Cost is great, if you compare it to the value of the repair. I never needed to make a return visit for any transmission they repaired for me. Paul and Fred are honest technicians. Their workmanship is excellent. I took my Ford Taurus to them and drove the car another 8 yrs, then passed it on to daughter. Their rebuild lasted past the life of car itself!

I highly suggest this place. Fred and Paul are honest and I felt cared for. They truely care for their customers and their diagnostic fee was very reasonable.I bought an used car with a bad transmission. They spend close to two hours inspecting/driving the car. The engine light was not on. They pinpointed the problem and explained the issue in a simple manner. The car was making a humming noise at the pinion bearing. They also went into details about the approx. cost to repair the problem and the cons of it.I was within the implied warranty (Illinois Law to protect consumers when buying a car from a dealer.) So, I wanted to return the car and get my money back. And I did.I am very thankful to have come here, as they shared as much information as they could so I was well informed. I am sure if I had gone to another place. I would have not had the same experience and I could have easily been in a much different situation. I will recommend them to family and friends.

Paul and Fred are two of the most honest and hard working guys I know. I have had 3 of my cars transmissions serviced by them. Every time I was treated courteously and fairly. They always were looking out for my best interests. Thank you Joliet Transmission. I couldn't have driven all those miles without you!

I have dealt with Joliet Transmission on many different occasions. I have been more than happy and very satisfied with each of my experiences. I will always have any work my vehicles need done here. Fair, honest, and reliable.

Spoke to Fred to get a quote on a rebuilt transmission for a Nissan Altima. Unfortunately in my case my Altima is not worth rebuilding and he was completely honest and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and his expertise is appreciated. To all future clients I would definitely recommend bringing your car here.

I have been taking my cars to Fred and Paul for about 23 years now. They always give superb service. They have rebuilt a Ford AOD transmission in my Lincoln Town car in 2001, it now has 150,000 miles on this transmission and is still running good. The transmission from the factory broke down after 100,000 miles. They have replaced water pumps on my cars. They have rebuilt a rear differential for me. Actually they have done more work for me on my cars and trucks than I can mention. Everyone that I have referred to them have raved about them too. Without them I would have needed to buy a new car about every 3 years.

My family and I have been going to Fred and Paul at joliet transmission for the past few years and they have always gone above and beyond not only fixing my vehicle but explaining the problem in a way that I can understand. Their prices have always been very fair and they won't try to sell you services you don't need. If you're in the area and need transmission work done I cannot recommend this place enough

Good guys doing honest work. They totally could have taken me to the cleaners but they didn't. My repairs were less involved than I expected and the cost was very fair. I highly recommend this business.

Paul was helpful courteous on the phone when , seeking an estimate about transmission fluid leak. My car arrived just before closing time, but he got to it the next morning.

If you want your transmission fixed correctly go to Joliet Transmission on Cass street in Joliet Illinois , great job.
