I had a fantastic buying experience at Knauz BMW. The salesman that helped us, Matt Pudlo, found and educated us on the used 3-series that we seen on their website and after appraising my trade-in vehicle, Matt was able to put together a numbers matrix so we could see some different payment options in no time.After seeing where the payments came out Matt mentioned that the new 2024 3-series' were coming out to about the same payment with a special that was running at the time. After finding the right car for us and getting my information we where in and out, and I had a new car to drive home. Peter; the finance manager that explained the contract to us, and Matt; our salesman, were very friendly, knowledgeable, and great to work with. They made the experience very calm, straight-forward and enjoyable!

We had a great experience! We worked with Sam on a Porsche 911 trade-in for an EV i4 M50 and the experience was very smooth. Sam was very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and really made us feel comfortable with all of our questions. We feel happy and excited to have an EV for the first time. The culture of Knuaz generally seems very professional and the staff were all very positive and friendly, Sam included. We look forward to working with Knauz for future purchases!

Wonderful experience with Marek Gryc and the team at Karl Knauz BMW. Just purchased a 330i. Smooth and transparent process. I was an out of state buyer and Marek provided me with walk around videos and pictures of the car before I made the long drive out. Douglas in finance and Mak the genius were super friendly and helpful as well. Couldn t be happier with the new car. Thank you guys again so much!! :)

Worked with Matt Pudlo for my M3 and I would have given him six stars if it was allowed. I am out of state and Matt ensured I had the best service from the time I ordered the car to the time of dispatching it in a truck to me. The level of communications was exceptional. He kept informed and updated on every step along the way by answering all my questions and promptly returning my texts, When my car arrived at the dealership Matt took great care of my car. I cant thank him enough for making this process easy even though it was a four month journey from ordering to delivery. Matt set the bar really high and I will be happy to work with him again. Pedro and the team were wonderful. This was the best shopping and buying experience I ve ever had. If you are looking for a BMW don t go anywhere else. The whole team is very helpful, not pushy and is willing to help. No other dealership can compare to the level of service and ability to be competitive in price as Knauz. The dealership is about an hour away from me as I live in the city but the drive is worth it. I passed three BMW dealers on my way and it was because none of them offered the price, and service I was looking for. I can t say enough good things about my experience.

I can't express enough how positive my experience was with Knauz, and specifically my sales consultant, Spencer. I purchased an X3 on Thanksgiving Eve. From the stress-free pre-sale experience to the post-sale support, it was all top-notch. The negotiation experience was respectful and streamlined despite it being Thanksgiving Eve, with most staff already out for the holiday. More importantly, I experienced a few minor issues with the vehicle post-purchase - and Spencer provided a level of service and communication I would expect from someone still trying to earn my business. Spencer and the team ensured that each item was promptly addressed. They have a loyal customer here who will be back when I need an upgrade. I highly recommend Knauz - and I definitely recommend that you ask for Spencer!

I wanted to say THANK YOU to the entire Knauz BMW team. I have worked with Bob and purchased 2 IX vehicles in 2023. The 1st one in January was my 1st EV ever so I had my concerns but Bob Geisheker made sure all my questions were answered even before I set foot in the dealership. Strongly advice to email before your visit. That way when you get there you can leave with the car in about 45 min / if this is what you want/ I would go back when the times comes for my next vehicle

Great experience buying my 22 M5 through Matt Pudlow, a true BMW enthusiast. Have bought several cars through Knauz but this was my first (definitely not my last) with Matt. Can t imagine a more knowledgeable guide to steer me through the ordering and delivery process. Nor can I imagine a more honest and efficient sales process from any other dealer. This is what car buying should be. Thanks Matt and Knauz! Now back to enjoying my new ride!

The car buying experience was fine/standard/typical. No complaints. However, the brakes on my brand new X5 have been squealing since I bought it. The service department just keeps telling me there's nothing wrong with it and that it will break in. Well 11 months later, it hasn't broken in and hasn't stopped squealing.

