Stayed at this campground on our trip to Florida with a stop at Red Hills SP for the 2024 Eclipse.Campground was purchased recently by a couple who have lots of campground experience. They are putting in a ton of updates. New electrical, new patios. Nice.Bathrooms remodeled. Beautiful showers. Tile is gorgeous! Very nice laundry room.Lots of stuff for the kids. Launch pad, bounce house. Sand pile. Mini golf. Too early for the pool, but the winter cover looked top notch.Camp store is small bit well stocked with food items and a variety of maintenance parts.Overall a great stop.Highly recommended.

Folks here are so pleasant and helpful! Completely remodeling park and have been taking guest even this winter when travelers couldn't find a spot! Nice pull thru spot with shade. Good wifi too. Second time here. Can't wait to see all the improvements. Thanks again for your park!

We were warmly greeted and presented with a little gift bag on arrival. Brand new clean bathrooms. Small but clean pool. Most of the sites are shaded by mature trees. Conveniently located off of the highway. My labs and I loved the nature trail. I would describe it as a small intimate campground. We were only there for one night but are looking forward to staying here again on the way home.

Fantastic playground and bathrooms. The pool was the cleanest pool I've ever seen at a campground. We will absolutely try to use this campground for future stays through the area. Large enough sites and isles to easily pull in and out. I would say the sewer hookups are too high, they make dumping difficult and the bathrooms occasionally had a sewer smell almost like a trap isn't properly installed

WE LOVED IT HERE! My daughter and I went for a few days for a little camping getaway. We picked this place based off the reviews and it went above our expectations! So many activities for us to do, really clean facilities and showers, wonderful helpful staff, and we loved our cabin! We will definitely be back again! Top notch campground!

What a great campground! Nicest KOA I ve been at yet!! Store is stocked nicely, Dollar General 7 mins away. Park is very well maintained and staff is great! We were able to get retired Military Discount at $53 a night. Sunsets were great and the pond had a few biting bass. Would stay again and recommend highly!

Caveat: we arrived at 10:30 pm, after regular check-in was over, and left twelve hours later. This is pretty typical of us when traveling. The KOA was nicely spaced and easy to navigate. Good amount of shade without the trees being in the way. Sites were just about the right size. Didn't try and of the luxuries but they looked fine! If I have ANY complaint, the entrance could be a BUT wider, but everything was great!

We were there for just 1 night in May 2022, mainly to get the camper out and make sure everything works before we head on a bigger/longer caming trip in a couple of weeks. It's a very nice, well maintained campground. We liked that a KOA worker helped us to our campsite so we knew where we needed to go. We are actually only 10 miles from here, so we probably won't be back for an extended weekend stay, but this will definitely be our choice if we need to test anything out with our camper.

We were traveling with 4 children under the age of 5 and the kids amenities were fantastic. The had a playground, pool, mini golf, and a bounce area. Let s say the kids were in bed by 8pm!Campground was well maintained, the bathrooms were very clean with large sinks. We had issues with the electricity but the campground took care of things as soon as it was brought to their attention, the staff made every effort to make sure our stay was comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

My family spent 4 nights here after having a terrible experience in Galesburg at Lake Storey. The hosts at the KAO were exceptional and ensure their guests safety is the top priority. The bathrooms and showers are super clean, lots of stuff for the kids to do (playground, jump pad, mini golf, swimming pool and more) and a beautiful nature trail to walk and pond to fish. 10 out 10 would stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends.

This campground is an absolute GEM! It has everything you could need AND want in a campground. The entire campground was clean and extremely tidy. I loved that there were trees around as so many we have stayed at are just slabs of concrete - eww. The bathrooms at this KOA are legit nicer than ours at our house - and we have really nice bathrooms at our house. Super clean and not the type of showers where you have to hit the button every 30 seconds - you can actually have a nice long hot shower which is heavenly after hiking all day. Check in was a breeze and the dog park was a lovely addition. We looked at the pool which was super snazzy - but arrived late and left early so didn't get to use it. We live about 3 hours away and are considering coming back with our family as there is so much to do here! Look no further - you have found your new favorite campground!

