I travel over 150 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly; however, my request for a handicapped was ignored. My room, a first floor king, was clean, with a comfortable bed/ pillows, but the fixtures were older, and the desk was rickety, the desk chair had seen better days also. Room access is via an interior door. WiFi speed was fast, 93.25 megs down, 24.0 up via Ookla. All of the normal amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator and single serve coffee maker. The hotel has a luggage cart. My digital AC/heater worked well. The television had only a nice selection of channels but a good picture. The lobby was clean. The soda/snack machines seemed sparse, and only take cash. There is a guest laundry at the end of the first floor hallway, $2 to wash, $2 to dry, the laundry detergent machine was out of order. The fitness center appeared to be unavailable and no business center that I saw. I didn't see any crawly critters, but did see evidence of them. They are remodeling, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and stay again at some point to see if it improves.

Booked this hotel for a college track team due to its close proximity to the track meet. Will not be staying here again! We called ahead and the manager was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We thought everything was good to go, but upon arrival Friday at 7:40pm everything went south. We were told we'd have to pay for each room separately, demo was going on (*which was never mentioned on the front-end*), and when we went to breakfast there was nothing, but cereal.....21 athletes and all you have is cereal... Especially, when the manager even took the time to ask how many would be in attendance to ensure there was "enough" breakfast. Come on! Pros: Price, location, and plenty of parking available. Cons: Condition of hotel, poor breakfast, and creepy male occupants. **DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A SINGLE FEMALE*** TOO MANY STRANGE MEN WANDERING THE HOTEL. Our female athletes were told not to leave their rooms unaccompanied.

0 STARS - Do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone especially single females. A male worker went into my husband s room last night at 1030 pm to clean the room. He did not announce himself but just entered. My husband jumped out of bed in defense mood cause he had no clue who was entering his room in the middle of the night. Wyndham do better at who you allow to use your brand.

Please do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel unless you really have to. I do not recommend staying here. I was on my way home from new Paris. Ohio to Missouri. But had to stop here at this hotel from driving on icy roads They claimed to have breakfast but when I went to have breakfast this morning. It was nothing but scrambled eggs and cereal. Also I used the shower this morning to take a shower and when I went to try to turn the water off. And wouldn't turn off the knob was stuck. It was very hard to try to turn. So I called for help. And the gentleman from the front desk couldn't get it to move. So I had to leave the shower water on. So I informed them so I didn't get charged for it. Also, if you pull into this hotel and you see absolutely no cars. But one or two do Yourself a favor and go across the street to one of the other hotels.Rooms: The room was OK. It was not the best. But I needed a place to rest my eyes. And get off the icy roads.

My wife and I had reservations to stay at this hotel over the weekend for our 34th anniversary. Had a room with the Jacuzzi tub. First impressions is we were the only one there. The tile coming up in elevator with spilled soda on it. Walked down the hall and 4 rooms had drywall missing in hallway and were marked to be demoed. We thought we would just give it a try. The water was lukewarm at best. Told to wait 5 minutes. Did that no change. Then said we were checking out and not staying. We had been there 30 minutes tops. We are in the middle of disputing the charges for the first day. We stayed in hotel across the street for 2 days. THEY HAD NO ONE STAYING THERE the entire weekend. Spent hours talking to Wyndham and put in complaint. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

ROACHES GALORE!!!!!!My stay at Baymont in Jacksonville was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by a musty smell that hinted at the lack of cleanliness lurking within. Despite my initial reservations, I proceeded to check in, hoping for the best. However, as soon as I entered my room, any hope I had vanished. The sight that greeted me was appalling. Cockroaches scurried across the floor, walls, and even the bed. It was as if the room was their own personal playground. The filth and neglect were unmistakable, making it clear that cleanliness was not a priority for the staff. To make matters worse, during the night, I discovered that my beloved dog had gone missing. Frantic, I searched every corner of the room, only to find a small opening in the wall where the cockroaches seemed to have made their nest. It was then that I realized they had taken my pet.The following hours were filled with panic and desperation as I pleaded with the hotel staff for help. However, their response was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling utterly abandoned in my time of need.In addition to the unsanitary conditions and the loss of my furry companion, the amenities promised by the hotel were severely lacking. The Wi-Fi was virtually nonexistent, the bedding was stained and worn, and the overall atmosphere was one of neglect and decay. In conclusion, my experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. From the infestation of cockroaches to the heartbreaking loss of my dog, every aspect of my stay was a disappointment. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment unless you have a fondness for filth and a desire to risk the safety of your beloved pets!!!!

