Horrible place my husband went here to fix his work truck literally stole more than 2k from him. Kept it for like a week and didn t even do anything until my husband was like all I see is its parked down the road all the days they had it. 2 months guarantee only literally took it somewhere else & we did not spend that much & they fixed everything that wasn t done here! Mechanic that they have there doesn t know anything about his truck but apparently was acting like he did. Don t take your cars I m telling you seems like they know how to steal from people read other stories!

I have had my vehicle serviced multiple times at the shop. Way Beyond Mufflers suspension, radiator, all kinds of other things tune up oil change. They've always done a fantastic job and the price was very good so check them out managers Nacho and Loretta are awesome! Says joliet joe

Service was fast and very friendly. With the professional knowlage and help I will most definitely be returning and I highly recommend you all do the same they are not only far with there price they will provide great options to get you back on the road. Thank you guys for your help and great service.Update 10/27/2023..... Again service extraordinary they got the job done at a great time and is always turned out great. Simple exhaust repair didn t cost a arm and a leg like Velasquez muffler I was able to wait there while my vehicle was getting repaired

I took my car in because the heat was not blowing hot. Talked to the mechanic he told me I have a coolant leak. Okay understandable being that the heat just stopped working. Left deposit for the part because he guaranteed that the job takes no more than a few hours. Brought the car in the next morning on a Friday at 9am didn't get my car back until Monday evening. They bounced the car between two shops. I talked to so many different people and even had to go up to the place to get an update on the vehicle. No one bothered to communicate with me my husband and I had to constantly call to get any follow up on the car. They then tell us the car is overheating! What? I have never had this issue at all. It was a nightmare I missed work and on top of the I still don't have full functioning heat in my car. The leak is hopefully fixed. The heat works only on the drivers side and the receptionist told me now there's another issue now. I'm in complete and utter disgust with this place and as a business they should be ashamed.

Excellent Service! Staff members were extremely helpful and service minded. They do have a little area to conduct business-fire up your laptop and do your thing. I highly recommend Central Mufflers & Auto of Joliet.

Bad customer service. They did not have mycar ready as they said, are a dishonest business. They told me original the cost of the repair would be $600 then they charged me $1,645. And the car was very dirty when I picked it up. The seats and the driver's side door were very stained.

BEWARE! this place is a SCAM! My husband went in to have the muffler repaired and This shop CUT OFF! the catalytic converter off my car! They claim it fell off on its own while servicing my muffler, and NEVER mentioned anything about it when I got my car back. Husband went back to complain why they took my catalytic converter and offered me a after market one. Rip off. Give false things wrong. As if they were to fix correctly anyway. Would not recommend unless you don't mind bullcrap work. If you need tires aligned. They use rope. Suggest watching your car get fixed. Scam

Very dishonest and shoddy work! I brought my '02 F150 in because my air conditioning wasn't working. I explained to them that I had recharged it two years prior and it worked great for about a week and then blew warm air again. This is not my Dailey driver so I procrastinated for two years getting it looked at. The lady that runs the office called me back about an hour later and said that they wanted to recharge it and check for leaks with dye and that this would be $50- I authorized them to go ahead and do so. Then she proceeded to tell me that I had a bad break line and that it really needed to be fixed, that it was serious. I asked her how much and she said she would have to call me back with a quote. The next afternoon I still hadn't heard from them so I called to talk to her about it. This is when she informed me that the work had already been done and that I owned them $140-(plus $50 for the Freon) I told her that I never authorized the work because I had never received a quote and that I had two adult sons that were both mechanics. One works on Fed Ex trailers (brakes) and the other works for the railroad...you guessed it...doing brakes! I was willing to get a quote and if it was reasonable have them do the work since it was already there. If not, one of my two sons could have done it instead but I never got the chance because they just did it. I had my oldest son stop in to see exactly what my $140 was getting me. They replaced about 6' of brake line in the back. They literally just cut the line mid truck and spliced a piece in. My son also informed me that the line was not ran along the same route as the original, that it was basically just strapped to the frame (missing OEM bends etc). After bringing this to the shop owner s attention and the fact that the work was never authorized to begin with she reluctantly reduced my bill to $65. I also asked them if I could see the old brake line. Of course it magically disappeared so I have no way of confirming I even needed this work done. She told me the truck was un drivable but I drove the truck there just fine and have no brake fluid in the street where I park it. On to the AC- I asked the owner what happens if I drive my truck around for a few days and lose my cold air. She said bring it back and we will recharge it again for free but "If there s a leak we will have to charge you to fix it" - I said well you just told me that there was no leak. She basically just shrugged her shoulders and said drive it and see. I grabbed my keys and started up my truck, guess what...I had NO AC at all. It was blowing out hot like a blow dryer. Not even a LITTLE cool. We had it full blast AC for a good solid five minutes...nothing. I went back inside and demanded my money back as nothing had been fixed. This is when SHE accused me of being a lousy customer and just wanting something for free. Really?!?! You "fix" my brake line without my consent and even then it's "jimmy rigged", can't produce the "Bad" brake line even though this place is a dump with spare parts and garbage laying all over the place AND I have NO AC whatsoever. How am I trying to get something for free?! Another owner (I presume) came in the office and started demanding that I leave. I would not recommend this company whatsoever. At first she told me that there was a "communication error" between her and their employee and that's why the line got replaced by mistake but then later she told me "I just assumed you wanted it replaced since it was so dangerous so we just went ahead and did it." All I can say is buyer beware if you use this shop. Not trustworthy at all and downright illegal business practices at worst! PS- I took my truck down the street to another shop and they had the AC blowing out ice cold in 20 minutes.

Worse place you can take your car took it for a tune up and i guess i pad for nothing cause they forgot to do the oul change and who know if they even did the tune up my car has been give me worse problems since my oil change was not done and was running it like that please i recommend donot waste your time and money in this shop same as velazquezServices: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Always have good experience with the work done.They do more than just mufflers.Have had front end work done.Replaced motor for power windows.Just replaced front and back brakes.Reasonable prices and work done in timely fashion

Went for a muffler delete on my volkswagen GLI completely happy I called all the other local shops to get it done the same day all of them told me tomorrow or next week but not central they took me in a little before 5 n I was out by 6 not only did they take care of me last minute but they beat the price of all the other shops thank you central!

Went their for a simple oil change and they don't car about cars they hit my door made a dent and lots of scratches also didn't even put the right amount of oil smh

My bf brought his suv here for the muffler to be fixed and we had to take it back 4 times and waited hoursss each time I don t recommend this place for anything most shity customer service

This place is a RIP OFF!!!!! I should have read the reviews before going! Paid $360 for a Ac Condenser. The NEXT MONTH my air stop working. Go back to the shop now they re saying I need a Ac Compresser $300!!!!!

They didnt care for me when I went there,i was for about 30 minutes and I have to find someone about my visit and still I have to go and come back and bug them before I was taking care off after 2 hours later
