This most recent repair need was my second experience with Finch s Automotive and the service was top notch from speedy pickup of my vehicle by the tow truck to the time it was taken into the shop and work completed to being picked up at my home by one of the workers. All of the ladies in the office have always been courteous and extremely helpful. I wouldn t take my vehicle anywhere else.

If you're not using Tom Finch you're being foolish. Such a great establishment from the front office to the trenches in the back. I have never walked in to anything other than a smile. I know for certain whatever needs done is exactly what needs to be done and that they're not going to search out 100 other issues to get an extra dollar. You get what you pay for these days and I'm always confident that I'm paying for trusting and knowledgeable service being done on my vehicle. It's a family feel and I wouldn't want anyone else other than family working on my car. Thank you Tom Finch. For everything.

Worst people I ve ever met. I would give 0 stars on their customer service. They damaged a trailer and took zero responsibility for even though we watched them do it. I filed a police report and will be taking action against them. The local law enforcement even advised us that they have been there multiple times for incidents like this. They were disgusting, vulgar humans.This is not a fake spam review. I have a police report to prove it!

Extremely professional business. I had such a great experience with the office staff. We were unfamiliar with any mechanics in Jacksonville and called the right one. Not only did they work on the car but also towed the car for us. I would not mind driving 1.5 hours to get my car worked on here again! Thank you.

My car had multiple problems so I took it to Tom finches and they were so friendly and professional. I was called with updates and cost so I knew what I was going to pay when I picked it up. My car runs like it s brand new now. I m very pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

5/5 best mechanic I've used in Jacksonville. Not sure if it's THE cheapest oil change in town, but the service is great. They have the additional advantage of being trained to notice things jiffy lube wont, like broken tie rods, which can cause fatal accidents at highway speeds

I had three major services done by Tom Finch within a 5 month period and they were awesome each time! Two were expected and one was unexpected but Alyssa, in the office was awesome with the scheduling and communication. I have been very pleased with the level of care they have provided and am confident I can continue to use them in the future.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Auto interior vacuuming, Oil change

I used to love this place, I actually insisted on going there to have my timing chain replaced. The gave me an estimate between 4 and 5 grand. On 2 different occasions I asked them why not just put a new engine in it for that much. They specifically told me that my MOTOR RAN GREAT it was just my timing chain and I was risking having the same problem with a different engine.I get the car back, they tell me it running perfect, it drove little different and had a small knock that I didn't remember it having, but I had been waiting months try to gather up the money to fix it. They said it was fine so I trusted them. Barely even 4 weeks later my car dies. I have it towed back to them, wait for them to call me, finally call them. They tell me within 4 weeks I burnt up ALL my oil, and blew my engine. 4 WEEKS! There were no oil lights, no sensors, we had check my oil before it went in there and it was a little low but not dangerous low. They looked everywhere and there were no leaks anywhere. It wasn't burning oil out the back. That is was just my old engine, that it was no good, THE SAME ENGINE THEY SAID RAN GREAT WEEKS PRIOR! And I could pay them 7 more grand for a new one.When I say I lost my mind when they told me this, I didn't scream, or curse, I hit my knees and bawled.I asked to talk to a mechanic or Tom trying to desperately understand why an engine that never ever had oil problems before and was just told RAN GREAT, that I knew had oil in it, could fail because of no oil. I was told NO, that Alyssa the receptionist had all my cars info, there was nothing more I needed to know, my engine was blown and that was that. My boyfriend continued the conversation because at this point was was a mess.We were told that someone would call us later and I could ask the questions then. By the next afternoon no phone call, I called again. Again Alyssa tells me I don't need to talk to anyone that she already talked to tom, he would tell me the same thing, passive aggressively tells me to have a nice day and HANGS UP ON ME!After a $240 tow bill from Toms, I've had it looked at by another mechanic who agrees that oil was not the problem. I firmly believe it was not put back together properly. I'm a single mother of 3.I have hardly any friends or family up here for rides, my car is my life line. Without it haven't been able to work, I can't go to simple things like the store or doctors appointments. I trusted these people with that life line, I was treated with absolutely no care or understanding, not even the decency of a phone call. They were given 5 grand to fix my car and now I have none, I feel utterly manipulated and and taken advantage of. Do not trust these people.

If you are looking for a cheap mechanic shop, you've come to the wrong place. If you're looking for a high-quality shop that does the job right, you've come to the right place. All jobs, including oil changes, are followed by a complementary car wash. Best place in town for mechanical work in my opinion.

If i can give them zero stars i do it! Almost 300 dollars for just a quote. Increible they stole my money more expensive than petboys don't go here. Don't support this bussiness also very rude.

I took my 2000 Lexus RX300 in for repair. The diagnostic test confirmed our suspicion of a bad alternator. I knew I needed an oil change and an alignment so I had those done also. The work was done quickly, the price was reasonable and the service was outstanding. Mechanics and receptionist were very nice and accommodating. Final invoice was nearly $100 lower than initial quote, which made me very happy. Work was well done and quickly done.. taking only 2 operating days (after waiting for my parts to come in) to fix.Truck runs great, even better than when I initially bought it. I was given a free loaner car, which was clean and maintained well, with good mileage.Safe to say, my car won't be going anywhere else in the future. Very professional, courteous and quick. Their shop manager even picked up my car and left me a loaner at work. My vehicle was returned wiped of dust, vacuumed and tidy. No stains from the mechanics boots.. no mess at all.

