Best experience all around I have ever had dealing with any automotive issue. Jim is very knowledgeable and has great customer service. He thoroughly explained the issue my car was having with the AC not working and was upfront with what the cost would be before doing any work. The price was very reasonable and worth it based off of all the experience you can tell Jim has. The work was done promptly and I did not have to question if it was done right. I went with this place based off of all the great reviews and can now see why there are so many. If you need a go to guy Jim is the man.

These guys do a great job at reasonable prices. I had my 1979 Ferrari air conditioning repaired by them. I have owned the car for about 5 years and the AC never worked. They were able to diagnose it and repair it in one day. This is not an easy car to work on. The repair required no parts, only a recharge of the original system.

Jim and Kevin are always very helpful and professional. Delivering quality repairs at a very reasonable price. I haven't given them any problems too tough to tackle so far. Always a pleasure to deal with them.

Jim did a fantastic job getting the AC working on my 93 RX7 for the first time in 8 years. Great attention to detail and appreciate the honesty in the work he was doing. He showed me the existing problems and explained the options I had to resolve them. The work was completed faster than I anticipated and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend his shop if you need any service done.

2017: Great people, honest work, reputable owner, and reasonable prices. I've been going to this place for over 10 years.2020 Update: Another great experience this morning. I asked the owner, Jim, to check into a few things on my 2014 Civic. He serviced what was needed, said the one item is never needed unless broken, and recommended a fluid additive over charging me $100+ for service on another item. It's a blessing to have such honest business owners like Jim out there!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

If you have any automotive heating or cooling issues, this is the place to go! Jim, the owner is very knowledgeable and a really good guy. He also boils out fuel tanks if that service is needed.

I met Jim this past year and he has been absolutely outstanding. I used to use one of the national repair shops and ever time I would take my car in, it was $800-$1200. Jim treats me fairly and honestly, and at a very competitive price. One thing I didn't expect, given the name, is that they do all kinds of work. I would HIGHLY recommend Jim and Lake Zurich Radiator for any repairs on your car.John

Unfortunately, my family has had lots of car issues in the past few years. Jim always does a great job of taking care of us and is always very reasonable. Great guy, great shop. Highly recommended.

So I was over at 1-800 Radiator and they lost my paperwork they lost my radiator finally got it back but I had a construction crew that was without a truck for 3 weeks. I can't tell you how hard that was dropped off the radiator at Jim the shop was clean everybody's working everybody's focused they have a system down there and it looks good. He boiled it out to double-check to make sure that everything was good enough that we can record it. He was recommended by a friend maybe a tad pricey from the old place on the corner but dang I like their work

I needed an AC guy I could trust. Good luck, right?!� Well, Jim is your guy!I looked in my area and saw Lake Zurich with good reviews. Read through the glowing reviews that said he was honest, etc.That's exactly what I got. Great service, very knowledgeable, good price. He gave me my options. After a full recharge, he said I could change the condenser, or leave it as is. No pressure!� Exactly what I was looking for.Car cools very well. Will go back if ever needed.

Jim, you run a great business. I was highly recommended to bring my truck in for AC repair and your shop did a great job! It was really nice of ya to take the time to show me all of the repairs and explain to me in detail the fixes that were made. My truck now has ice cold AC and ready for a summer road trip. This place is a great small shop. Very reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable. They had me in and out in no time. Watching Jim replace my radiator was pretty cool, he has it down to a science. Friendly, honest, competent and timely...what more could I ask for?Once again, I leave satisfied with my visit here. I've recommended a handful of people already, and will continue to.Thanks Lake Zurich Radiator!!!

Although this shop originally focused on heating and A/C, it has expanded over the years into nearly every facet of automobile maintenance. Jim, the co-owner and shop manager, is an amazingly talented technician who can provide service for pretty much anything you need done to your vehicle. His prices are competitive and the work quality will exceed your expectations -- every time! I and my family are long-time patrons and would not go anywhere else for auto service.

I wish every automotive repair place was as honest*, easy, and reasonable as LZ Radiator. Im glad they are specialists, but wish they were generalists so I could keep coming back.

Jim was extremely fast, knowledgable, and professional. He answered all of my questions and explained things as he did the work. Would not hesitate to bring my vehicle here again and will highly recommend to anyone needing AC or radiator service.

Over the past 10 years I have increasingly come to rely on Lake Zurich Radiator as my main mechanic--I always call them first because I know I can trust them. If it's a job they cannot do, they are happy to refer me. When it is a job they can take care of for me, I know they will provide exceptional quality, professional and friendly service, and all at a fair price. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

Don't like getting the run around? Then come here first, you get straight talk and quality work at a fair price. I called mechanics in Arlington Heights for a referral on a radiator repair shop. Each one i spoke with said go to Lake Zurich Radiator, i now know why and i am happy i did.

This is one of those rare car service places that you can trust. Jim and Kevin are the best. They take the time to diagnose your car and do only what needs to be done. When you leave you know that the repair was done right. Highly recommend this repair shop.

My son's Acura RDX air conditioning stopped working, so he took the car to Firestone in Lake Zurich for an estimate. Firestone said the freon level was just a little low and normal for a 2007, but the compressor needed to be replaced for a little over $1400. Not expecting such a big bill, we took the car to get two more estimates. The first was Hawkeye Automotive which required over $100 to do the estimate and wouldn't be able to perform the repair until the following week, so we decided not to get their estimate. My son took the car to LZ R & AC and after observing that there was NO freon in the car, estimated the repair at $157 for a relay and freon. The repair was completed in under and hour and the car is back home. Assuming the repair continues to work, we are quite happy.

I agree with the other good reviews, I've had LZR&AC fix A/C problems in three older cars now. Every time they only fixed the parts that were needed, keeping our cost to a minimum. In our van only the rear A/C unit failed, and that's all they replaced. In our Volvo, it was the accumulator. Most recently (2012), only a manifold connecting the hoses failed, and that's what they replaced. They find the one thing that went wrong.In every repair, they seemed to do more than they charged me for. More importantly, they were upfront with costs and dead on in getting jobs done in the time they stated. AND in keeping those vehicles several years after the repairs, I never had to bring one back. I hope they're here as long as I am!

Love this place. My 2004 Toyota Sequoia has 160k miles and time to replace all the suspension and lower steering joints. It now steers and rides like a new SUV again!
