TOP NOTCH service all the way!! My wife Kerri and I couldn't be happier with the service and Mark was incredible in every way getting us our Nissan Rogue! Let me just say I've been looking for a car for a few weeks and went to a a lot of dealers and Gerald was the best no hassle dealership. Herb was who took care of us and he is who made the experience so much better than other places. No rushing, trying to upsell, and he was extremely informative and a pleasure to be around. Herb not only helped us find the car but also helped us with our financing. Herb was able to get us lowest APR out of every where I looked including my banks. I couldn't be happier with my experience. And if something goes wrong with the car. Herb was able to get us a 5 year warranty on anything that breaks for just a few extra dollars a month on our monthly payment. I would recommend Gerald Auto and Herb for anyone who is looking for a car!Thanks again for the amazing service and helping to make the car buying process easier.Updated with a better quality photo. It's rare to have such a straightforward and easy experience with buying a vehicle but the guys at Gerald made it exactly that. Herb was great and allowed us to drive and inspect the vehicle to our hearts content and since he was working with more than one customer at a time Raul helped us out with our paperwork and the plate transfer. They even stayed after they closed to help finish things up since we drove from 2 hours away and couldn't get there til 3:30. Without hesitation I would recommend buying from the guys at Gerald!

Bought a Ford Escape here recently. Herb Brooks did a thorough job in explaining the advantages and disadvantages of both cars I test drove. I was impressed that he didn t try to steer me into buying the higher priced option. There were no hidden fees or surprises, which I ve seen at other dealerships. The purchase process itself was efficient and everything was ready in less than 90 minutes. Recommended.

These guys were the most pleasant of all the dealerships that I had delt with. They were not pushy, or sending me dozens of messages a day like other places. We weren t trying to spend a whole lot of money, and they tried to accommodate us as much as possible. I can honestly say I became very irritated in the last few weeks searching. We realized that we couldn t find anything in our range anywhere. They were so patient with me, when it was my son buying the car. I am truly thankful! We ll be back!

My Husband and I visited Gerald s on yesterday. The moment we parked, we were immediately Greeted by Ray! He was very professional, friendly and kind. He wanted to help assist my husband in finding a car that he wanted. My husband was able to find a car that was suitable for what he was looking for. Throughout the process Ray was friendly, tentative, explained everything to us. Raul also assisted in the finalization of paperwork and he was also very friendly, professional, and kind. I bought a GMC SUV from Gerald Auto Sales (02/2024). The Cargurus advertised price was lower than market value, which made me skeptical at first. I have never shopped at a smaller auto sales business. I was extremely impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of my salesman, Herb Brooks. Since Gerald does not do a full comprehensive inspection of the vehicle, I asked if I could take it to my mechanic for a Pre-Purchase inspection. (Something everyone should do, no matter where they purchase a car.) I understand it is a used vehicle, but I wanted to make sure there was nothing major wrong. Herb did not hesitate to let me take it for several hours. He even put a SOLD sign in it until I picked it up for Pre-Purchase Inspection. We hadn't even discussed the price. Very easy going, no pressure and no ridiculous add ons. (i.e. Vin Etching, Nitrogen in tires, LoJack, Paint protection etc.).The SUV was in fantastic shape. A few things needed attention, and I discussed them with Herb Books. He was respectful, and worked with his manager on a price adjustment. The purchase process was straight forward, no pressure, no games, and a fair price. Herb Brooks is an awesome salesman whose many years of experience is evident. Gerald Auto Sales is a fair and quality small auto sales business. I will definitely check back with them on my next vehicle purchase!

Recently purchased a 2016 Chrysler 200 from them and I will say Herb did an awesome job. However 2 days into purchasing the 200 the check engine light came on. Took the vehicle back but the light switched off so they really couldn't tell what was wrong. So couple weeks passed then the tire pressure sensor came on, then the AWD sensor came on. Dashboard is looking like a Christmas tree right now. I get it the dealership doesn't have loaners available like that but I'm a teacher with children of my own I cant afford to leave my car at the dealership. I hate to think a lemon was sold but that thought is definitely around in my head. Hopefully we can get something going in the right direction ASAP

the stigma of car dealerships is not lost on me, I've been through the ringer with car salesmen and have a lot of friends in the industry. I popped in to Geralds with no intention of purchasing a car, just exploring my options at any dealers where I was at after little to no luck with buying from a private seller. my first visit here, I will say, the salesman who assisted me and allowed me to test drive the car never so much as introduced himself. But, I liked the car and it was a good ish fit. On my way out, the owner caught me outside and introduced himself, offered to let me just drive it back to my boyfriends to get his expert opinion and told me he's running a small, reputable business with nothing to hide. That stayed with me. I hit a few more places, but that Subaru and encounter stood out. I reached out via their website with a few questions and Raul was quick to answer my questions and lend a hand. I returned the following day to take it for another drive with my partner in tow. We voiced a few concerns and he was quick to assist. I can't speak for the lenders they use, as I was able to move my funds around and show up with cash to complete the sale, but it was all handled promptly and professionally by Raul. I am very happy with my purchase thus far, he followed up and immediately sent me the carfax that I requested to check recent tire rotations and oil change records. I absolutely recommend Geralds, thus far a way different experience than any other car buying I've ever experienced.

I bought a 2017 ford fusion from this dealership and I took it to a ford dealership and it had a recall, Bad spark plugs, low oil and transmission oil. 1 week later the car started jerking. I allowed them to run my credit twice and if it didn t work out I was going to be on to the next. They ran my credit without my permission more than 10x. Wouldn t recommend.

Went to Gerald Auto sales in Joliet to purchase a car and Working with Raul was great experience. He helped me out with making sure i was happy with my purchase of the vehicle and helped out to make sure I felt comfortable with any issues being a used car. I would highly recommend dealing with them if your in the market to purchase a used vehicle!

I had the pleasure of working with Herb to buy a car. He made the process so smooth and easy. I was out of there in less than an hour with keys in my hand. He was very down to earth and a great sales person to work with. He ended up getting me into a vehicle that was way better than what I was expecting to leave with. Had a very positive experience with Raymond helping me test drive 3 different SUVs and helped with the process. He allowed me to test drive the car by myself and also take it to a mechanic for pre-purchase inspection which goes to show the transparency and professionalism this place has. Do not buy from places that do NOT allow you to check the car first. Thanks again Ray and good luck with everything.

I want to thank Herb for an excellent experience buying a vehicle. My 23 year old car finally decided it was done and I found myself looking for a new vehicle. I tried several dealerships and wasn t happy till I met Herb. I m disabled and on a fixed income. I don t believe in credit cards and I paid my other car off years ago so that wasn t on my credit report so needless to I don t have the best credit. Herb wouldn t give up though and he finally found a vehicle I could afford and finance! It had a minor issue that Herb and Gerald Auto Sales already knew about and had the parts ordered. It was fixed within a day and they gave me a loaner to use during that time. I am so happy with my new vehicle and I can t thank Herb enough!! I will definitely buy from Gerald Auto Sales again.