Detailed, organized and every step was completed very quickly. He answered every question I had via email or text promptly. Purchased a new X6M Competition from Spencer Parker and the entire process was incredible. This was my first experience buying out of state and everything from the initial communication to the final delivery was seamless.Texts and emails were answered promptly and I was treated as if I was right there in the showroom. These days, it is easy to go to a dealership, buy a car and know you've gotten a good deal. With the help of the internet, it is also easy to get car advice, find fellow enthusiasts, and gather enough information to readily show up the average used car salesman.At Karl Knauz BMW, you can do it all.After owning a used E46 Coupe for 6 years as a daily driver, she was starting to become unreliable enough to be a nuisance. I therefore set my sights on a new car, and after much deliberating, settled on owning an F31. In non-snobby "BMW Enthusiast" talk, that means 3-Series wagon. The problem was that for whatever reason, America doesn't like wagons. Despite up to a 75% take-rate in countries such as Italy and Germany, of the nearly 700,000 3-Series sold stateside, BMW only sold about 8,000 wagons in the USA between 2012 and 2019. Of the 501,147 F31s built, less than 2% made it across the pond. In my quest to find the perfect one, I found a grand total of about 7 for sale nationwide with the right specs. Living in Connecticut, and knowing they were rare, I was willing to make a drive, but didn't want to go to California for a car. While chasing one that slipped just out of my grasp in Melbourne, Florida, I tripped and fell onto a new listing by Karl Knauz BMW in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Recently listed, no pictures, just a VIN and a contact form. After confirming the spec, I sent them an email.Spencer Parker promptly responded to me the next morning, forwarding me the both the build sheet and a promise to get photos as quickly as possible. The car had just been traded in and was getting cleaned and serviced before going through CPO inspection. Spencer took the time to drive over to their service center, take pictures for me and answer all the questions I had over text. While most salespeople know their cars, Spencer had an intimate knowledge of all the features, all of the accessories and answered every single one of my questions down to the software update number on the iDrive system. Because of his knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond, I felt confident enough to put a deposit down on a car I hadn't seen yet from nearly a thousand miles away.Fast forward 2 weeks: after much conversing with Spencer about him, his cars and mine, I finally got to meet both him and the car in person. I had an amazing experience inside the dealership. They are calm, courteous and there's never any pressure to buy if your heart isn't set on it. Many dealerships offer a buyback program if you don't love your car within 24 hours, and frankly, I don't even know if they do or don't, but trust me, they don't need it. They wanted me to feel 100% sure of everything before I put the pen to paper. Afterwards, both Spencer and Alec Rodriguez made sure I was comfortable with all of the features in my new car, and Alec was kind enough to follow and give me a ride back to the dealership after I returned my rental car. As icing on the cake, Alec, a local who had grown up in the area, recommended a Portillo's Italian Beef sandwich, and I, sitting in the tailgate of my beautiful, ultra rare, 2017 Mineral Gray BMW 330i xDrive wagon, stuffed my face with the best sandwich I'd ever had in 4 minutes flat.

1st time at this particular dealership. No one was available when I entered the service lobby. I wondered around for a few minutes in search of assistance. Finally a worker approached me but kept walking. No greeting, no questions. I stopped the employee... and asked if I was in the right place for service. He replied yes. I asked him if I should check in with someone in particular. He then gave proper instructions.I'm baffled as to why anyone can walk aimlessly through the dealership. No direction, no greeting, no instruction, no stationary person available for guidance. How ever did this dealership win Customer Service Awards in previous years?Moving on to servicing. Trust me, I understand the theory of items being presented without prices. However, when you're having your car serviced, its helpful to know what range to anticipate. When presented with my itemized service form- which includes one passenger air bag recall and new windshield wiper blades, I expect to know what charges are coming. Not the case. Just a pass of the clipboard...please sign this.Welp! I'm prepared to pay for all services rendered and definitely turned off to this experience. I arrived with all green lights to browse a select a new Benz of my choosing... I'll wait to visit a dealership that at least acknowledges my presence before patronizing.