Positives:-location-outside and the lobby were clean and pretty-no issues with room keys or door locks-no bedbugs or signs of bedbugs in our roomNegatives:-computers were down when we went to check in-carpets were incredibly stained-multiple rooms were marked for demo next to ours-overhead light in the room didn't work-furniture was extremely dirty-beds had weird fitted sheets without Elastic, which popped off with any movement in the bed, exposing incredibly stained mattresses constantly. We all woke up wrapped in the fitted sheets-wall paper was peeling off the walls-only one bar of soap which had to be shared between the shower and sink-the provided shampoo and conditioner were only about half full, which made me concerned that they were reused from guest to guest-hot water didn't work without having to request it from management. I had to run the water for 30+ minutes after that to even get it close to warm. This made my room incredibly humid even with the shower fan running-touching any of the shower fixtures wobbled all of them in the wall, which was sketchy. The knob felt like it was going to fall off.-breakfast was advertised but both days the door was locked with no explanation. When asked, management said they were not offering it and did not offer any outside food like some of these reviews have mentioned-we were the only ones there the first night which was concerning-under the beds were DISGUSTING (think under a couch in a home that has lots of kids) and there was trash under one of the beds.-curtains had holes in them-wifi was spotty at bestI've stayed in hotels half this price that weren't nearly this gross.

Horrible hotel! Do not stay here. I pulled up to a completely empty parking lot. Wondered if they were even open. Door was open so went inside. No one at reception desk. Called around. Walked around. Even tried calling them on the phone, and there was no answer. Just kept ringing. Place was falling apart. I waited for 30 minutes trying to find someone. Called hotel co I booked thru to tell them no one here and I wanted a new hotel. They tried calling this hotel and got someone who told them they were upstairs and would be right down. Was given a room. The only person working there in the entire hotel. The floor where room was on had walls missing and wrapped in plastic. When I got to my room very leery, the room was freezing. The heater did not work. The drapes were all gnarly and crinkled together. The handle on one of the drawers was all sticky.I turned around and left. Found another much better hotel and called them to let them know I checked out and did not feel safe there. Im requesting a refund.

I stayed here for a couple weeks for work. One evening I returned from work only to be told that I would have to leave the hotel because they were notified that the hotel would be getting a total remodel in a week. I went and found another room, moved all my stuff only to find out weeks later that they never had a remodel done. They are liars, so do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

Floors were dirty and gritty in our room. Random things missing or not working, like coffee for the small pot in the room. All the vending machines were broken, ice machine was broken on the 2nd floor. There was only one bar of soap so that you had to share it between the sink and the shower. There was no inner shower curtain, only a cloth one, so the water soaked it and got the whole floor drenched. The threshold between the room and the bathroom had a nail or staple sticking up that my husband cut his foot on. There was no breakfast except for a box of Dunkin donuts when we'd been expressly told there would be hot food. There wasn't even coffee in the breakfast room. Our key didn't work on our second night so we had to go ask to be let back in when we got back at like 1am. Half of the rooms are in the process of being demoed because they had a pipe burst or something. I know that's not something they can control, but the smell of mildew from the damaged rooms goes through this whole place and just makes it all feel so scuzzy.Stay at any of the places across the street.

