I ve been using Silverstar Motorwerks for a few years now & they have serviced four of my cars. They always go above and beyond for me, helping find the best parts and even taking care of some little things with no hassle. Gene is a great mechanic and Lisa is great at keeping me updated & sending me pictures of the cars in the process! They just recently did a blower motor resistor pack repair on my 2005 Lotus Elsie (see photo) and they went over everything they did and showed me the old parts and everything.

If your classic car needs some TLC, Silverstar Motorwerks is the place to go. It's a family shop, and they treat your car like it's one of their own. Gene, a real master mechanic, knows these cars inside and out. You can tell he cares about safety as much as getting things running smoothly. And then there's Lisa her customer service is top-notch. She'll keep you in the loop with pictures and estimates before any work begins. Plus, the prices are very fair compared to other shops. I take my cars seriously. I had a Porsche Targa for 20 years.. Same one.. and now I'm in the eighth year of a 2013 BMW 135i. Great car. Needs a mechanic with big game. Tough to find in an age of distrust. Well, I found a GREAT one.. Hidden in the back of an industrial park in the far reaches of Lake Forest. Gene & Lisa were super easy to deal with, were EXTREMELY fair in their pricing and seemed to take the customer's point of view on this. In other words, since Gene was in there replacing a valve cover gasket ,he went ahead and changed the spark plugs (needed) since the labor was already involved. He seemed to love my car as much as I did, and it doesn't get any better than that. Instead of getting lost in a voicemail-heavy, overcharging dealership shop where you're just an account number-- take your prized auto to these people. You will be very glad you did, as I am..