Buyer beware, appraiser offered only 40k on my trade that Kelly Blue Book valued between 54K to 61K. Another BMW dealer valued it at 57K. Needless to say I decided to work with a reputable dealer other than Knauz that didn't try to rip me off.My trade was in mint condition. The salesman and I came close on the price for the car I wanted to buy. All that was left was to get a fair appraisal on my car that KBB had a trade in range of 54K to 61K. The salesman came back from the appraiser with a 40K appraisal, which was ridiculous. Only a con man or complete moron appraiser would make a completely inaccurate appraisal like that.Now, as for the salesman, I realize he did not develop the appraisal. However, in every BMW dealership I've dealt with the Salesperson, Appraiser, New Car Sales Manager and Used Car Sales Manager and maybe even the GM would work together to develop a compromise that works for me and all of them, so a fair deal can be developed.It is obvious that, in the case of my situation, this kind of teamwork did not occur at Knaus. I guess teamwork is not part of Knauz's culture.I got the standard canned automated reply that stated they were sorry and that that they would look into it.Of course they blew me off and I haven't heard from them.Word of advice, stay away if you want a fair amount for your trade. And you don't want to get ripped off.

I recently picked up a car here and the pre-delivery service was absolutely outstanding. My advisor (Matt) and the sales manager (Doug), and the person who gave me the new car tour/Q&A (whose name I unfortunately forgot) were all stellar to work with and incredibly friendly/responsive. Coming from a Tesla Model X and that pre-delivery experience the difference was shocking. These folks do what they do very well.UPDATE: a few months later my beautiful new iX was totaled by someone running a red light. I went to Knauz today thinking I'd need to order a replacement and I drove off a couple hours later in a better-spec'ed car with a fantastic lease deal. Matt even came by on his day off to assist in getting it done. I really can't say enough great things about this dealership/team.

I am writing to express my considerable disappointment with the recent service experience at Karl Knauz BMW. I entrusted my vehicle to the service department due to a driveshaft issue, which regrettably remained unresolved after nearly a month-long repair process - an unusual duration attributable to the use of defective parts, but I remained patient with them.Upon the retrieval of my vehicle, I noted several physical damages including deep rock chips and scratches, none of which were present prior to the service engagement. This discovery, coupled with a quite excessive nearly 50 mile addition to my vehicle's odometer ostensibly from a test drive, raises serious questions about the care and professionalism exercised during the servicing of my vehicle.Most alarmingly, missing bolts and a precariously dangling rear undercarriage cover greeted me upon closer inspection. It's concerning that such a reputable brand allowed a vehicle to be returned to a customer in this state of disrepair.This incident has unfortunately shaken my trust in the establishment for these numerous and significant oversights.As it stands, I am inclined to recommend alternative service providers to prospective customers considering Karl Knauz BMW for their vehicle's needs.

This company does NOT put the client first. We had an 81 y/o client get talked into getting a lease on a $170k vehicle for 12k miles/year (she drives 2-3 places a week, less than 3k miles a year.) They also added a $250/month service package on the lease. She did not realize what she was doing until too late and when she went in 2 months later to ask for help getting out of the lease they said she could pay $40k cash (30k + 10k deposit) to exit the lease. The client has no annual compensation, only access to retirement funds, and should never have been pushed to buy a $2,800/month lease. Less expensive models were not even presented to her. They could have done the RIGHT thing and work with her but they valued money over all else. This is borderline elder abuse and will be escalated accordingly.

Matt P at Karl Knauz was awesome to work with. Straight talker, will get you what you want with no time wasted, and easy going. He was able to get me a fantastic car, ordered directly from the factory, at a fair price and without any silly back and forth negotiating. Also a true BMW enthusiast so he knows the product and stands by it. Once the car arrived he arranged to have it shipped to me by a competent carrier at a fair price. I order a car with costume builtAfter 4 weeks car arrivesWhen I came to pick it up I learn that I have to pay $17kExtra for my existing trad in car!Very nice surprise by unqualified sales man that never had tell me that when I was submitting my order.I just lost 1 month of my time waiting for my new car to arrive and by the end I went to another dealer and after a 3 weeks I got my car with out any extra $17k in fees!Karl Knauz BMWYou just list not 1 customer, you lost at least 10 of them.

Excellent staff. They really take care of you. I was in a pinch. They aggressively priced the Vehicle and I was in and out in 1.5 hours. Loved working with Sam Picchietti and Scott the finance guy. I will absolutely buy from them again.
