Still had an hour of I-57 driving to get home when I had a car problem. Went to Ritter's Auto Repair just off a Google search, but I was very glad I did. I couldn't drive my car home, so they were able to provide me with a loaner. They did a great job of explaining my problem, and then fixing it when they got the parts.

Top place to get my car repaired. They did a quick check on my engine light and gave a detailed run down of what was wrong. I wish this repair place was in my home town

We broke down in the middle of a long trip. The folks at Ritter s went above and beyond in helping us. They arranged a car rental, and provided us with transportation to the rental shop. I live 250 miles away and I still may use them for my car repair needs.

I was visiting my family in Illinois from Boston and my AC died, I was looking at a 17 hour drive in 90 degree heat with 4 people in the car. I needed the AC fixed in 2 days to make it back home for work. Ritter's Auto was able to get my car in and get the repair made, really saved me a lot of pain. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. My husband and I were traveling north on 57, stopped for gas, pulled out and felt something snap on the brake pedal, no brakes! Luckily, our camper had brakes. Called Ritter's and we were assured they would take care of us. They found a pin that had come out and replaced it immediately. Back on the road in an hour. So friendly, reassuring, competent and professional. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Thank you Gary and Greg! You were our angels today.Service: Brakes

We had an exceptional experience with this auto repair shop.Our cars transmission kept on overheating on our road trip. We called multiple places, including the manufacturers dealership, but no one was willing to take a look at our car on such short notice.We called Ritter s Auto Repair and the agreed to take a look at our car once they learned of our circumstances, although the were busy as well.We are so grateful for the job well done and for getting us back on the road!Service: Transmission

We had an awesome experience with Ritter's. We were traveling from Wisconsin to Nashville when our car broke down on the highway. We had no idea where to go and were working with the insurance company over the phone trying to get a tow truck. They said we were going to get towed to Ritter's, but would have to wait along the highway for more than an hour before the tow truck could be there. We called Ritter's right away to see if we could even get in and if they'd be able to fix the car that day. Greg, the owner, went out of his way to help us out. He called a tow truck driver that could come get us right away. He drove out himself in a different vehicle to pick us up along with all of our luggage AND he called a car rental place in town and reserved a car for us to take so we could be on our way to Nashville. He dropped us off at the car rental place and we were on our way. Awesome customer service and such thoughtful people. They knew we were just passing through and would not be repeat customers, yet they went out of their way and were so caring. They treated us as if they knew us and we had been long time friends. If we lived closer, we'd go there for all of our car needs!

So happy with the service I received from Ritter's! I recently had to have my van repaired, and had to have it towed to the shop. With all the work it needed, Greg made sure to give us specifics on the problem and had it taken care of promptly. We have found our vehicle doctor, and will continue to use all the services they offer. Great job Ritter's!

THANK YOU Greg at Ritter's Auto!! He is truly one of a kind. Stranded on the highway 6 hours from home and 4 hours to our destination and our car completely shut down. We stalled out on the side of the interstate and all the "major" auto repair shops nearby offered nothing. Called Ritter's Auto Repair and immediately knew I was in good hands. Told me that he would do everything he could to get us back on the road even if he had to stay late. After we were towed in, he had the problem diagnosed, part delivered and two hours later we were on our way. Just wished we lived closer because I would love to have him as my go to for all my auto needs.Service: Engine repair

Driving from Wisconsin to Louisiana our van started acting up. Sputtering on the highway. Raining, sun barely about to come up, we pulled off the freeway to find help. Checked Google reviews and found Ritter Auto Repair with nothing but 5stars. We were able to limp the vehicle down to the shop at 8am. Greg (the owner) was able to get to get us back on the road by 10. He even ran for the parts himself to make sure we could get back on the road as soon as possible.Such great friendly service. Couldn't ask for better.Perfect car repair experience.If I lived in the area This is where I would take my vehicle every time.So if you are in need of repair and aren't sure where to go, call Ritter. Saved our trip.

Traveling from Chicago to Texas and had a blowout on I-57. Thankfully I found this place!Never dealt with any shop with this kind of customer service. They were very warm and welcoming! The owner himself took the best care of me. If it wasn't for Ritter's I'd probably still be driving my spare all the way down to Texas. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Traveling from Michigan to Texas we experienced a set back after refueling car would not stay on running. I goggled car repair shops near me I had one dealer shop near me called they said someone would come to help us with in that waiting period I called Ritter's and Audrey was very helpful when she answered our call. In 15 minutes our car was on the tow truck that Ritter's Auto Repair had coordinated. My car was unhooked worked on right away. Thank you Ritter's Auto Repair shop for having us back on the road with in an hour that air max control sensor was giving us lots of trouble since we started our road trip. Very Honest Dependable Thank You Velma Montoya & Family!

Friendly and helpful doesn't do it justice ... to say this small place is out there is irrelevant !!! I was stuck, in a 30 foot RV towing a trailer on 8 of 10 cylinders and NOBODY could help me for days/weeks but these guys did !!!! I owe them something I can't repay - my faith in good people !!!!I rarely write a review but it's the very least I could do, if I could give them more than 5 stars, I'd give them the MAX. If you have vehicle issues, get it to these guys !!! Well worth the trip. THANKS again guys !!!

Our van overheated leaving us stranded. We were lucky to find Ritter's (via google maps) who were caring and professional. Gave me a ride and even offered the use of a vehicle while our van was being repaired. Great job and thank you!

Having had my fair share of bad car experiences I feel I m pretty qualified to speak to how good an auto shop is. Ritter s is by far the best one I have been to. All the others have tried to fix things that didn t need fixed or sell me something that doesn t need to be sold. Ritter s told me exactly what was wrong (with a handy chart with pictures), quoted me the price, and got the work done and it was done right the first time! Highly recommend

This place saved us. We were traveling home to southern WI when we had a wheel bearing go out. After "limping" the car to Ritter Auto we were helped immediately. They located the problem, found a replacement part (that was 12 miles away), and started the work within 15 minutes. But here's the part I really appreciated. They found a bit more wrong with the front axle/wheel than just the bearing, but knew we were from out of town and just needed to get home. They performed only what was needed to travel safely. They also showed/explained everything I should tell my mechanical for future repairs and maintenance. Within 2 hours we were back on the road. As a bonus, the secretary drove my family (wife and 2 small children) to the local diner so we could get a bite to eat and wait for the repairs. This place went above and beyond for someone they know will never be a repeat customer (we live 6 hours away), I can only imagine the service they give to the local community. Thank you to everyone at Ritter Auto Repair.

Excellent service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I highly recommend Ritter Auto Repair to anyone that needs their vehicle serviced or fixed. They give very detailed reports and go above and beyond to explain it to you in detail. A huge thanks goes out to Ritter s for all they do in our communities.

Great place, trustworthy, friendly an does estimates before doing anything unless you say ok. Make an appointment, they will come pick your car up, an deliver it after work is done. They have exspanded to...very nice upgrade, more bays
