My wife and I stayed here recently and I really wasn't impressed. We checked in late at night but the receptionist was more than accommodating, but the room was a different story all together. When we received the room we were told that it was a "No Smoking Room" and there was a $150 cleaning fee if we were found smoking in our room. I'm not sure what that money goes towards because as soon as we opened the room door, the smell of cigarette smoke hit us. We also rented the room with a jacuzzi tub, only to find out that two of the jets weren't working. To top the night off when we turned the heat on to go to sleep, it reeked. We looked to see if we could locate the source of the smell and low and behold, there was mold on the curtains that were sitting directly in front of the unit. The remote to the TV also didn't work for the TV's power or volume and only worked on the cable box.Over all, rather disappointed with the room we got but I'm giving it a three star rating purely due to how professional and welcoming the staff were.

The rooms were very nice & clean. There is just enough soap, shampoo & conditioner for one person. I didn't go swimming, even though they had a pool. And the air conditioner works! I do recommend this place.Rooms: Rooms were nice & clean.

My room was sublimely clean! The carpet looked new, I couldn't find any problems anywhere, the bathroom is spotless. I'm kind of taken a-back by this room's cleanliness. Kudos to the housekeeping crew! I love it! This is a rabbit trail but does anyone else get endorphins from smelling the smell of chlorine from the pool when you walk into a hotel lobby? Katie was so accommodating therefore: great job to her too! Give her a raise! Thanks!!

Check in was okay the lady was nice and tried to be helpful. Which was appreciated . The first issue was a request I had made after making my reservation. Which was to have rooms adjoining with my sister who is handicap. At that time there was the rooms adjoining were available yet they couldn't do that after calling twice. Yet no problem it is what it is. To the breakfast room with only a few minutes to spare before closing and people still in there eating. My daughter goes to get something for my 2 yr old grandson for breakfast. She was told it was closed she told the woman she was there to just get something for her son the woman replied " that's not my problem you should have been here sooner." Really can't feel a child? Ridiculous I called the front desk and the assistant manager apologized he did bring my grandson Muffins and yogurt. Which was helpful yet the situation should not even have arose. The room was nice stains on the bed cover could be helped with baking soda in the laundry as well as the smell of the towels which isn't good. The room was clean though. The carpet I'm not a fan of carpet it holds odors and too may germs. It feels sticky and just nasty. We could not walk in our bare feet on it. To the housekeepers cussing and raising their voices complaining about the dogs. No guest wants to hear that. To the smell of weed everytime we walked out the door of our room in a non-smoking hotel. One of our rooms air conditioning doesn't work well in June that's unacceptable. All in all not a horrible stay . Felt safe lighting could be better by side entrance. Just could be have been better . Learning some customer service skills for housekeepers and who ever it was that closed the breakfast room . Sometimes it's just not the job for you if you can't watch your mouth, attitude,& behavior. I don't expect a reply from the manager which everytime you ask for the manager they are never there and it seems only replies to good reviews and this one isn't totally bad but it definitely isn't good.Rooms: Okay needs work on stains on bed cover and smell of towelsSafety: Lighting buy side entrance not very good. Other then that feels safeFood & drinks: Allow people to get into the breakfast room even if only 2 minutes before closing to get something for a child to eat

Hotel room was pretty awesome now the man that was working he was on edge he seemed like he needed a few nights of sleep I unplugged the waffle maker not thinking you know that was a bad thing he lost his mind was not very content with that but my biggest problem was I went there to get the hot tub which there is no hot tub there hasn't been a hot tub in a very long time he says that should be posted that is a large problem for me I want refunded or compensated

We we re traveling late at night and needed a last minute room and we re happy to find they had several rooms available for walk-ins (Holiday In. Express next door was sold out). Check in was quick and easy and the rate was good, including a senior discount. However, the room smelled like stale cigarettes or something, maybe a musty rug. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, mainly over the shower. Also, although the sheets were clean, there was a stain on the fitted sheet so it should be discarded. I had to wipe everything down with Lysol wipes just to be comfortable enuto spend the night. Because we arrived at midnight, we knew housekeeping wasn t available so we got out first thing in the morning.

