We recently moved to the area; so I went to the dealer to get an oil change. They came back and told me I needed brakes. A neighbor who is very informed on cars and Huntley referred me to Huntley Auto Repair in the past. I finally took him up on it, and I could not recommend this place more. He told me I did not need brakes yet and will need them a little later. They did a full inspection and repaired a rim for a way beyond fair price. I have never walked out of an establishment feeling fulfilled and over treated. I will be taking our vehicles here for a very long time. Could not recommend it enough they were very good, fair, honest people.

Took my vehicle here to have it looked at. Told me what the problem was and gave me a quote quickly. I then set an appointment to have the work done on my vehicle. Appointment was on a Friday and dropped it off on a Thursday night. Heard nothing Friday, Saturday after received a call saying they hadn t had a chance to look at it and they were just backed up. Told me it should be done hopefully Tuesday if not Wednesday at the latest. Heard nothing on Monday called Tuesday only to be told they could not do the work. The work need was to replace the exhaust manifolds. Took time off work specifically to have this work done and was without a vehicle only to be told they couldn t do it. Unacceptable!

Mike the owner is only one I trust to work on my Car. Danny does some serious repairs. I had an engine in my Caddy switched out. From small to big they can take care of it.

Had some really terrible service from the owner Mike. Brought my car in because I was having issues with a vibration and one of my headlights was out. The tires were balanced and the light was fixed. But I still felt like there was a slight vibration. I made an appointment to have it looked at again and was met with defensiveness and dismissal. I brought in my car at my appointment time, then called back 2 hours later since I hadn t heard back only to find out they hadn t even looked at it. I asked them to make sure everything was right, they told me to give them an hour. An hour and half later when I called back, they said the car was ready. I picked it up and it drove worse than when I dropped it off initially. I brought it back a third time and this time Mike rode in the car with me and my mother for a test drive. We tried to point out why it was worse and he dismissed our concerns yet again. Finally fed up we brought him back to the shop and he refunded my money. I took my car to another shop and they told me I had flat places in one tire, and that almost all of them were low on air. I appreciate that my light was fixed quickly and effectively and that my money was refunded, but the way I was treated over my concerns was ridiculous especially when I was proven right. Will not return, would not recommend.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

When I had car problems I wanted to choose a local independently owned mechanic and am very happy I chose Huntley Auto Repair. I've taken my wife's car in twice now and Mike took great care of me and was honest and helpful in all my options. There was a slight issue with the 2nd the I came in but Mike handled it great and made it right. I would highly recommend.

They were able to get my car in right away, completed new brakes and oil change same day. The price of everything was way lower than I was expecting. Honest company, explained everything they were going to do plus the pricing- mentioned other work that was needed but told me it can wait a little bit which I really appreciated being on a budget. Everyone I had contact with were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning for future repairs and maintenance, highly recommend for others!Services: Brakes, Oil change

Very down-to-earth honest fair prices. Very knowledgeable people. They didn't try to anything. Told me exactly what was wrong and explained it well. Gave me the best deal they could and even knocked some dollars off. These guys are awesome.

Excellent and honest service. There is no pressure selling here. They will only diagnose what needs to be done to make your vehicle safe and operable. I've been going here since they opened and was a long-time customer at their original, and still open, family run location in Roselle, IL.

I ve gone to Huntley Auto repair for years now! I have had only the best of service! Considering our cars needing repairs, which is always costly. They have always been the better price and they are up front and honest. Just some darn good people to work with.They tell me what is best for me and my cars and we move forward from there. We FINALLY got our truck back. The work seems fine so far but the customer service not so good. I hate being lied to and that is all we have been getting from Mike and Huntley Auto.They have now had our new parts in for over a month however we still don t have our truck back. Every single week they tell us we will get it but no. This past week they actually told us it was a priority and we will have it by weeks end. Well Saturday came and went and we still don t have our truck back. 3 weeks ago Mike told us we would have it by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest of the next week yet they didn t even start working on it until that Friday. Now we are over a week later and still nothing. Mike keeps telling me that he appreciates our patience. WE ARE OUT PATIENCE.

I recently moved to Huntley from out of town. Needing car repair and not knowing anyone, I checked the Internet. This business won hands down for favorable reviews. As such, I contacted and used their services for a variety of repairs which needed to be done. My experience was just like all of the others-exceeded my expectations! I walked into a friendly Mike who reviewed a competitor s estimate for needed repairs He reviewed them one by one as to what really needed to be done based on his decades in the auto business.Bottom line - I saved thousands and feel my car is in perfect running order. We were traveling from Minneapolis to Indianapolis and our vehicle check engine light came on with a hot smell. We had our small kids with us and we just googled a place to take our vehicle. This business was so nice to us. They diagnosed the problem, found the alternator we needed in town and got it fixed all within about 3 hours and we were back on the road. The price was fair and we re so grateful they were willing to help us even though their shop was very busy! I would highly recommend them! I had a CV joint, front axle replaced last June. Then I discovered in early September of this year, that the front axle and joint was coming apart and fluid was also leaking at the transmission seal. I contacted Huntley Auto Repair, and they repaired the problem with only very minimal cost to me. Mike guaranteed both their labor and the parts that had been installed, even though it was more than one year later. I would definitely recommend this special, auto repair garage.

You are always wary about going to a new auto shop, but this place came recommended, and proved to be a really good place to choose. Mike (the owner, maybe?) is very knowledgeable, and treats all his customers well. I have been going to Huntley Auto Repair for years now. I've always had great service and charges were always reasonable. They explain what needs to be done and why, and have never tried to sell me services or parts I didn't need. My only [extremely minor] issue with them is that if no one is at the desk when you walk in, you just have to wait until someone comes out, and it's awkward just having to wait at the desk without knowing if anyone saw you there.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've taken 3 different cars to Huntley Auto Repair since moving here 2 years ago. These guys welcomed us to town by giving us the same service and professionalism as our last mechanic in small town Iowa. I have had everything happen to our cars in the past 2 years and Huntley Auto Repair was honest and gave us all the options. I won't even think of taking my car anywhere else. They're putting new tires on my 35 yr old fun car as I write this while sitting on one of their two comfy couches. I recommend Huntley Auto Repair to anyone no matter the car or reason. Brought my car here and happy to talk to a real mechanic after leaving the dealership. Great job and trusted Huntley Auto Repair in fixing my breaks and tie rods. I also brought my car back to work on a timer before moving out of state. My cousin told me about this place after he started taking his Infiniti to Huntley Auto Repair.These guys are great, great mechanics you can trust and really a pleasure to do business with - superior in every way.

My son recently was visiting friends near Huntley And was in a minor car accident. His vehicle was not drivable. We called around and Huntley Auto repair worked with us to get the vehicle in quickly to have inspected. As it needed some major work, they worked with our insurance company to get his vehicle back on the road. Mike was fabulous through the entire process! We are very grateful to find such a trust worthy Auto repair shop that could help my son while he was out of town! 5 starts for professionalism, quality of work and honestly.

These guys are great! Been going to them for 10+ years. I even moved away from Huntley and still bring all my cars (I have 4 boys) to them. Always fair and reasonable and do great work!!
