I recently purchased a stunning black Ascent from Liberty City Subaru, and I couldn t be happier with my experience. Hormis, my salesperson, was incredibly honest, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. He listened to my needs and found the perfect vehicle for me. James, the sales manager, was also fantastic! Went above and beyond ensuring that everything went smoothly and I got a great deal. I had a great experience at this dealership! Their prices are very competitive. Tom was a wonderful salesperson. He was kind, patient, knowledge, and respectful. Neil in Finance was also easy and good to work with. And, Peter was outstanding at explaining all of the features of my vehicle the day of the sale and even afterwards - many weeks later, he scheduled an appointment with me to go over everything. I have purchased many vehicles throughout my life, and my experience at Liberty Auto City Subaru was one of the best if not the best experience I have had purchasing a car.

He answered all the questions we had and explained EVERYTHING. I was upfront about my approach and at no point did Charles try making another deal I was not looking for. I had explained how I would need time to look at the numbers and that I would need to come back, Charles understood and ALL HE WANTED WAS FOR US TO BE HAPPY WITH OUR PURCHASE. They don't make em like our friend Charles anymore (a big HEART and THANKS goes out to our guy Charles!)Huge thanks to Finance Manager Miguel, a straight shooter who knows how business should be done, and clearly explained EVERYTHING when it came to financing. We found the financing process within the dealership to be honest, clear, and detailed in the best of ways.Let us NOT forget my guy! **Updated post**Purchased a 2023 Ascent from Liberty in November and could not be happier! Everything I said below - all still true. Excellent sales and service, really a pleasure to work with everyone at Liberty. And I have to mention my salesman - Hormis K! Low key, knowledgeable, helpful and there whenever I have a question.I've purchased or leased four vehicles from Liberty Auto City Subaru in the last 12 years. I keep going back because I am always so satisfied with the customer service. I've found the salespeople at Liberty to be very low key - always up front and transparent about costs and options. They don't play games and they don't try to sell you a lot of extras you don't want or need. The process of buying or leasing is explained well and there's not a lot of waiting around. Once you've purchased, your salespeople are still there, I know I can always text or call and they will know who I am and immediately offer to help with any issues or questions. In between purchases the service department keeps everything running smoothly. They are also professional, courteous and up-front about what they're going to do and how much it is going to cost. I'll be buying my next Suby from Liberty - you should too.

Excellent customer service. They were able to get me taken care of and out the door in an hour. I have a warranty and service is included, but I would still come here without it. Most recently I was taken care of by David and he did a great job of explaining my situation like I was 5 so that I understood what they were doing to my car.

We just bought a used 2021 Crosstrek. The sales person was great. However the rest of the experience was less than good. We were paying cash for the car and it took over 2 hours to complete the process. The financial person who did the paperwork was very short once he realized we were not going with the extended warranty on the car.Once we took ownership of the car I reached out to Subaru to change the owner on the car for the app. Subaru informed me (NOT the dealership) That there was an open recall on the car. That's bad customer service in my book.

I had such a negative experience that if I end up going with the forester, I will go to a different Subaru dealer to get the car. The person I worked with, I believe his name is Christian, was extremely rude. It is unclear if he would not or could not provide a good run down of the car s features. When I told him I was considering hybrid SUV s as well, he was smug and again, extremely rude. When we test drove the car, he was on his phone doing personal things and treated the questions I had as major inconveniences. He was condescending through the entire experience. I m actually surprised a manager did not catch wind of the bad experience by the time we were sitting at his desk, but maybe this is normal here. It seems he sized me up and decided that I was not a serious buyer. On the contrary, I m a cash buyer and needing a car within the next month. It s my first interaction with Subaru and it will be my last at this dealership.

Beware, the "certified pre-owned" service at this dealership is a waste.Any certified pre-owned car should be called "pre-certified" pre-owned. They put it on the customer to pay for the certification.Also, the certifications "rigorous 152-point safety inspection" is a lie. I've owned the car for 3 weeks and already needed a re-alignment and will need to replace a warped rotor.

My wife and I leased a Subaru forester limited about a month ago. After visiting 5 other dealerships, I was discouraged about the lack of quality cars and the even bigger lack of quality employee interactions. We were very close to not even driving out of the way to Liberty, but we made the trip anyways. It was a pleasant surprise to meet a salesman who was as laid back, (Hormis Korkis) provided information quickly and without any over intended sales pitch. We actually liked the used 21 Subaru limited we test drove, but actually found a new 23 limited in the color my wife wanted. We test drove it and it was exactly what we were looking for. So it was an easy decision. The test was seamless and we even appreciated the walk through of all the new technology with another specialist at liberty. I d suggest Liberty to my friends or family.