Arrived at the hotel and there was absolutely no one in the parking lot which should have given us an idea to turn around and run. However we gave the place the benefit of the doubt and went to go check in. The rooms were not nice. They had stains on the sheets, black hairs everywhere and the toilet ran all the time. The pictures on the website are not the same as what you get this place is an old dump. THE WORST part about this hotel was when we got back the room next to us was being incredibly loud all night long. We let it go for a while, but it continued all night well into the morning until at 2am we had enough. We called down to the hotel lobby 3 times and asked then front desk manager to call them and be quiet since it is late and we could not sleep at all. The first time I called I even requested a room change and the guy said that they were booked up for the weekend. Which was funny because there was literally 4 cars in the parking lot so how can a big hotel be all booked. Anyways, nothing happened as the noise continued well into 2:30am and that s when we decided we were going to check out and drive home. Enough was enough we had no sleep and the noise was not stopping. By noise I mean screaming, slamming doors, loud talking and laughing it was very frustrating. When we got down ti the desk the manager came out with bloodshot eyes and claimed that he called the room 3 times which we knew was not true because the room he was calling was not the room that was being loud. So we demanded a refund and left the hotel at 2:30am to drive 3 hours and 30 minutes home on no sleep. Terrible management as well. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL AND DO NOT BOOK HERE. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from that are close.

First and foremost I'd like to say the lady that helped us at the desk was totally professional and a very nice person and very helpful my girlfriend and i are in town because her daughter is graduating from college we booked a room in advance we got to the room the Sheets Were stained with some kind of big red circle then mustard stain on top of it the lady at the service desk swapped us rooms even upgraded our room for no charge to one of their suites when we got in there and the couch and the chair just completely riddled with white stains and dark stains and as we inspected that bed we pulled back the sheets and it seemed to be gum and food still stuck in Between the Sheets horrible Place stay away. on top of that so hard to get a refund. We was in the room for 15mins wow like I said stay away!Rooms: Totally disgusting stay away

It was terrible all the way around. When we got there, the receptionist was extremely rude. She treated us like we didn't know what we were doing. She also gave us a completely different room than we reserved. She told us they didn't have king beds at the hotel so we had to have a double queen. We were bringing our items inside, and saw through the open windows that there were in fact, king rooms. We only paid for the one bed room, we didn't want to pay for a double bed room. She also wasn't going to give back my ID after scanning it, claiming she usually forgets to give them back.. There was water damage everywhere, broken panels and exposed wires. There was plastic everywhere and on the stairs. In our room, the sheets were dirty and the beds weren't made. The fridge had moldy food in it so we couldn't use it. The room felt so dirty and unwelcoming. We woke up to an invoice that was slid under the door and it had my information on it but somebody else's credit card information. Very unprofessional and we definitely won't be back there. No breakfast because of water damage, so in the lobby, there was one box of donuts for all the patrons in the hotel with a pot of cold coffee. The back door also claimed to be locked 24 hours and it never locked, it didn't even latch. Anybody could've walked in there, extremely unsafe.

The toilet was dirty and had toilet paper in the stool. The bottom sheet wouldn't stay on the bed, one of the pillow cases was on the pillow inside out. There was absolutely no hot water and the shower was stuck in the "shower" mode, you couldn't even turn on the tub water because as soon as you turned the water on you were getting wet from the shower. There was also only 1 shampoo and 3 cream rinses... instead of the normal 2 shampoo's and 2 cream rinses. The front desk worker was very pleasant. I'm guessing that our room was probably the (last) room to have gotten cleaned and the housekeeper was in a hurry and didn't make sure everything was working right and taking care of properly. I wasn't given a receipt when we checked in, the next morning I had a receipt slid under our door...but with someone else's credit card number (last four digits)... that was not our card. Our bank got charged for our room... just our receipt had somebody else's credit card info on it. We were to tired and just dealt with the way things were. Otherwise I would have said something before we left the motel this morning.

We stayed there for a wedding one night and it was close to the venue and other hotels were booked . Check in time was 3 pm for a 5 I clock wedding . We arrived at 5 minutes to 3 after working that morning and driving 4.5 hours from out of state. We were the only car in the parking lot and we were told they were behind on cleaning and had no rooms ready for us for at least another hour, which was unacceptable because we had to get ready for the wedding and it was already our check in time . Magically a room was found . There was dried mud at least I was hoping it was mud all over the carpet hard as a rock to step on barefoot . My boyfriend stepped on a nail sticking straight up through the carpet that I took pictures of . The white towels had big yellow stains . I would never stay there again and it s not safe for Pets or kids . Sure they have breakfast but after seeing the rooms I couldn t imagine what the kitchen area looked like. Absolutely never again .

