Craig is amazing & on top of your car repair needs! I was recommended to his shop & having a shop with my ex-husband in Oakland California was impressed with how reasonable his prices are! He also has gone above & beyond to get the part needed for my car too! If you are in need of a great mechanic you can't find better then Craig's Auto Repair

I'm grateful to have Craig's team working on both of our cars for the last several years. The staff are consistently kind, respectful and responsive. They explain what they will do in advance and offer fair prices with no surprises. Not pushy about unnecessary repairs. Service is stellar. I would recommend them again and again.

They do a great job making sure that your car is in great shape and they do it with reasonable prices and extra care and if you have any issues, they re willing to look at your car again and make sure that nothing was messed. If you want to talk to Craig, they will also track him down for you and get you to talk to him so you re not handed off to somebody else.

For many years I struggled to find a knowledgeable mechanic I can trust. After many failed attempts at local and nation-wide chain mechanics that would rather replace parts rather than fix them, I gave Craig's a try after a recommendation from a friend. He is a mechanic himself and doesn't have time to work on his personal vehicles. I have been, exclusively, going to Craig's now for two plus years and couldn't be happier. Everything from the open, honest conversations Craig has with you about potential problems or issues both reactive and proactive to the flexibility you have of picking up your car after the shop has closed because it's attached to a gas station that has extended hours; including Sundays. If I could give ten stars I would.

We have been bringing our vehicles to him for more than 10 years. They do excellent work and they stand by it. They will work the problem with you and work with you on the solutions that will keep you safe and road worthy. Straight shooters and no surprises. I trust them, and recommend them at every opportunity. Thanks Craig and staff for being there and going the extra mile to get me going when both of my vehicles were down at the same time. You guys are life savers.

Really nice shop who helped me out big time today. I m not a regular client but was rushing to get my daughter to a cheer competition when I noticed I had a tire with very low air. I had no change or nothing to use the outdoor air machine . They quickly filled it up for me without anything in return. Very grateful, and glad to have business like this! Thank you!!

Serpentine belt needed replacing...it was shredded. I needed my car for work asap. Craig and Carey and all repair guys are always a pleasure to deal with and will tell you like it is and not gouge you for money or unneccessary repairs. I brought my old Jeep here and my new Mini here. You can get a ride from them home til repairs are done as long as your a reasonable close distance. Plus they will even pick you up after the repairs are done and bring you to the station. If your looking for honest opinions as to how to handle a vehicle issue or even just need to ask questions to understand more as to your options ...these guys are great!!! I have gone here for years and will continue to do so for years to come. Craig and Carey will make sure the right work gets done and what order it needs to be accomplished in if it needs to be work broken into chunks. Also working with what is best for you as far as a timeline. Great honest people to work with and they will make sure you know what needs doing in what time line at reasonable prices. So many places see a woman alone and either give the run around...short answers or jack up the prices it seems. I never feel that when getting work done here at Craig's or even calling to inquire about car service. 5 stars always!!!!!

I absolutely love family owned businesses. Trust worthy, not because they have to its because they want to. They know that is the reason for return customers. I had front pads and rotors, oil pan reseal, and water pump with belt. Craig explained that the tensioner was not required and that saved me $300 off the original quote. Honesty is the best policy. Found them with a web search for auto repair close to us and was surprised that what I thought was just a gas station had a repair garage on backside. They repaired AC condensor line leak, purged and recharged system. Cost was reasonable and we had cold air during the bad heat/humidity weather. Thanks Craig will use you again!

This is a rare mechanic shop. Can't say enough. 1. Truly honest. And I have countless examples. 2. FAIR. 3. Competent and responsible. I've been going there for years and I love these people. Oftentimes they don't even charge you. They never rip you off. They just do things the old-fashioned way and it's greatly appreciated. If any of these guys ever had a personal problem I would literally go help them that's how important this place is to me. Cars can be stressful to own. And, to have a company thats your advocate and not your enemy is truly warming to the heart.