Clean, quiet, spacious room with a neat little kitchen counter with sink, plenty of counter space, coffee service, a good mini-fridge, and microwave. Nice roomy counter in the bathroom, too. Desk and office chair, an armchair, and a super comfy bed made my stay very pleasant. I was especially happy to find a luggage cart at the entrance - a big help with moving my stuff! The value here is excellent for the quite affordable price.

Bed was comfortable great pillows, but other than that I don't think it was worth the $110 for one night. We were just passing through and you can tell it's an interstate hotel but it was somewhere to lay my head. Hotel needs a major update but the breakfast was decent. My remote didn't work and the ac was not cold at all I didn't even use a blanket as it was warm enough in the room. There was a used bandaid and a q-tip behind the TV stand so that grossed me out. The pool however was a nice way to relax .

I am a travel nurse and have traveled for the last 10 years. I have stayed at other surrounding locations prior to my stay at Quality. I must say .. Katie and all the staff made me feel at home, and special. My room was always cleaned and they were always trying to make me feel comfortable. The customer service was real and honest and not fake. At this Quality inn there number one priority is customer satisfaction and comfort. I actually felt like I was home. The employees here went above and beyond my expectations . I have became a Choice member because of this. I have stayed at many hotels I must say Quality Inn in Jacksonville Illinois was my home away from home. Thank you so much for making me feel special. I give them 10 Stars!!!!

Positive: Staff were polite, some were friendly, giving us advice on places to eat around town and things to do. Room was nice, king size beds, four pillows on each, very comfortable pillow top mattresses, micro, fridge, counter top area, sink, cabinets, desk chairs, luggage rack, and large mirrors. Desk clerk and employees very helpful, replenishing towels, trash and ice bags, and toiletry items as we would bring them down or request items needed. The pool was absolutely wonderful. It is heated and has stairs on the shallow end we could walk in without using the lift chair. Had a choice of regular chairs or loungers and two round tables we could sit at around the pool. Also had some items for children to play with and a floating infant chair.Price was nice. Comfortable bed and a pool is what I look for most in a hotel. Probably book again in August for a long weekend.Negative: The whirlpool has been removed.Booked early about 6 weeks out for a FIVE night stay. Arrived on a Sunday at 2:30. Desk clerk stated there would be a wait, that weekend they had been swamped with two weddings and a baseball tournament. Also, two employees did not show up for work today. Okay. Said it would be a little while before room was ready. About 4:00 pm I am still waiting. Two men come in at 4:40 and their rooms are ready? My sister arrived at 5. We waited and got our room about 6:30 pm. I would not have minded except the hotel only had a few people registered for tonight per the manager. Why did they not first clean rooms for the few they had registered this night. Toilet is way low (I am handicap and hard to get up and down). Third night there, water dripped into our tub area from the upstairs room. Manager did offer to move us, but we had been there three days already and were leaving in two nights. We are old, it was evening, and were tired; did not want to pack up and move and then again in two days. Said we were okay if they did not put someone above us. First morning, at breakfast, I had a banana. No decaf coffee available. High carb foods served, biscuits and gravy, apples, yogurt, waffles, toast, bagel, only two cold cereal choices. Same fare every morning. Not too much complain about. Chose to eat out. Checked the next three days, I was looking for another banana, none. By Friday morning, the food in the cooler (only one container of yogurt) and the bakery container were VERY low, only a couple of apples.

Easily accessible from the highway and pretty close to all the local attractions Jacksonville has such as restaurants and shopping. plenty of parking and fitness room has the basics but good enough to do the job for the weekend. I wish there would ve been eggs for breakfast it s just the basic waffles and biscuits and gravy for the main selection. The rooms definitely need updated the carpet in our room at cigarette burns but for the money and price wasn t too bad. The rooms are pretty spacious and the state was very quiet so overall not bad at all!

