Just want to Thank the guys at Remington Automotive, especially Riley and Nick. Thanks for making and taking time to look over every inch of a car i am purchasing and pointing out all the potential issues as well as making it affordable to fix the problems that are potentially dangerous. Ive always felt taken care of at Remington and never taken advantage of. I will never go anywhere else for my truck. I had been dealing with a failing high pressure fuel pump and was quoted double what Remington ultimately did the work for. The best part was, after being jerked around by a Chevy Dealer, I walked right in, and received a quote right there on the spot. Better yet, they performed the work the very next day, and 3 days later, I did a 2,100 mile road trip to Texas with absolute confidence in their work. Completely world class shop here! Couldn't be more pleased with them, and won't take my vehicles anywhere else ever again. If you are looking for old world honesty and good mechanics, for simple to complex things, these guys and this shop don't disappoint.

Our long time auto mechanic recently retired so we were looking for someone we could count on. Remington came highly recommended from neighbors and friends so we gave them a try. Having 2 rear wheel bearings replaced is no easy way to get to know someone however I can attest that the experience was exceptional. From the time I walked in and met Steve to getting the diagnosis call from Riley, to picking up our vehicle the next morning, everything went smoothly. We would/will do business with them again. I ve been to many car repair shops in my life. This one is by far the best! They are fair and always do a nice job. Search no more, this place is trustworthy! It s family owned and they take pride in their work and business. Give them a try!!!

Engine Power Reduced w Check engine light popped on my chevy cruise 2017 and was not happy. called a couple places and this place gave me the best price for diagnosis and once they figured out what was wrong the fee went to the repair. When i picked it up they checked my battery and gave me a free quote for tires! Great customer service and recommend!

Needed emergency work done on my car. They were able to get me in RIGHT AWAY! Which is huge especially when you only have one car. They took my car right in and everything was examined and handled same day. They took pictures and showed what was wrong with the vehicle which i thought was great!4Stars because they charged me identically to what volvo would have charged me. Being a local shop i would have imagined that the cost would be a little better than dealership pricing. Call for a quote.

Customer for 25 years for repairs of my cars and children's cars. Big enough shop to handle larger repairs, small enough that you can get a real safety check (do I need brakes?) along with an inexpensive oil change.

What an amazing experience. Super cool staff. They are busy for a reason so have patience. They were almost half the cost of shop one town away in Palatine. This is the ONLY place I will ever take my car for repairs and service. Thank you for the pleasant experience. When my older high mileage vehicle started making a horrible noise I automatically went to the doom and gloom side of what was coming but Steve at Remington was extremely helpful and not only put my mind at ease, he was able to solve the problem reasonably and quickly. Highly recommend!!!!

I was recommended the shop by a friend of mine who used them for 15+ years now. My car needed some maintenance work as well as a few parts to be correctly secured. The attention to detail and outstanding work that Remington's crew put into correcting a different shop's errors on my vehicle go unmatched. I'm so happy with the work they did - my car drives like new.Their work was beyond my expectations and I will continue to use them for any other car maintenance. 10/10 would recommend this place!

My family has been coming to Remington for over a decade with cars ranging in age from 1999-2006. Brad, Roger (both retired), and now Riley have always given us recommendations on which repairs can wait and which repairs cannot. They ve ALWAYS given fair prices, and the work they did was solid. I was sad when I moved out of the Chicago area, because it s hard to find good shops where you trust that they re not just recommending stuff to make a buck. This is the "go-to-place" if you're looking for an honest assessment of your mechanical automotive issues. My wife had previously used Firestone, who told her she needed a whole new tire when she had a puncture from a nail. Last night I checked out the reviews on Remington and today my wife and I visited their location in Lake Zurich. When we arrived, Riley was courteous, quick and told us they'd be done shortly. Since there were other customers waiting, I thought quickly would be an hour to two hours like it is at most service stations. I was quite surprised when I got a text in about 20 minutes that our car was ready. I was even more amazed when Riley told us how low the cost for service was. The reviews of this business are totally on point. I will never go to any other automotive shop with my car. I've tried the rest, now I'll stick with the best!Service: Tires

Twice in the last two months we needed a tire repair. Not only did they take us when no one else would but both experiences were above standard of care. We even overheard the owner expressing his concern over an elderly woman picking up her car and driving after dark and insisting she call him when she got home safely! Remington Automotive exceeded my expectations by far (and my expectations were already high enough based on the other reviews here :)) Service was fast and efficient, Steve was professional and friendly, price was unbeatable. At Remington Automotive they not only take care of your car but also protect your wallet.I asked for an appraisal of 6 services which were recommended by a dealer. To my surprise Remington Automotive was willing to do all of them for 50% of the dealer's request. My bewilderment was even bigger when I saw the final charge amounted to only 8% of the initial dealer request.At Remington Automotive they checked if all 6 services were necessary at this point. After examining fluids and spark plugs in my car they advised me to do only 2 out of 6 recommended by the dealer.So, if you want to have good service and be sure your money is spent only on needed services then I advise everyone to visit Remington Automotive. They are about integrity which is rare to find anymore - honest, professional and cost conscious.

These guys are just awesome! On my way to work, I noticed my tire pressure was a bit low. I called Remington to see if I could get in.They got me in right away. My tire was fixed and even let me pay over the phone to pick up my van Later.Service: TiresService: Tires

My family has been trusting our cars with Remington for over 18 years. They provide exceptional service, and treat everyone like family. I cannot say enough good things about Remington Automotive! Fairly priced, if you don't believe me, go get an oil change there! We all should support local businesses, and Remington deserves our support because they support us with fair pricing and timely service!

First the heating stopped working, then the engine started overheating I called these guys in the morning, dropped off the car soon after, got a quote in around 20 minutes and my car was ready by 2PM. The car drives and works like new. This place is professional, honest with great customer service.

I brought in our Lexus truck after being quoted an outrages price from the dealer to fix. We just moved here so I didn't have a mechanic. I went on fb and everyone in the area recommended Remington. I went in and not only were they less expensive, but they repaired a bunch of things that made sense to repair being they were taking apart the top end of the engine anyway. Still cheaper than the dealer. They had great communication and even offered me a laoner. These are my guys now. Check them out if u need a trustworthy mechanic.

I grew up with a Dad that owned a gas/service station so I'm just a little picky about auto repair. I have been totally disillusioned in the past with another Lake Zurich repair shop but then we found Remington. This is the second time we've brought one of our cars in and the second time that we had a great experience. They are knowledgeable, friendly, honest and they don't try and sell you repairs for things that aren't broken. Also, their prices are amazing! Both times we've been in, the prices have been significantly lower than we expected. I would strongly recommend Remington Automotive!

The owner is gruff, but friendly. The service with coupon was cheap and fast. The owner researched the best replacement tires for my make and model, and printed out an information sheet from the manufacturer. He offered the sale and service, but there was no pushing whatsoever. I would definetely go back for any future service.

It was a fast and quality service. I did an oil change and it was finished under 30 minutes the price was reasonable too. Great place to get auto services
