One of if not the best Mechanic in the area. They are very transparent about the prices upfront, and they are extremely reasonable. The most affordable mechanic I ve ever been to.

Called 5min before they closed, they were able to fit me in the very next day. The owner (forgot his name) and his crew were very respectful and got the job done quick! Will definitely be back with my other vehicles for other maintenance needed.

They are the most honest bunch of guys I trust with my Jeep and every car I owned. They treat you with respect. They get you right in. And no hidden cost what they quote you is what it is. Very honest mechanic, my car had a minor issue and they repaired it for free.I will be definitely be returning to for maintenance issues and oil changes. I will also be recommending all family and friends to use AD. It is hard to find places with integrity such as AD, especially in the automobile repair industry.

Hard to find the words to express my gratitude for these guys. I was driving through on a road trip to IA from NJ when my car broke down in Joliet. It was turning over. My AAA driver (shoutout to Jeff) suggested Mark and Chris at AD. The guys checked out my car, fixed it, answered a few questions and in less than an hour they had me back on the road. No charge. Absolutely baffled. I wish my car didn't have the problem at all but I'm eternally grateful for these guys and meeting them. Made me restore some hope that's there's good people out there. Mark, Chris & co. thank you for helping me out the way you did. I made it safely there and back and am eternally grateful for your help and kindness!I recommend these guys if you live near Joliet and need car work or are just passing through and need help. They'll take care of you.

I have been going to Auto Doc since I moved to Joliet in 2008. They have always been honest, no BS, care about the people kind of business. Their success is solely based on word of mouth. They show you the problem and offer you options. 99% of the time they delivery before the time they give you. Love this place. The don't overcharge and really take care of you. Went in for a noise rattling in my car and a recharge for my air conditioner. Turns out the conditioner needed to be replaced. The fixed the rattling free of charge and quoted me to come back for the air conditioner. Fixed it the next day and didn't break my bank. Won't go anywhere else but here.Service: Air conditioning

If you are looking for an honest mechanic, look no further. I have gone here for the last five years and have never been disappointed. Chris is honest and has the best prices in town. At least five of my different family members now go to Auto Doc as well. I can't imagine how much money we have saved over the last five years using Auto Doc. Thanks for the honest and great service!

Love this place. These guys are so honest and good at what they do. They will save you money too by fixing your car as inexpensively as possible and it's done right the first time. I was in the waiting room one day and overheard one of the owners talking to an older woman who came to get something fixed on her car and have the oil changed. They told her, that her oil did not need to be changed yet and that her car was new so it should be under warranty and she should check on that first. They could have totally charged her money for all of it and they were honest with her which made me love this place even more!

I ve been a loyal customer since the first time about 15 yrs ago. I have sent many of my friends, family & coworkers to them. They to have all been happy with the quality of work. If you are looking for an honest place that also does the job right, Auto Doc is the best place in town. Chris had my last car running for 18 yrs. I only got rid of it cause the body was shot. But got a great price because the engine ran like a champ. Chris knows my husband and I by name and greets us by name every time we come in. I wish I could give them 10 s. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely amazing service! On a road tip I had a backed up AC drain leaking into my passenger side, we called them and they told me to come in whenever thy could fix it. When we got there the owner got us in immediately as personably fixed the issue. It was a minor issue, the charge was only the cost of labour and he did it for free. I would 100% recommend, he was the best, honest, nicest mechanic I have ever met. Especially great as someone coming from out of town

The best place to take your car for service or repair. I took my wife car there first a Lincoln MKZ and Chris said there nothing wrong with it and we looked at it together and notice there were bolts loose from a brake job that was done earlier an couple months ago and Chris tighten the bolts up and said that was the problem from the noise we were hearing. So the same day I brought my charger later in that day for repair and the techs fix it and it runs and drives great, My charger needed rock arms and bearings replaced and some other work did .The owner and technicians are very knowledgeable, considerate, and respectful, And "cost efficient". This place is great! And my auto repair shop!

Mark at AD Auto In Joliet, IL is very honest and helpful. I had a problem with a tire and he gave me the best deal he could. I highly recommend this shop for all of your automotive needs. Also the technicians are very well trained and I feel comfortable with these guys. Thanks AD Auto!!

Amazing - they thoroughly go through what you need and WHY you need certain services, and are very respectful of your time.Update 01/09/18 - I don't care much for where i bring my car for basic maintenance, but whenever i have major issues, Auto Doc goes above and beyond and then some. My 2013 Civic Hybrid stopped accelerating on the highway. I had it towed to a Honda Dealership whom troubleshooted it over night and told me that i needed to have the whole transmission replaced. I then brought it to AutoDoc who informed me that it was infact the flywheel. Once they received the part they had me up and running the next day at a very reasonable price. Mark & Tony are honest hard working people.

