I brought in a brand new vehicle with 40 miles on it. Resulted in $800 in damage...1. They damaged my wheels, gashes2. Incorrectly installed rings blocking pressure valves on wheels3. Stripped 25 bolts on wheel rings4. Did not properly balance tires5. Failed to reinstall back-up camera casing6. Said they couldn't balance one tire so they put it as the spare rather than order a new tire. Then claimed rim was bent when I requested they order a new tire as providing an unbalanced new tire was unacceptable.Had to get replacement parts from dealership and have all work redone. A few examples attached....

Great staff! The guys kept me informed and gave me a choice of doing additional work now or later. I trust Firestone and have recommended to many friends. One friend recently had work done at this Firestone and couldn t believe what she saved over the dealer she usually uses. Great job!

The Lake Zurich Firestone has been taking care of my cars since 2015 and always do a wonderful job, communicate the progress of the service and explain things thoroughly. I trust them completely....and everyone is so friendly!

I love firestone. Not because my grandfather and my father were longtime executives from the start but I have always gotten dependable service and caring people. While yes I do have a backyard mechanic that saves me alot of money sometimes there are things I just dont mess with when it comes to the safety of my car. Thank you for many years of service and more to come

Very Satisfied. My appointment time was respected and I was charged for what I was quoted. I even asked for alignment and was not charged since the alignment was in order.

Richard Borik was very friendly and knowledgeable about car repairs. Also this location is extremely honest with me about what needed to be done with my car.

Unfortunately, I used this Firestone when my check engine light came on. I do not live in the area so I needed something quick. They ran their diagnostic test- did not look at my engine. They replaced the part that the diagnostic said needed replacing and charged me close to 1000 dollars. The check engine light came on the next day, I took it back so they could fix their poor work. After being told a second time it was fixed and being assured it was safe to drive back to my home, the check engine light came on a third time in the middle of my four hour drive back to my home. I took it in to a different mechanic- the part they kept replacing was a result of a much larger issue and the Lake Zurich Firestone missed it completely. It was not safe for me to continue driving and their work was a wasted 1000 dollars as the recommended repairs were a result of a larger issue. I would not recommend this location. They all were very nice in there, just incompetent mechanics.Service: Transmission repair

I had brought my car here on Saturday due to left front axel broken. They called me that same day and quoted me $908.00 to replace the axel. I am like I just replaced my left axel from other location and it costed me $543.00. I had no choice since the car was making loud noise due to this issue. So I accepted the offer. I called them on Tuesday and they said it was coming from Tennessee. They claimed it was stuck at Fedex facility. They stated it should be here end of day Wednesday and I said okay. Today I called them and they stated its still stuck at the facility. I asked them if they tracking number and they said they didn't and they had to ask their vendor. Couple of hours later, they were said tomorrow it should arrive and I was sure at this point they weren't sure. I called up my buddy and told him to order the axel instead and have the car towed from Firestone to his location and they quoted me $590.00. In the meantime, I been driving the rental car from Saturday to now which costed me about $770.00 after extending additional two days. If this was case, I would not taken the car to Firestone. I will not recommend anyone to firestone due to rip off in price and lack of confidence in when the part will come. I would say this before bringing to firestone, shop around for best offer in replacing any part.

I came here to fix a nail in a tire. He quoted me a price which I accepted. After taking down my info and pulling my car into the bay, he came back and quoted me a higher price. I had them pull my car out, went to Costco and although they were busy, they fixed the nail for 1/3rd of what the Firestone wanted to charge. All while Firestone had no cars in their bays. It's no surprise. You should be ashamed of yourselves for your lack of professionalism and customer service. It's about principle. You were trying to rip me off.

Do not take your car here.I took my car for a brake check, inspection, and oil change. They said everything looks good but quoted brakes need work at $2100 so i said let's just do front brakes for now. Front came to $600. I accepted. They did the work and then said they misquoted and it is $900. With out a choice I had to take it. They said car was ready end of day but but when I went next day, they said it it was not ready and they need to do more checks. I don't know what happened from the day before where they kep had said my car was ready to today when they said they need to look at it still. I also did not see my car in the lot or in the deck so not sure where it even was. They later called and said, it will be another $600 because they found another issue. The person who lead this situation was Patrick. I asked to not do any further work and would rather take it to a more reputable place. I do not plan to come back. I used to love firestone but I moved from where I used to take it and the one in Lake Zurich is 100% shady. I also spent money on Uber going home and coming back only to find the car was not ready. This place is just BS.

This place took care of me very quickly since I was on my way out of town for work. Chris could tell I was in a rush so I didn't have to miss work since it's hard for everyone during this pandemic. They didn't over charge me and recommended what needed to be done at time. They changed my flat tire, made an alignment, and made some minor fixes to make sure I was driving safe. Will definitely come here again!

I booked an appointment online the day before for an oil change. When I got to the shop the guy who checked me in said oh sorry we don t honor online appointments so you either have to leave your car all day, or come back another day because we are booked up for the day. So if your telling me that you don t honor online appointments then why do you have that technology then. Long story short my cars been there about 5 hours , and I am still waiting for it to be done . It s just an oil change for goodness sake .This is definitely the last time I am using Firestone . Word of advice don t book an appointment online just call the store. Hopefully Firestone will get rite of booking online appointments.

I've been going here for 13 years, good people, good work, always honor their tire warranty stuff. I normally go here after car warranty stuff expires. Their mechanics are good. I've never been oversold anything here. If you have certain miles on the car, their system will tell you what they recommend - you choose if you want it done. They've worked on 5 personal cars and 4 company cars....I keep going back.