My brand new truck got scratched in a parking lot somewhere and I took it to Tom Finch Automotive for repair. They were outstanding. The truck looks perfect and the cost was very reasonable, I didn t even have to turn it into my insurance. They also gave me a loner car at no extra charge. I highly recommend this place. The staff is very professional, friendly, and they do fantastic work.

We take our vehicles here for almost everything. Techs are good, prices are fair, and customer service is fantastic. They don't recommend unnecessary work, they put paper floor mats in your car, and even wash it. Great local business!

The part I needed had to be manufactured from a used part. The cost was excellent and the service was professional.Additionally, the car was cleaned inside and out.I called them before I even left the parking lot for clean and now quiet car!!Great customer service should never be overlooked.Service: Exhaust

I was very happy with the service I received. They called me and cleared every part of the repairs, gave a solid estimate, and fixed my car the same day. They also washed my car, vacuumed it out, and wiped down the dash. Tom Finch is my new go-to for reliable repairs.

Been doing business with Finch for many years. Never had a problem with my service or repair work. They promptly find the problem and fix it. If the repair is going to be costly they discuss it with you first. I may not enjoy spending money on vehicle repairs but at least I know it's getting fixed right. Glad to have a dependable place that can do the work.

Excellent customer service! They had my vehicle done within a couple days, gave me a free loaner while it was being fixed, and when I got it back, it was even detailed! So clean, inside and out! It even smelled like a new car!! I HIGHLY recommend them!!

I love Tom Finch's. They are truly an asset to Jacksonville. They have been honest with me and help me to prioritize work that needs done. They pick up and can drop off as well!

I have always taken my car here. They treat me with respect and understand my frustration. They tell me when my car needs repair and show me why and offer payment plans if the repair is too costly. The rewards program is awesome I usually get a free oil change twice a year and several savings on car repair as well. Also let me add that I live 45 min away and it's worth the drive. I was even provided an over the weekend rental when I had lengthy repair so that I wouldn't miss the first day at a new job!!

Always had a good experience until this most recent. Our van which has over 200,000 miles on it broke down I requested that Finch tow it to their facility and check it out. I got the call and was told that something had let go in the engine and it needed a new engine. Not totally surprising with those kinds of miles. I was out of town so I had asked my brother to take his legally licensed truck and car trailer to pick up the van since I decided that I did not think the old van was worth replacing the motor. I paid the invoice in full to Finch but was told that I could not have my van unless it was picked up by a licensed towing company. ie, Finch or someone else. I asked if this was law and was told it was "policy" I interpreted that to mean that they knew it would cost me more to have someone else come to their place and haul it so I would most likely hire them. A $96 "policy" plus on their side of the ledger. I can afford to pay for their policy but what if I couldn't? they would just continue the carjacking I assume. This isn't that big of a deal but this policy should have been disclosed prior to them holding my car for "ransom". Disclosure of "policy and guidelines that are going to cost the customer nearly $100 extra would have been appreciated and gone a long way to keep me from wasting my time writing a review. Other than that I think they do a nice job.

Got a flat tire on interstate 72 passing through Jacksonville, Il called and was taken care of by the knowledgeable staff. They came out towed by vehicle into the shop, repaired my tire, and had me back on the road within an hour! I was very pleased with everyone from the front office, the tow truck driver, and the mechanic that patched my tire! Would recommend to everyone in the area!!! Brought my new Jeep there after being hit by a deer. The deer dented a door, scratched paint and a window, and cracked the hardtop. Tom Finch helped with the insurance claim and took care of everything. They were delayed due to backorder on the new hardtop, but let me know when the new one was in so I could get my Jeep to them. They had it done a day earlier than expected and even detailed the interior and cleaned the exterior up. Everything was better than what it was when I took it to them. I m very pleased with them on their work. I will be a return customer.

Traveling from Topeka, Kansas to Chicago. 5 miles outside of Jacksonville, IL, experienced engine overheating. Indicator light came on coaxed the vehicle to Jacksonville exit. Located Tom Finch instead of a dealer (who would not be trustworthy) on the Internet. Glad I did. He worked on my business partner's car radiator, found the problem, did what he needed to do properly. Charged only for the repairs necessary. Got me in first thing in the morning. Could have taken advantage of out-of-towner, but didn't. Instead of a $700+ charge, ended up with a $201.00 charge for only the necessary repairs. On the road by 1:30 pm. Great job. Would recommend highly!

This place is great. Went there for an oil change and they even handwashed the car. They do have a sitting area outside, in case you need to wait for them to get your car done. The place is very clean, organized and the front desk staff are very courteous and professional.As far as pricing, it's not the cheapest, but you can definitely trust them with your car needs.

Had multiple issues with my son s car that needed to be addressed. We tried taking it to some places in Springfield that were not able to diagnose the problem. Finch s was very helpful and pinpointed everything that was wrong. Jacob and Deana explained it all in detail and had it fixed and ready to be picked up in a short amount of time. Even though it was not a cheap fix, I totally trust them and know the car is safe to drive again.
