I purchased a 2020 Navigator Reserve in June. Took it in for its first service appointment earlier this week. Scheduled an in-facility appointment due to living outside of their service area. There were multiple lowlights and one highlight. From the time I drove up, my experience was disappointing. I pulled into the service center. No one guided me in or told me where to go. I walked into the service staff area to silent for what seemed like awhile, even though I was the only customer. My appointment had been scheduled wrong as a Mobile appt. Then another person came in to tell me I needed to move my car. Not friendly. I still haven t seen a smile or acknowledgment of appreciation as a customer. So I moved it as instructed. Then they tell me I have to move my car again to Quicklane, which feels like a Jiffy Lube. Drop the car key to them. Typical experience from there for standard oil service but when I go to get the car back, they tell me I owe $100 for the battery reset. This seems to be a legitimate Lincoln service thing (unfortunately) but still, it was a surprise to me. At this point I voiced my frustrations over various issues I have been experiencing with the power system and with their treatment of me during my visit. I stated that the service people had been rude and unhelpful. One of the more experienced service staff tuned into this conversation and walked me to my car where he took a look at a few things and serviced my running boards as a possible source of my power system issues. He was extremely informative and patient. I think his name was Ed. To put this in context, I have an Audi and a Mazda. I cannot think of a single similar instance at service departments with either vehicle across multiple service centers. Where I go is clear. I m always greeted upon entry. I m greeted as a real person who is appreciated as a customer. I m told up front about known service costs and the lounge area is a bit nicer. If this was a regular Ford, I wouldn t be as picky, but this is Lincoln and I would expect more from a premium brand.