My son brought his PT Cruiser here and got outstanding service. Not only was the repair less than quoted, he was told which repairs he could hold off on for a bit for budget purposes. I have a VW that I have talked to him about, but now I need to know repair vs. replace. The dealership quoted $1900 for ONE of the problems. I called these guys, mentioned that I had a dealership quote, and the guy started laughing immediately. It made me smile, he completely understood where I was coming from. I am taking it in for evaluation next week, because they are so busy this week. I know I can trust whatever he tells me, and that's a good feeling!

This place is a blessing. The most honest mechanics I have ever come across. Me and my entire family take our cars here and only here. They give you good prices and explain what needs to be done and why. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I am new to town and needed a shop I could trust. These reviews were reliable and help me find what I consider the best repair shop in town. The staff were friendly, honest and provided a great service at a reasonable price. Don't think I'll take my vehicle anywhere else.

If you live in the area and you're not bringing your car here when work needs to be done, you're making a mistake.I was leery of both the positive and negative reviews, but my whole family brings their vehicles here. How could I argue against word of mouth?My car was squeeking, and not being very knowledgeable about vehicles, I wasn't certain I know what was up. I was honest with Chris at the shop and he said he'd look into it and give me a call back with an update and a quote. He could have swindled me like many of us fear when it comes to mechanics, but he was honest. He actually talked me out of work and gave me a heads up on what I should keep an eye on going forward.I'm very pleased with the service and the honesty, and I'll certainly be back when the time comes for additional work.

Came in today at 10:00 am 2 people were ahead of me. Cool no problem I ll wait. I m only getting my brakes check. Two hours later nobody here but me literally no cars in the garages. I m still waiting I had to say something for them to look at my car! He says it s done my car hasn t moved at all I m watching it from the windows. See Chris isn t here if he were then I wouldn t have this problem he checks on his customers. But because of this he lost one why not see why a person is still waiting in the waiting area. Ridiculous I m only here because I have a warranty.

Went in and got my truck's alternator replaced in no time! AND the price was great also! Great customer service, Chris is a cool guy! Def going back for my Car needs.

I brought my car in so I can get the knock sensor and oxygen sensor replaced (those were the codes it was showing) so I can pass emissions. They replaced the knock sensor and insisted on a smoke test to make sure they was no leaks in my system. That came up negative. They said I should be able to pass. I get 20 miles away and my check engine light goes back on. When I have the money to bring it back they go in and replace the oxygen sensor. Yay! All seems well and I'm happy.Here's where it all goes wrong:I get not even two blocks away before I cannot ignore the rubbing/grinding sound that my car made as it moved. I bring it back and the owner/manager insists that they drove my car after and nothing was wrong with it. He agrees to drive it again to check it out. When he comes back he says they will take a look at it. He finds that when they put my car on their machine, it broke the strut. He then told me that even though it broke from their machine, they wont replace it because they were replacing the O2 sensor, and not anything having to do with the strut therefore its not their fault.I am, to be quite honest, upset. At least he could have offered a discount on replacing it.

I took my car her a few months back for an unknown whoosing noise and vibrations in the steering wheel. They told me I needed all four new tires, after I just replaced all four tires. Took it to Pep Boys, turns out to be my wheel bearing. For the sake of it being closer I took my car here again when a spring popping noise was coming from the front tire when I turned my steering wheel, gave me an estimated price of 700 to fix the tire rods, sway bar links and get an alignment. I get the tire rods fixed and the noise is still there.. He tells me I need to fix the sway bar links before the noise will stop. I get it aligned and it isn't aligned when I leave. I call him he says I need all four new tires again, and that its best to do that before the sway bar links. I take it to Pep Boys again because my now brand new tires have exposed wires everywhere within two months. They tell me its my lower arm controls, and because they're failing its impossible to align my vehicle. And they also tell me theres nothing wrong with my sway bar links or my wheel bearing(which was my guess considering the recent replacement.). Spent 400 with them, spent well over 2,000 on tires since the problem began, now I have to pay 700 to fix the real problem. Waste of money and waste of time!!

We took our Toyota 4-Runner into Thomas Toyota for a new starter. They quoted us a price and we told them to go ahead. 3 hours later they called and said it was going to be $200 more than they quoted. Their explanation was their computers were wrong. How is that my fault? I was furious. I looked on the Internet and saw great reviews for Auto Doc. I drove there and asked how much for a starter. The price they gave me was $300 less than Thomas Toyotas. We dropped off our vehicle at 5:00 in the evening and at 8:30 the following morning, they called to say it was done. Unreal! They charged me exactly what they said it would be. I will reccommend them and so happy I finally found an honest, resonable, and great place to take my vehicles to. Thank you Auto Doc!