We had a reservation booked ahead for Illinois College family weekend. My wife had an ankle injury and couldn't do steps. We quickly learned their elevator was out of service, however the staff did get a room for us on the main floor (which we did appreciate) and we were informed the hot tub jets didn't work but we could still use the tub. Upon entering the room we noticed the hot tub handles were missing and the drain didn't work. Also noted; towels were torn and heat/AC unit didn't work right. Continental breakfast offered minimal options and coffee that didn't get refilled without asking staff. Also, the exterior door was marked "locked 24 hrs" but was not locked and anyone could access the building. Overall for what we paid we were not impressed and won't stay again.

Routine maintenance is not in the vocabulary at this place. Light bulbs burned out, coffee pot does not work, carpet unraveling. Breakfast sucks too. Dried egg mess in a plastic bag was the only thing "warm". Box of doughnuts, sharable jug of milk if you wanted cereal. Chairs on tables at 7 a.m., whoever is running this place does not care.

This hotel was disgustingly dirty. One of the people in the group we were traveling with found a bedbug in their room. We all checked out of our rooms and requested refunds and were denied by hotel management. Not only did hotel management not care about the situation they were incredibly rude and dismissive and indicated they would absolutely not refund our money. We did not stay in the room. Each of us were only in our rooms for less than 30 minutes before the bug was found. In addition to the bedbug found the rooms were all disgusting. The room smelled like urine, had stains all over the furniture, showers did not work and the bedding was dirty.

We were very disappointed in our stay. It was quite and the sheets and bath seemed clean but the floor was filthy. There was layers of dirt under the beds and a half of bottle of milk that had spilled. Another portion of the floor smelled of beer. The girl that checked us in was nice but we never saw anyone else. They say free breakfast but nothing was put out. The bathroom fan was all rust and the ceiling was moldy. There was also mold on the bed skirt.

Stayed here many times 2015-2018 and it was great and very clean. Was in town for an event last night and was surprised at how run down the Baymont has become. It wasn't very clean, sheets had stains, no water pressure with warm water and shower leaked. It was nice that they provided breakfast. The staff was also friendly.

We arrived and the hotel looked fine from the outside. The 1st floor hallway looked vacuumed and stained. The pictures didn't match the hotel's reality. The King suite wasn't as clean as we expected. There was a used shampoo bottle greeting us and the room's side tables didn't look as though they'd been cleaned. The clock was blinking and unset. There was a dead spider squished to the jacuzzi's side. The bathroom was dated and overall I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel as it is.We skipped the breakfast.

Very well taken care of hotel. The staff here are really nice. The lighting in the shower bathroom could have been a little better, but really no complaints overall about this hotel. Mediacom Cable television that has a guide on screen and lots of channels available. No channel listing in the room.

Horrible Dirty Place. I was put in a room that someone just checked out. I was told I had to wait until 10 when I checked in a 6:30 am. Wet towels all over. When I came back the bed was not clean sheets. There was dried blood on the pillow cases and sheets when I pulled the sheets down there was a ladies long hair all over. I had a reservation too! Uncalled for. They need to be reported. Then no breakfast was being given out. Bad News.

Traveling on business last week. It got late as I was 4 1/2 hours away from home.Stayed the night here on chance. I was pleasantly surprised with everything. Hotel staff greeting was very nice. Checked in.Stayed in room 214. It was very basic with king bed refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, clean towels, and ammenities. TV remote was missing. Call to the front desk had a replacement in 5 minutes.Breakfast was limited due to COVID restrictions. Belgium waffles, sausage, eggs, AND Dunkin donutes. Plus cereal, toast, fresh fruit etc.Checkout was a breeze and I felt refreshed the next morning and got home safely. Hotel staff were very friendly, and nice.In conclusion, if you want chocolate dipped strawberries and champaine in the room, keep driving. If you need a nice place to stopfor the night. This is it! Will stay again next time I am in the area.