This is this best auto service, period. Craig, Kelly, and the team are excellent going above and beyond. I recently got some work done, and they noticed the emission test was coming up so they took it, passing inspection and was ready for me after work saving me hours before registering. I have taken my vehicles to Craig's Auto since 2000 and they have never let me down. They are great at diagnosing problems and executing permanent fixes. Perhaps more importantly, they help me avoid problems with timely and cost effective preventative care. My 2005 Volvo is about to hit 200,000 miles and it runs like is just came off the showroom floor thanks to these guys and I have recommended them to many people over the years. These are very nice and straightforward folks with reasonable rates, I wish there were more folks that have their helpful attitude across all walks of life.Now I drive a VW Passat and they take care of my car like I was family!!!Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I was driving from Chicago to Aurora and punctured a tire on the I-88. I pulled over off IL53 and had no idea what was around. Conveniently Craig s shop was right in the corner. Craig s technician was extremely friendly and took care of showing me what had happened. They were super nice in offering putting on the spare tire for me. Craig himself was present and was extremely friendly in conversing with me about business while waiting.A million thanks to Craig and his team for the professional help. Coming from the automotive side and dealing with a lot of the shops in the Chicagoland area. Craig definitely is top notch service and very knowledgeable.

I brought my vehicle in yesterday for service/repairs. I was not provided with an estimate before the repair work was completed, which is disappointing/unacceptable. Good thing for me i was able to afford the $300 plus bill. Furthermore, my radio worked fine before i brought my vehicle in to be serviced. After i got my car back, the radio did not work, as i had no power to the unit. A mechanic informed me of the audio problem, and it was written in the notes on the receipt. However, I was given no explanation as to why the radio did not work, and no attempt was made to fix the problem. I'm extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with Craig's Auto Service, and i will be going elsewhere for auto service/repairs in the future.My former Cadillac had a damaged head gasket. Craig and his team told me they would not be able to complete that specific repair in their shop ...so they had no money to gain from the situation. However, they failed to tell me about the option of using a head gasket sealer, which are soldin retail shops, that are good for minor damages. Thankfully, I educated myself and bought something called K-Seal coolant repair. It was quick and easy... I dumped it in my coolant reservoir and it fixed the problem. That indicates to me that Craig and his team are really only interested in my welfare if it financially benefits them. An outstanding service repair shop would have made sure to have communicated that information to me. Just another example of how Craig's Auto Repair let me down.

Awesome service! I purchased my brakes through Auto Zone thinking I would find someone to do them and ended up wanting a professional job in the end. Called Craig's and they said they would allow me to bring in the parts and do the labor. Was able to get an appointment for a few days later. Asked that the car be finished by a certain time and it was done ahead of schedule. Easy drop off/pick up and everyone there was really nice! Great pricing. Will be back for future repairs/services.

Overall I had a great experience here. I had a fuel leak problem and I ordered my own tank but the place I ordered from shipped me the wrong tank. Craigs Auto was able to get it same day and installed it and was out on the lot! I couldn t be more satisfied with the quality, time management, and prices. I couldn t argue at all! I will be coming back for more work in the future!

I've been coming here for decades, mainly because of Cary. He creates trust, is open to questions, and even my hairbrain ideas! The whole staff creates confidence by producing solid work, and Cary manages them yet finds time to keep me updated when I must make quick decisions or when the car is ready.Craig's is pretty good for your local corner gas station-garage. They treat me very well. And their prices seem reasonable. They are also reasonably accommodating.I trust Craig's to give me accurate information about my cars. And Craig, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you'll meet.

Took my car there for a check engine light, they were able to diagnose the issue and fix it easily, quickly, and for a fair price. They were also able to help me reattach my bumper for the time being for a low cost. Wil for sure use them again! AMAZING & so helpful. Went above and beyond what is expected of an Auto Service Center. Any time I have ever left an auto repair experience, I have left feeling taken advantage of and unsatisfied. Not with Craig's! They were fast, incredibly affordable, and for the first time in 2 years my check engine light is gone. This was a rough year for me as a single mom, and Craig's Auto was the Christmas miracle I needed right before the new year. They have earned a customer for life and I will recommend them to anyone who needs auto work done.

Honest, reasonable prices, and friendly staff.....are only some of the reasons to get your car serviced at Craig's. I had the service engine indicator light go off on my dashboard and Craig's was able to accommodate a time with me to bring my car into the shop. They diagnosed the problem, offered me pricing to fix the issue, and had the work completed in a reasonable time frame. About a month after the service, my check engine light once again illuminated. I brought my car into the shop last week. They scanned it, told me the problem and were able to do a quick-fix without having to change the part out. They didn't charge me for the service and so far the light has stayed off. I appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at Craig's Auto.
