I have been going to Car-X Libertyville for over a year and have been extremely happy with their work, their prices, and their customer service. I have had both major repair and preventative work done and their prices are always better or match everyone around. They get me in and out same day and their location perfect to walk to or wait at the diner next door. Loyal customer for sure.

I went in for oil change and to have my brakes looked at. Turned out brakes were fine but there were a few other things that the manager informed me about. The nice thing is that you don t have to worry about overselling here- everything is completely transparent- they have a cool system where photos and diagnostics about your car get directly sent to you and you re given a timeline on whether this is very important or can be delayed. They give you all the information you need to make your own decisions and that s exactly how it should be. The manager is very knowledgeable and understands your needs - that s great customer service. If you want to go somewhere you can trust- this would be it.

This shop saved me over a thousand dollars vs other shops that quoted me. Great customer service. They actually want to help you see your car get fixed not just make a quick buck.Thanks again, loyal customer for life.

I was having a check light issue for several months and I took my car in for them to look into. The team was very professional making sure my time is valued. They quickly took my car in and rapidly diagnosed what the issues were. Sometimes as a woman it can be intimidating taking your car to a repair shop and feeling like you re out of your depth. I really appreciated Shaq walking me through all the issues and what each meant and how I should approach getting them fixed. What to prioritize now and what to address later. I felt they weren t pushy and were focused on doing what was best for me. The team was able to fix the immediate issue quickly and get me back on the road. And I will be bringing my car back so the rest can be looked at later.

I made an appointment for my Toyota Camry for full synthetic Oil change. They found I had a cracked housing on my plastic oil filter. Replaced it with a metal housing & got me out the door quite quickly. Price for oil change was reasonable. But Charged me labor for removing the old filter housing. They installed it in a timely manner cost for the oil change was a good price.

I ve been taking my family s vehicles to this CarX for years and I always receive excellent service - from diagnostics to repair. I drive my cars until they give up the ghost and Manny and his crew helped my old Toyota Corolla live 342,000 miles. Good people here.

Got quoted to patch exhaust by other shop. They did it for same price to REPLACE the pipes not just patch . Plus fixed power steering for half of what I was quoted by other shop. Did it all in less than a day. Great job. Would recommend!

Came to Car-X Libertyville for a second opinion and I m glad I did. Shaq and his team were very informative and were able to fit me in that day. I highly recommend this place because they provide quality car service and quality customer service without feeling like you re being ripped off! My repairs were done in an optimal time and they even checked in days later to make sure everything was running smoothly. Definitely coming back for future car maintenance.

We got a flat tire With a large gash in it on a very cold weekend morning. Most of the tire shops were closed. These guys not only were open, but fit us in between a bunch of other appointments and got it done by 1:30 PM. They ended up changing all four tires at my request as well as changing the oil, straightening the alignment, and changing some filters all for a very reasonable price. I recommend Kevin and his team highly.

My cars heat was not working properly, the Car-X team was incredibly fair with the price point and fixed up my car in no time. The team there really does care about their customers and will do anything to make sure your car is up, working, and ready to go! I highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future.

Great service! Communication is key. Provides pictures of items that need repair. Good discussions on what should be done and what can wait for repair, no pressure at all. On top of that extremely friendly. Ask for Shaq.

This was a one stop shop. I ve gone here multiple times and they never fail to be efficient and get my car up and running in no time. Whether it s an oil change or something s up with my engine - they are quick to diagnose and fix the problem. Fantastic team - friendly and all around amazing. Would highly recommend!!!

Shaq the manager super knowledgeable, knows what he s doing, does not pressure you into getting any work done, politely lets you know what your car needs, most importantly honest it s hard to find that at any shops. I do have a closer car X but be taking the extra drive to this car X. Everyone overall was excellent customer service especially Shaq.

Amazing service experience. The shop is very clean and modern. Shaq and Kevin were extremely polite and did not try to sell me extra services. All of the technicians were very knowledgeable. They explained exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and were very timely on servicing it.

Had a last minute car battery issue and could not be without the vehicle for more than the day. Manny acted quick, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had my vehicle ready to go in 2 1/2 hours flat. Also, did not jerk me around with false diagnoses. Would return anytime!

I took my car in for a winterization check-up and Manny and his team were fantastic! Wonderful and friendly communication, thorough inspection and I was sent a detailed examination of my car with photos that showed the issues needed to be addressed. Great group of mechanics.Replaced brakes and an oxygen sensor for less than what the dealership and other shops quoted. Car also passed the emissions test on first try.Thank you!

Excellent work. My local mechanic failed to solve the problem and these guys solve it and I spent only $200. They were able to find the problem that nobody else could find. I will be bringing my car back to you in the future.

I think this Car X is a good one I really do.I had a problem with my truck and I thought it was one thing but was very wrong, they diagnosed the problem told me what it was and fixed it and now my truck runs great! The problem I had with my truck I had never heard of before,but they knew what it was and educated me on something I never knew existed with a vehicle.This place is great hands down!

I have brought at least my last 3 vehicles here. Manny is an angel and he s always fair. He genuinely wants to help get your car in good working order and isn t in it to overcharge. He can work with you so you can drive safely on a budget and he can keep old cars that need lots of love working well. I would trust him with my luxury car or my old junker just the same, and every time I come in I am reminded that I don t have to be on constant guard because he s going to do a great job at a fair price. He s quick too!The shop is always clean and though there s not lots of seating or bells and whistles it is comfortable and nice, and it s also very close to downtown libertyville so if it s nice you can walk and get food or shop.Service: Brake service & repair