Wonderful Weekend! The owner set the tone, he had a constant smile on his face. It s clear he loves what he does for his guests. His staff was terrific as well. The campground was well kept, everything from the bathrooms to the general store to the pool were clean. Good pond for fishing, and a great nature trail. We will be back!

Far and above the best campground owners we ve ever come across. The campground was spotless, the owner rode around all day checking on campers to see if they needed anything, bathrooms were SPOTLESS, pool was clean and perfectly sized for the campground, mini golf was fun and challenging, nice little hiking trail and a store with anything you need. The only issue we had was our fire ring was so close to the ground no air could get under our fire so we propped up one side with a piece of wood to get it going. We wouldn t hesitate to go back!

Rented one of the cabins for the weekend for my son's bday and he can't wait to do it again!! The facility looks amazing with all the renovations that have been done. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. The kids enjoyed the whole experience. We will definitely be back.

This KOA campground was by far the best campground we have stayed at! We were greeted when we pulled into the campground, escorted to our campsite & they made sure we were situated. All the employees were friendly & helpful! Lots to do such as nature trail for walking, swimming pool, putt putt golf, bingo, fishing & so much more. Upon leaving someone greeted us and asked how our stay was and if we had any comments or suggestions to make our stay better. We feel like they went above & beyond to make our stay a great one! Will most definitely be back! They deserve 10 + Stars ********** :}

The staff was incredible!! The mini golf course was well maintained and challenging, the pool has a toy box that you can use. Our granddaughter was the only child there. They went above and beyond to see she had a great time and enjoyed all the amenities. She got a little treat every time we went to the office to get a putter to play mini golf. There were high winds 30+mph so no campfires or grilling out it was to dangerous to risk. We accidentally left an expensive pressure regulator attached to the water connection. We discovered it when we get to our next stop (8 hours away). We called to see if was still there. They called about a half hour later to let us know that the owner had already been to the post office to mail it to our house. That kind of service is rare in this day and age. Awesome, Incredible, SpectacularWhat else is there to say.

We stayed at Galesburg East Campground for Memorial Day weekend 2021. Very nice well maintained campground. Spots are close together but that was more of an issue for our neighbors as we had a very active and loud 2 year old. Pool was great for the kids. On Saturday they did a free ice cream sundae social which was a nice treat. Mini golf was $2 per golfer. Campground was quiet and there are some nice easy walking trails around the site. Bathrooms were cleaned on a regular basis. We used our Good Sam discount and the cost was under $120 for the weekend. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful place to spend the night while we were traveling. Clean sites and restrooms/ showers. Nice trail to take a walk and stretch your legs. Frisbee golf course and play ground. Decent size pool. Small dog park to let your pup run around in.

We have used this campground for 35 years and have seen 5 different owners over the years. A great place for kids. Pool, play area, fishing pond, nature trail. Clean bathrooms. But this year the tent policy is unbelievable. They made out daughter set her tent in the gravel. I have never seen this in all the years we have camped. They also charge the same for a tent as an RV. $68 for a tent?? It was nearly impossible to drive the tent stakes in so that they wouldn t move. It just bent the spikes. The owners did give us some thicker, sturdier stakes, which we appreciated, but it was still difficult and then we couldn t get them out of the ground. Worst of all, we ended up with a hole in the tent and our air mattress from a sharp rock. Not recommended for tent camping.

I BOOKED THIS KOA FOR ONE NIGHT THAT WE WERE TRAVELING THROUGH. IT IS A SMALL CAMPGROUND, BUT IS SO VERY NICE, CLEAN, NEAT AND HAS LOTS OF GRASS. THE STAFF WAS VERY, VERY NICE AND SO ORGANIZED AND PREPARED FOR US TO ARRIVE. THEY ALSO GAVE US A THANK YOU GIFT WHICH I THOUGH WAS A VERY SPECIAL TOUCH. I GIVE THIS CAMPGROUND A 5 STAR! THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING OUR STAY SO PERFECT!
