I brought my 2009 VW golf TDI to them with a pretty heavy coolant leak and they were able to find the problem within the promised time (thank you)They informed me that I needed a new water pump and could use a coolant system flush and new air filter. After approving the work they were able to find the parts and finish the job way ahead of schedule. It has been 2 months since then and I have had zero issues and my car and driveway are cleaner then ever! Thank you Pit shop and the wonderful crew you have working there!Service: Auto water leak repair

I brought my 2017 Mini for the first time to this shop, and they were very helpful, accommodating to my work schedule, and their work on my car was great! I usually bring my vehicle to the dealership, however The Pit Stop's prices were more affordable, and their quality and service was appreciated very much!I will continue to give The Pit Stop my service.Services: Electrical, Auto brake replacement

Before we started going to Pit Shop we used to drive to our dealership in Barrington for regular service appointments. Pit Shop is much faster and more convenient, and they always do a great job. Most recently I had Pit Shop put on new tires. They charged significantly less for the exact same Pirelli s and they did it in one day.

I took my 2013 BMW for 70,000 mile check. I have always taken my car to the BMW dealership to be serviced & this was my first time visiting this shop. I was so pleased with the professionalism & quick service that I received. I was able to get an appointment the next day after I called & my car was serviced the same day as promised. When I entered the shop, I was impressed to see my name on a chalkboard welcoming me. They performed the requested checks & called me to suggest other services I may want to consider. I was very pleased with the entire process. I would definitely make this my repair shop & would recommend anyone who wants quality service without high cost of BMW dealerships to try Pit Shop European Repair.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

After having a bad experiece with another auto mechanic shop, I was beyond grateful to find these guys. They were literally a ray of sunshine. I have an older Porsche that most shops don't have the knowledge to repair and if they do I have to sell an organ to pay for it. The European Garage provided me with outstanding communication and customer service. They were pleasant, friendly, easy to work with and very reasonably priced. The bill was half of what the other shop was going to charge for the same repair. I can't remember ever leaving an auto repair shop this happy and satisfied. Thanks for a great experience!

it's been a year later since my last service, I've just been lazy to post a review. but I towed my 3 series in not knowing what caused the issue. luckily I have extended warranty and the shop took care of everything including talking to the possibly annoying warranty company. it did take some time (about 2 months) but I was in no rush. overall great service. they even got me deals on extra repairs. European cars can be confusing to repair at times and these guys have the connections if they're in a pinch.Service: Engine repair

*EDIT* in response to the shop s reply to my original review.I specifically stated via phone during booking that I needed my vehicle worked on the day of my appointment (to which the owner acquiesced). At no point during booking was I told the shop intended to go on a test drive with me, THEN schedule me for a follow up appointment.*Original Review* - I called The European Garage detailing a suspension issue I needed addressed on my BMW M6 (and inquired about availability). When I brought the car in (at the time of my appointment) the owner told me they no longer had the capacity to work on my car that day.A simple phone call notifying me of the change in bandwidth would have saved me the wasted time and effort.

Excellent experience! The BMW dealership could not definitively diagnose the issue on my BMW X5 35D diesel and instead proposed to simply throw a bunch of expensive parts at it and see what happens. Drew's technicians at The European Garage were able to accurately diagnose and fix the issue. I also appreciated the fact that Drew was very communicative, honest and always had time to explain the issues and answer my questions. I will definately return when I need automotive service in the future.

Found this place on the internet and based on all these positive reviews I decided to take my Mercedes c300 here on Friday the 2nd of august for misfire on 4 5 6, rich condition bank 2 and check engine light.I already did some diagnosing on my own as i have a code reader at home. All along i suspected the 02 sensor but it was in a very difficult place to reach without a car lift. Met Dan at European garage, explained to him i have changed a few things myself and i strongly suspected the 02 sensor, he told me his MB expert is out with the flu until Monday the 5th of August and i agreed to leave the car with him until Monday.Monday about midday he calls me to ask if i changed the injectors, and i replied i did not then he said he will have more info for me later that day or the next day.Tuesday again he called and asked me what plugs and coils i changed as they were getting lean codes and i told him 4 5 and 6. At the stage i was already getting suspicious my car had not been looked at and he was just bulshiting me as I know my codes are not lean but rich.Got a call again on Wednesday telling me they pulled the codes and it was a misfire on 4 5 6 and rich on bank 2 and they were charging me $198.75 just to read those codes. He said they were still looking at it and will call later that day or the next day.Thursday again he calls and say they are going to do a compression test and ECU test and it would cost me another $198.75 and asking if they should go ahead. I told him i would call him back in a bit.I got off the phone and called Mercedes Benz to book an apointment, Mercedes told me their Diagnostic cost $170 and i get a free loaner can while my car is being fixed. On my way to the European garage i met an old friend who is a mechanic and told him my problem and he said he can take a look at it, when i got there Dan did not want to release my car he now told me they can fix the 02 Sensor for about $790 and i told him i am here to pick up my car. After some minutes my car was released and i paid him the $198.75 for reading the codes I already read with my code reader. Took the car to my friends garage at bout 4pm Thursday evening and by 10am Friday morning i looked at my phone and had 6 missed calls from my friend, he said your car is ready and your bill is $330 for parts and labor, he changed the 02 sensor. Because of what i had endured from European garage i gave my friend $500. Stay away from this garage. Places like this are okay for changing engine oil not serious stuff.

Once again, I want to thank Pit Shop for their excellent service on my vehicle. Though I live almost 30 miles away, they are my go to when it comes to my vehicle maintainance.I highly recommend them!

Great communicators. Willing to explain things on layman's terms. Expensive - but generally work on high-end cars. I drive a Volkwagon, and VW are institutional liars and cheats, so I wanted a great garage that knew their stuff. You get what you pay for, and I will keep this experiment going provided that keep my car going well for a reasonable cost.

How is it that an established business claims they don't have a nozzle for their welding torch and you wait a few days to get one?! Then welding a crack in a muffler / pipe costs almost $200! Don't trust these guys...

Great work and service. I have had two of my cars here and they are up front and easy to work with. Above what I expected and will keep going back. Skip the dealer and check them out.