Front desk personnel were very gracious. Room was spacious and clean. Subway a few steps away and Taco John was a very short walk and the portion sizes were very good. Would absolutely return. (SO glad we opted out of HI next door. Quality Inn was a much better value.)

This Quality Inn in South Jacksonville is far from quality. Have to say this was the most run-down hotel I've stayed in. Good luck going in any door but the front since the other doors have broken off handles. 90-degree rooms when you walk in and the hallways are hotter. The cleanliness of the room was absolutely gross. The elevator makes a loud bang noise when stopping. The bedding was not changed or old because it was stained, the floor had trash, and the room smell was..omg.Spend the extra money and go to the Holiday Inn Express across the street!!!

Quiet and clean-ish for a good price. The toilet wouldn't stop running, the door lock looks to have been forced open at some point and the door had a large gap that let light in at night and if you tilted your head correctly could be seen through. One of my towels had a hair wrapped in it and another was stained. The coffee maker was stocked with nothing but decaf.Other than that, it was cool.

This was a great place to stay, we booked 3 rooms and they put us all together, the staff was friendly and very helpful with everything. The rooms were clean and beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was good too. We were here due to a death in the family and they made us feel at home...... We will stay here the next time we come to visit!

Good quality hotel at a very reasonable rate. You never have to worry about climbing into dirty bedding here or something that is used and has not been washed. This place is clean, staff is friendly (including management) they allow dogs,, beds and pillows are super comfortable. They did have to remove the public hot tub in the pool room. However, there are several rooms that have them and at a reasonable price.

Instead of saying pet friendly. Say you only allow dogs. Traveling is rough. Word it right!Edit: When we called asking for a room with a cat. We were turned away even though you guys say you allow cats. The person working Said you guys don't. So no. Your aren't pet friendly. Only dog friendly according to your worker.

Amazing place to stay. The staff was very nice and professional. The reviews made me worried, but it isn't as bad as people portray it out to be. The pool was fixed of all problems that other reviews talked about and was as clean as it could be. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I didn't seem to have any problems during my stay, and if I had questions or needed help with anything, the staff was quick to help. Will definitely be back and recommend to others!

We stayed a few weeks ago for 4 days while some work was being done on our home. Overall, was better than I expected. I would give 5 stars for housekeeping. Each day when we returned in the evening, the room had been completely cleaned. They even placed all of my granddaughter's dolls and toys on her bed nicely on the pillow which I thought was cute. The hotel is vert clean throughout. IT is also quiet. We were not disturbed once, and we were on the lower floor, closer to the laundry room area. The only cons are...pool is very cold. The Jacuzzi was pretty gross looking. There was a lot of dirt, film, and foam-it really needs cleaned. The breakfast was the exact same each day, The fruit looked old and MANY of the yogurts were a month past the expiration date.

Great value. Good breakfast. I like that they had a central stairwell without doors to get in your way. The room had all the standard stuff plus an extra kitchenette sink. The carpet was not entirely clean around the room's entrance. It looked like the room hasn't been used in a while and something had flaked off the wall or ceiling. Must have been inadequate scraping on the last paint job. Overall the building was in good shape though. The room was a bit humid, but I attribute that to the cool rainy weather. Despite not being perfect, it was an excellent stay and price. The staff was friendly and I'll be back if we're looking for a place to stay the night again.

Very clean. After complaining about the door key not working and getting 6 replacement keys, the manager called maintenance on a Sunday to get it replaced. After that everything worked great!Their hospitality room is really nice, but extremely cold. Bring a sweater! The a/c in the room didn't seem to be working the first night. But worked during the day. On the second day/night it worked great!Breakfast was adequate to good for the price! Very clean!

By far the best hospitality ever. Me and my wife traveling home got stuck in a ice storm and pulled into the hotel the front desk host Mat was very kind and the other staff as well. Do to the weather and power going out it was still a great experience. We will definitely be staying here next time we are out this way. Loved it I recommend if you are in Jacksonville IL stop by you will love it to.
