Worst customer service. I went in looking for replacement bulbs for headlights and wiper blades. I explained that a well-known brand of wiper blades didn't work on my car last time, after multiple attempts and people trying. But a different employee/location recommended a certain brand which did work. However I couldn't remember the specific brand. The kid treated me like I was stupid and had no clue what I was talking about. Then when I decided to look elsewhere for the wipers, at checkout the kid looked at his coworker (manager Steven T.) and laughed at me then said "unless you know something I don't". I've been in customer service myself for 15 + years and have never treated someone like that. Employee name on the receipt shows Django G.

Wanted to return something but didn t have a receipt. The old man insisted I needed a receipt even tho I came in with my debit card I used that day.This was a faulty tire patch kit with a broken handle.

I love purchasing my auto parts in this location. They are always very friendly and help me find what I m looking for. Also they gave me a free kit just because of it doesn t sell they get rid of it. Thank you!

Clerk was rude, told me to come in when there were two people that could put my battery in. I came in when they were two people. He said he can t put it in. Went to Wakanda. They put it right in Donna to be specific Lake Z�rich flat out lied to me.. I don t like being lied to as you stare me in the face

Great location! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and have helped me numerous times over the years.Really appreciate their time and effort, especially so tonight as I had to get a portable jumper cable kit as regular cables between my car and another weren t cutting it. The Schumacher SL1611 after charging it fully had my car back up and running in under a minute.Thanks again to this store and their employees, really appreciate ya!

Horrible customer service at this location the staff working there has zero literal knowledge of products and deals in store. Will never ever step a foot in this store ever again. The guys working at the front desk do not have any ideas about the products or offers and definitely are not capable of answering any related questions. I am taking my business some place else.

Horrible customer service. The guy seemed like he had no interest in being there or helping. I had broken down in there parking lot, they had the belt but it wouldn't fit. I asked twice about the size and the only response I got was "that's the belt the computer says you need" despite it being about 1in short. I went up the road to O'Reillys and although the worker said the same thing initially, he asked what problem was I having with it. Once I explained he said I've got another identical style belt that is 1in longer even though the computer says otherwise. I got the right belt at a different store simply because this store didn't seem to care or didn't have the knowledge to help my problem.

First, they don't know what they are selling. Second, they sell Chinese junk at twice the price of the original parts. Of course, these fake parts don't work or can't be installed. When you try to return them, they say you damaged them when you tried to install them. The next day I bought original parts, which I installed without a problem. Before buying parts from Advance Auto Parts, check the prices online or at other stores. I will never buy parts from them again!!!!!!!!

Had to get replacement truck/van battery for work vehicle (Group 78, 800 CCA). Got a DieHard Gold for $209. Brought old battery in so avoided the $22 core fee.Staff was helpful. Business is on 1st floor. Handicapped parking available. No waiting line, just walked in and was served immediately.

They are a knowledgeable staff. When you need some repair tools or maintenance tools in a pinch, order online or call the store, for quick pickup. If you don't have an AAP account, get one. Small store, so quick browse.

I would definitely recommend NOT going to advance auto parts in Lake Zurich. I went there, guessing I needed a new battery. They said I did. First he put in a battery, that wasn't even charged. Then put another battery in, and said there was something else wrong with my car, to go to Firestone in Lake Zurich. I immediately went there, and they called me the following morning to tell me Advamce had sold me a battery, with a dead cell. How couldn't they know t

Top notch, from the greet, to the follow through, before I got to the counter. At the counter, James was a wealth of information, from engine to tire to repair shops and name dropping at other services. Thanks James. This is why I repeatedly go back to Advanced. Been a long time since I got that at A.Zone nor Reily's.

These guys sell mostly to retail. Have helped me with reading codes, installing batteries, loaning tools, etc. With online coupons they are competitive. They have price matched Costco on all my battery purchases. I always check them when starting a project.

I needed a check engine light scanned and the guy told me he would take care of it in a minute, but had to wait in case there were other customers.Waited HALF AN HOUR and there was literally not one other customer in the store and he just sat in front of his cash register doing jack. Finally left.Went to O Reilly Auto Parts and they took care of it immediately. I m an O Reilly customer for life.

Used this location for over 6 years for rebuilding a '72 442, '80 Suzuki GS850, '04 Saturn Vue and '13 Chevy Sonic. Very knowledgeable in all generations of all types of vehicles, extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond in explaining things every time.Even after I've moved to Ohio, I just called this location and spoke to John for general questions about a frozen evaporator. I've trusted them with many vehicle operations and will continue to do so.

I would like to start off by saying I chose to go to advance auto in Lake zurich illinois because my michanic had recently purchased parts for my vehicle at the Wauconda advance auto that no other auto part stores had so that made me continue my business with advance auto.In October 2015 I go to the store because my battery for my key was dieing and before it completely went out on me I wanted to get it replaced. Im in the store and the gentleman looks at me like no problem what size battery I wasn't sure, so as he is looking for a tiny screwdriver to open my key component up he tries many different screwdrivers to try and get it open from his many failed attempts. I tried to tell the man don't worry about it I have a little screwdriver at home he repeatedly tried and finally got it open replaced the battery and put the now stripped screw half way in the component because he couldn't get it all the way in! Smh I left unhappy because that's not how I brought my key to them. So as I leave I try to use my key remote and it wouldn't work so me knowing nothing about cars or the key just assumed it was because the screw was not in all the way.So long story short( lol) about 3 weeks later the store had replaced the screw after calling the store and getting no where I had to call corporate, I just picked up the new screw cause I did not want them to strip it again. As the holidays approached and with me working 2 jobs I did not have the time to take my key in anywhere else so I left it alone, that was until recently my locks on my car were frozen and I couldn't get in my car smh. When I was finally able to get in my car I took it to a dealership to have the put in the new screw,telling the guys what happened he told me my key should work without the screw in it, so he opened up my key component only to find out that the component that holds the battery in plasw was broken. Made me think that's probably why the associate was tring so hard to get the screw back in! So around Monday January 11th I called corporate to tell them what I had found out after going to the dealership and asking what can be done about this ? She emails the manager and he called me back saying this happen last year and how do we know our associate did it, as I tell him sir he was the only person to touch my keys besides me taking it into the dealership so then he continues to tell me there is nothing he can do about it cause they don't sell the keys there and don't have no way to fix it. So I call Corporate back after I get of the phone with the manager cause I'm not satisfied I brought my key in there for a battery and it ends up getting broke smh. Today Wednesday January 13 2016 I get a call from the dealership telling me if I want to replace my broken key it is going to cost me $228 +tax that is also to reprogram my key to the car! I called corporate right away to let them know an update on my key, the lady had told me she will email the manager again to let him know but she had told me he said before in the email that there is nothing there going to do for me, as of now i am waiting for the manager to call me back to see what is going to happen.So my advice to everyone that walks into the doors of lake zurich Advance Auto please keep a close on your personal property if in falls in the hands of a "parts specialist" and not a machanic.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. When I went there to get a bottle of paint for a touch-up for my car, I asked the older/ elderly man/employee if Pearl white would work on glacier white. He simply said, and I quote, "I can't help you with that." And simply walked away. NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK EVER AGAIN.

Good place , employees were very helpful and knowledgeable , also very personable...that is very important to me , while your there they had a good selection of discount stuff to go through , I was pleased...and I'm a mechanic by trade .

Don't stand by there product. Don't print invoices if they are lost. Take your phone number anyway. Makes no sense. Also reboxes parts and call them moog.