Really disappointed in the Firestone location. I stopped there on Sunday November 28th in distress because my tire had lost air and was at only 25 psi. They are open until 5 pm. They refused to help me stating that their hose was broke. Let me say that every bay has a hose and they were taking an order for 4 tires as I stood there as well as working on other vehicles. So of course, they had to fill those new tires with air and they had to run their tools with air. They could have easily had me back up to a stall and put an air chuck on any hose. It's really bad form to refuse 30 seconds of time to help a fellow driver in distress and then give an excuse such as "our hose is broke" while working on other cars.

On 10-1-17 on a Sunday morning when I brought my car into this location, I was amazed by the professionalism and courtesy extended to me. Robert was a Stellar Experienced Service Representative who really cared about my problem and was detailed, experienced, knowledgeable and concerned about my problem. He was my "go to" person who did it all so that when I left I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of service I received at this location. Although I did not meet the actual technician who worked on my car, I know that it was handled effectively and efficiently and my time at this location exceeded my expectations.

The staff is usually friendly. The shop is clean. My biggest complaint is how they constantly push to upsell the customers. I feel bad when I see them do that to women, making something simple seem urgent and in need of being done right now. I hate it when mechanics take advantage of people like that.

I had an appointment at 3 and they didn't even start working on my car until 4:15 so not really sure why they recommended an appointment to me on the phone earlier in the day. Then they told me they could only fix my tire if I bought a brand new one even though my tire was already pretty new. I didn't really have a choice because I could barely drive it there so I had to buy it. 100% they were taking advantage of the fact that I'm young because they only started working on my car after I stood up for myself and said something. Would highly recommend going anywhere else. If I could give negative stars I would but I'm forced to put 1.

Ive done business with firestone for years, and when i have an emergency they were to busy to fit me in. All i needed was a patch done on one tire before i left for vacation the next day. I understand that your booked, but when a repeat customer really needs you, its time to make it happen. Who else would i call last minute except for the people that ive done business with? I guess its time to start looking for another place for tires.

Went there at 5:30 to have them look at my front right tire which is brand new and they were closed. Drove all the way there. Claims he had no employees. That is bad management. If they are supposed to be open til 6p.. and advertise then they should have someone working.Service: TiresService: Tires

Not bad they fixed two tires, the worst part is waiting so long. I hope they can improved that. Their prices not very economic. I got to add this they told me that i have 3 bad and 1 good tires. well i believed them and after 3 days my vehicle turn on a light on the dashboard a tire was low air thats the one supposedly was the only good one. Now i need to fix that problem when i could've it done at that moment.

I spent $1600 on a complete brake job at this location. The car has the type of wheels that allow you to see the brake assembly. The brake components are completely rusted and look terrible. I spoke to the manager and he said, "They all do that". The car looks awful and I suspect they used cheap replacement parts. I won't be returning to Firestone. Very disappointed in parts quality and the managers total dismissal of my complaint.

I had a license plate screw head break and wanted all 4 replaced. I was told it could be quick, but could be up to an hour labor. I decided to have it done and dropped it off for that and an oil change. After 20 minutes the service writer called me and told me the screws were out and they could not find the new license plate. I explained that I didn't have new plates and just wanted the screws replace as they were rusting and staining the white paint on my wife's car. When I returned to pick up the car, I was charges $146 to replace the screws. I questioned the service writer and reminded him he called me after 20 minutes and told me they were all removed. He denied saying that and insisted they spent a long time replacing 1 broken screw and unscrewing the other 3. I asked to speak with the manager and he said I would have to call the next day. I did and the manager insisted they spent that much time on the vehicle. I reminded him that I was called 20 minutes after dropping off the car and was told they were removed. He ended giving me full credit, but informed me to never return as they will not do work for me again. As the service writer lied to my face, I would never bring it back for anything. I could never trust this business again.

Been a loyal customer for 20+ years. Have seen several management teams come and go. Currently, Emerson and Kevin run the show. At first I was skeptical , but can say, without a doubt, that they are the best team I've experienced. Both of them are knowledgeable, take the time to explain the repair needed, treat your repair as if they were working on their own car, at a very fair price. I would send my 80 year old Mom in there and feel very comfortable that she would be treat respectfully and fairly. If you are looking for a LONG TERM service center, look no further....

Slow, slow slow. Brought my car in for tire balancing. Took them almost 2 hours!! My regular tire dealer takes 1/2 hour. They told me that the store manager had to do the balancing, and he was busy. Say whaat?? Techs don't know how to run a spin balancer? And then I found out during the ride home that they balanced the tires OK, but over-tightened the wheel lugs and torqued one of the brake rotors. Now I have a shimmy whenever I brake. Will not return to this dealer, would not recommend to others.

Manager Kevin Murphy and his staff are great! They always do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible while getting your car serviced completely at a fair price. Best Firestone store in the NW suburbs!

Had quite a bad experience here. My fiance brought in his car for an alignment, and not only could they not align it, but the camber and castor nuts are off their threads! My fiance specifically told them beforehand not to even bother messing with the camber because he knows the camber is messed up on his car. So not only did they spend over an hour messing with it, but they messed it up far worse than it was originally. That's another thing, we brought it in at 3:45 for a 4pm appointment and didn't get it back until an hour after they closed.Basically our car is now worse off than it was before, and if we weren't "car people" who couldn't recognize this problem, we would probably have gone around driving the car until the ball joints broke, which wouldn't take long considering what they did.

Rob and the tech were a pleasure to deal with. I had new front tires installed and a oil change done on my 2007 Toyota Sienna LE. They stayed late to finish the job and recommended that my front and rear brakes need replacing. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone.. Thanks Rob and tech for the awesome customer service.. A++++