I ve bought five brand new WRXs over the last 10 years. Two from Berman in Chicago. One from Evanston Subaru and two from Gerald Subaru. I tried to give libertyville Subaru a chance. I was supposed to be working with Emma. She left me a voice message. I called back and texted back. Then I called again and a man answered. I showed them the 12% off msrp one of their competitors was offering me. The man said he would call me back right away to let me know by how much they could beat that discount. I was waiting for an hour. So I texted Emma about the calls and the price match or better price. They didn t have the decency to keep their word and call back. Instead, Emma texted me back she would not price match or beat the price. Did not even take the time to call me back or at the very least offer a price match. For this lack of professionalism I give them one star. They lost out on a great customer with a 780 credit score that was ready to make the deal this week. I did call five other dealers and they all were willing to price match and one of them was able to give me an even BETTER deal on a 2024 Custom Factory Limited WRX order. I can see why they are one of the lowest rated Subaru dealers

I had bought a car last year, the first day owning it had low oil pressure. Not only that, but the check engine was cleared because all the codes were on standby when I checked with my reader. The dealer refused to refund. I took it in, they cold started it, claimed it was fine, then the engine blew up. Warranty not covering anything.

Liberty Subaru is an authorized dealer in Costco car purchase program. The savings from the program were incredible. The service quality of Liberty was super and excellent. Everyone including the sales manager and sales advisor was eager to help. Thanks to Rich, Charles, Dejon, and Michael!

Thanks so much to Damian our salesman and Neil in finance on sticking around after closing to seal the deal on our new Subaru. 20 minutes before closing and told them our issue from the other dealership we just came from and made the process easy. No games, no bs, just simple pricing and no pushy tactics. Neil got us a great rate and made the whole process easy. Even though it was after hours and detail shop was closed, Damian took the vehicle to get washed and prepped while we were in finance. Very knowledgeable and explained all the features of the vehicle to my wife. Made sure multiple times to ensure we were satisfied and even gave us the Subaru military discount as well. Turned our sour day into a happy ending and really appreciate them for being about the customer. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Do NOT buy parts online from this company. They shipped something, it was picked up and subsequently lost by USPS, and LACS expect ME to 1) Contact USPS 2) File a Claim with USPS (do you know how arduous that is?!) 3) Wait and see what USPS will do before "considering" whether they will issue a refund. I guess they think this was my fault? Avoid at all costs - there are far more reputable suppliers out there that have at least a modicum of integrity. I really hope you enjoy my money, LACS...Happy Holidays indeed.

If you are looking to buy a new Subaru, look no further. Daijon, Ron and Rich are very friendly, treat you like family, and made the car buying experience seemless. When compared to other dealers, Liberty City Subaru will give you a deal. The quote I received via email was the price in the finance office, no surprises. I am very happy that I chose Liberty City Subaru. I will be back again once it is time to upgrade the other cars in my household. Thank you Liberty City Subaru !

One of the best dealers I ve done business with! Seriously, I was car shopping for about a month and this was one of the only dealers that didn t try any of the annoying car dealer scams or taking advantage of the market to gouge its customers. I had just come from Napaleton Subaru in Palatine where they were trying to charge 4K above sticker and wouldn t budge. I called Liberty and they gave me a no nonsense deal, I didn t have to haggle, there was no pressure to buy, and I didn t have to deal with unnecessary aftermarket dealer accessories, and the sales staff were incredibly nice. Ask for Charles when you get there, one of the nicest salespersons I ve had the pleasure to buy from.

What an excellent dealership with awesome people! Eduardo, Neil and Rich treated us like family! They went out of their way to answer all of our questions and were very sensitive to our concerns. They were all very patient and no pressure whatsoever from any of the staff. We purchased a 2023 Forester and we could not be happier! My husband and I could both see that this is a well managed dealership with a genuinely friendly staff that enjoy what they do. It shows that ownership and management truly care about the customer and want to earn your repeat business by making the car buying experience enjoyable and hassle free. BEWARE OF CARS IN TRANSIT!Beware of cars not on the lot and that are in transit. On January 5th, I was so excited to find a Subaru that was going to be on its way to this location. It had everything I wanted. So, instead of ordering from a Subaru dealership closer to me, I instead drove the hour to get there all the way from Wisconsin. It appears that customer service doesn t matter after you sign the paperwork. I signed the paperwork that day and was told that the car should be in tomorrow or Monday at the latest and that I would be getting a call back about it. I hear nothing the next day. Ok, cool. No big deal if it s Monday. Monday comes around and I still didn t hear anything until after I call to ask if the car came in. It did not. The ETA changed to the 16th. Now, it is past the 16th and I have not heard anything. I have not received any communication about where the car is. At this point, I m wondering if this car really was in transit to this location. Yesterday, I called to ask about it and, strangely enough, everyone was too busy. So the lady on the phone took my name and number so someone could give me a call back. Even said how it would be put down as important. Apparently, it wasn t important enough for them to give me an update yet. So, here we are two weeks later and I am left in the dark about the mere existence of this car. It appears that once you sign the paperwork for an in transit car, it doesn t matter if they leave you hanging. Additionally, I still have not received any information on how to pay my car payment next month (which at this rate I m gonna have a payment due before I even get the car)! Shady.

We're new customers to Subaru, and couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the first time we entered the dealership, it was a no hassle environment. Charles was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and helped make it a stress-free experience. Same goes for James and Miguel - a fair price for our trade in and a no pressure deal all around. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new car. (And I absolutely love my new Ascent!)
