Been going to Ken's Volvo since 2002.He's the most honest business man & car mechanic I have ever dealt with. All of his estimates have come in spot on lower. I can't remember any bill that was higher. I highly recommend Ken & his team to anyone who loves their Volvo (don't we all love them; any year/model) & wants to keep it in top condition!

Ken is a very kind and honest mechanic. Very neat shop and does excellent work. He has in depth experience with older Volvos as well and only works on Volvos.

Bought my first Volvo (a 1992 240) a few years ago. In good shape, but of course high mileage due to it's age and needed some work. For anything other than standard, easy maintenance needs such as oil changes, brake work, tune ups, alignments, I quickly learned that I needed an experienced Volvo shop to do the work. Ken's Volvo Tech is that shop. I had suspension and worn out bushing needs. Local repair shops couldn't do it or couldn't get parts. Ken's Volvo Tech could. Had a malfunctioning overdrive (240 owners can relate). Local shops said either "nothing is wrong" OR "you need a rebuilt transmission". Ken's Volvo Tech correctly identified the problem (bad solenoid) and replaced it. I live in Hammond, IN and I willingly drive the 65 or so miles to Ken's Volvo Tech to get the correct diagnosis and repair. Fair prices, too. This place is highly recommended for Volvo owners in my opinion. I have 240,000 miles on this Volvo, and I expect 240,000 more so long as Ken's Volvo Tech is around. Highly recommended.

Took my newly used purchase Volvo XC90 to Ken's Volvo for a small oil leak, the service was excellent and the people very helpful and knowledgeable, most honest mechanic in Lake County.Definitely a keeper.

My husband, Bob Rauch, has known Ken for over 25 years. Being a "neighboring" auto business in Lake Bluff, we have heard nothing but good things about Ken. We would be happy to refer our Volvo customers to him.

Ken is one of the most honest human beings I've come across. My 240 goes there for all service, and I can't recommend his work enough. Surprisingly reasonable prices as well.

Consumer beware he uses after market parts; in my experience it was an AC, After 3 follow up visits no explanation as to why it doesn t cool. Volvos should never have after market parts installed.

I used to work in the automotive industry and nothing comes close to the 5 Star service you get at Ken's. Simply the best, great service, done right the first time, always.
