i thought long and hard before writing a review, but i believe people should know about my experience. when i first came in, the gentleman i spoke to (mark i think) was extremely kind. i do have intoxalock installed in my car, but he was very kind about it, and even said that they install intoxalock at the shop. i made an appointment for the next day, but a different guy was there at the front desk, i think his name is manny. he s an incredibly rude guy who literally said i don t want to work on cars with intoxalock, bc last time i got sick blowing into the device. hmmmm okay. so you install the device but won t work on cars with it? please make that make sense LOL. mark said it was fine, then manny said it s not. clearly your employees aren t all on the same page, and that s a problem.finally, manny agreed to work on my car after i basically begged him. i left my car with them so it could be looked at, and it took them FOREVER to get back to me. it took about 6 hours just for them to tell me what s wrong with it. keep in mind they never called me to update me, i had to keep calling for any updates.they were trying to charge me $2900 for struts and a new rear axle beam. i said heck no and went to pick up my car. i was able to find struts for $240 and with labor included im spending a little UNDER $500. MB garage was trying to charge me $1000 for just the struts with labor. i may look young but im not dumb. mechanics love to rip you off.do your business elsewhere. this place is a scam with incompetent workers. what a joke!

I walked in and Manny who has owned the shop for 16 years now helped me out. Yes I did not even need any automotive help it was something non car related. In my opinion that is one measure of a good person. That is someone who helps you with no reward to come his or her way. Thank you Manny for your help with the right people to help me that Friday morning. You did come from a big family still in my opinion. Lol

My car was taken for service almost as soon as I came in. Manny made sure I was comfortable while waiting. Car was serviced ASAP and I was on my way.Great service and courteous, knowledgeable crew.

MB provided us with an estimate, and stuck to it! Given that the vehicle was over 15 years old the repairs were extensive, and MB provided excellent service and kept us in the loop all the way through. I will be a returning customer!

Forget about bringing your own parts, they will punish you for that upcharging for service, which already is higher then normal. They could just tell you up front that they won't service your car with own supplied parts. They also charged me for diagnosing the problem without telling me that would cost anything even so I told them what I need done and what is wrong with the car. I was ok dealing with Manny, new guy just cost them customer and prompted this reviewService: Engine repair

NEVER GO HERE. I have taken four cars to MB Garage with different problems and I thought you could trust the owner Manny, unfortunately, I was wrong. I have spent A LOT of money at MB garage I have been a client for at least a couple of years.��A month ago, I took my son s car and they messed it up and returned my son s car without the car alignment. My son, a college student, had to replace two brand new tires because of their mistake!I was very mad about the whole situation, the mistake they made, the risk my son took driving the car without alignment because of MB Garage s fault, and all the money we were spending on fixing the car and having to put new tires again! When I explained to Manny what happened he did not care enough to see me when I took the car back to his shop for them to fix their mistake! I had to come back the next day to talk to him. When I finally have to talk to him, he WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL to me; he treated me like a less than important client. He was diminished and arrogant. He finally recognized his fault and agree to give half of the price of a cheap tire (even if my son paid for 4 new tires), and when I was going to take the check, he got mad and took it back!! Pathetic, unprofessional and ridiculous! This is how Manny treats his faithful client.I WOULD DO RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Really sloppy job,they didn t let us know what they were doing on the car or give us info on anything!!We would have to call them all the time.We took our car and it wasn t even checked properly,so we took it to another mechanic to only see that they didn t put back a plug that was needed for the intercooler to work but wanted to charge us extra for diagnostics to figure out the problem they had created.Very disappointed by the hole experience!!!Service: Electrical

I've been bringing my vehicles to MB garage for years. Manny is honest and professional. He is very good at triage on older vehicles with multiple problems. He will let you know what needs immediate attention and what can wait. His staff is friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy with the service. Prices are very reasonable.

MB garage has been in Huntley for a long time and has out lasted many other repairs shops. I've always had good experiences with the many vehicles I've taken there over the years. They never try to pad the service with unnecessary unneeded repairs and are always straightforward and honest.

They are friendly, and if you just need tires changed or oil they can accomplish that well... But when it comes to big jobs be careful. Not quoted time, fixed same exact problem 3 times with no discount. When problem happen 1 to 2 months after each fix. The shop seems great on newer cars but anything before 2010 i recommend Kellenbergers in Elgin IL. Great quality work and insure labor for free, Will work with you on pricing. Its my new go to.... Mannys is fine for 2011 and up but anything else i have only had terrible work done. I have used his shop over 10 times. BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO PLEASE

Manny is the most honest mechanic I have ever been to. Great guy. Always satisfied with the work. Moving and sad, because I know it will be hard to find another honest good shop.

NEVER GO HERE. Manny is very unprofessional and disrespectful in the way he spoke down to me. The service I had at MB garage was the worst BY FAR I ve ever had. I brought my vehicle in for a very simple job and they completely messed up my car then accused me of it being my fault because I did not bring them the manual for the part I was having installed. Then threatened me to not fix my car and said I need to bring it somewhere else. Then eventually after going back and forth they tried to CHARGE me to fix THEIR mistake. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I love Manny!! I used to have a Saab that always had problems lol and this shop was great and always has been. I referred my sister and niece here and they both love Manny too. Now he takes care of my CRV and I wouldn t take my car to anyone else!!

Just very unprofessional when you drop off your car and are given a price on what the amount is going to be after service then picking up my car and being told a complete different price then what I was told 3 hours ago! Manny was kind enough to come in when the garage would normally be closed when a bunch of irresponsible college kids like me forgot we needed our cars looked at until it was time to go back to school. Fast and fairly priced every time, and I refuse to go anywhere else.
