Vicki and Mike are the ultimate A Team! From start to finish Vicki was amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention so, so kind. She even went as far as to set my 7 year old and 3 year old daughters up with crayons, coloring pages and snacks to keep them busy! She was fantastic! I wanted to give her our business before we even looked at trailers. Vicki found us the perfect trailer to match our very specific needs. When we looked at the price tag I wasn t sure we could make it happen with our budget. But, Mike, we ll have to call him Magic Mike, not to be confused with Mr. Tatum (though RV Center Magic Mike is quite strapping and extremely charismatic) because he somehow managed to work the numbers to make it all possible! Vicki and Mike made my husband and myself feel so comfortable through the viewing to the purchasing of our new trailer. My family will be able to continue our adventures thanks to the AWESOME TEAM at General RV Center! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Vicki and Mike!!!

My family and I decided to finally check out the RV show in our county. We had no idea we would leave with a purchase. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant and professional. Micheal Scornavacco promised to take care of us and he made a few promises that he KEPT. I had a few frustrating moments but Michael and Jason Lindsey did everything in their power to make our dream of camping a reality. Because of this awesome duo we will continue the legacy my Father started for his family. Thanks again General RV, Michael and Jason for your support.

We are very satisfied with our experience with this dealership. We have purchased a brand new Hurricane 34j in September of 2023. The whole staff was very helpful and the experience was positive, pleasant and very exciting. Ms. Yolanda is our service rep and we are extremely pleased with her. She's knowledgeable, caring, sweet and very very helpful and accomodating.

Purchased a 2024 Transcend from General RV Huntley and had an amazing experience. Started at the RV show and then finished in the store. Everyone was extremely helpful and willing to work with us. Jack in Sales, Faraon in Finance, Jim in Management, and Bruno in Service are the best! Very personal experience unlike the other large retailers. Made us feel like Family. Will be coming back for years to come.

This place has it down to a science. Was in and out of there in record time with an RV in tow. Walked in, was greeted and promptly taken to a sales rep. All in all a great buying experience, even though they were not an Airstream dealer, they did a pretty good job. Sadly, this meant saying goodbye to my previous Airstream of about 20 years.

We just had a terrific experience. Bill Kimberly helped us at the end of our warranty period get everything we needed completed. Great additude, and really just wanted us to be happy with the work completed. He took time to explain all completed work and we just can t thank him enough. Lewis Shutan, parts manager at General RV Center in Huntley, Ind., was a prince among men when he went way above and beyond in our nearly 3-week search for a driver's side windshield replacement on our 1993 Fleetwood Bounder. We searched high and low for one in three surrounding states to Missouri before contacting him at General RV. Three days later, the replacement was being drop-shipped from the manufacturer to Colaw's RV Sales in Carthage. (cracked windshield equals no inspection. Grrr.) He was so incredibly helpful, polite and professional and the windshield arrived in perfect condition. The man is a motor home miracle worker. Kudos to Lewis and his team at General RV. They deserve a cookie, at the very least. Thanks so much for your invaluable service and Happy Trails.

BUYER BEWARE!!!Don t purchase with General RV or at least don t waste your money on purchasing their most recommended extended warranty from Corner stone that covers everything from top to bottom. We bought our 22 transcend 265bh new from general rv in Huntley IL in August of 22. We were sold on the highly recommended most selling extended warranty from cornerstone. We were told it covers everything from top to bottom. Fast forward to October of 23 we had a hard time setting up a Saturday to drop our camper off for warranty work. Being that it was a long list of work to be done ( floor sags in the kitchen area, roof sags over the slide out, marker lights don t work, oven has never worked from day one) they agreed to store it all winter to do the work when convenient for them. Was told that it was formality that we put $1230 down for the storage but when we pick the camper up we would be reimbursed that money minus our $150 deductible since it was warranty work. When we showed up at the end of March 2024 we were told they knew nothing about the reimbursement and the computer just showed we were paid in full and that we would have to talk to the service advisor we dropped our camper off with on Monday. We also found out they said the floor and roof were fine but charge $225 each to inspect. The only thing covered under warranty was the oven and by some miracle after everything was totaled up and the warranty company paid their end, the total came out to exactly $1230. Sounds to me like I m being taken advantage of. So my advice to anyone is don t waste your money on the extended warranty that they tell you covers everything when it does not. I feel I have been lied to and it turns out this is a common practice here.

For the past few years there has been one key individual that has helped me, and made life easy for me and my family, and that s Bill Kimberley. Everyone has issues with their RV, goes without question. Bill went the extra steps needed to make sure warranty items and service was properly handled with Tiffin for our Allegro Bus. If there is anyone that I would recommend to deal with any issues, service, and to get to the bottom of things, ask for Bill! He does what he says!

We bought a new 2023 Fleetwood bounder 35K in September. We went on one trip. The coach has 1200 miles on it and it s been in the shop since October 2023. It needed a new transmission, water leakage and a laundry list of other items to be fixed, including the dinette, not being bolted down from the factory. Yolanda Brzycki is our service advisor. First i was told our coach was sold as as is . Which it s brand new. I have approx 180 emails back and forth between Yolanda, REV and I. I finally picked up our coach in March 2024. One item still was not fixed. The loud squeaking coming from the drivers and pass dash. Yolanda has been a saint through this whole ordeal. This is the first coach we ve ever bought from general. However, this is the sixth coach that my wife and I have had. So we are not newbies. Yolanda was getting frustrated also when general text would say things were fixed like the lock on the door and the dinette etc. and it was not.Thank you for your response. I do have an update. We had to bring our coach to camping world to get a safety plus steering stabilizer put on because they re the only ones around here that do it. While I was there, I asked the tech that when he test drove the coach to see if he thought where the squeak was coming from. Believe it or not after $180.00 later, they fix the squeak General spent took countless days, weeks and months to try to find. They even took the dash apart. It was a simple as readjusting the bunk above the cab. They said it was not adjusted correctly from the factory. No more squeaks. If you can pass this onto the General techs it would be great for any other future owners of a unit like this.

Tom Deter is great to work with & loves his job. He s full of knowledge & makes you feel at home. Zain was great too & helped us out a lot with the financing portion & explained every detail with us. The service department was helpful & answered all our questions. Overall, the biggest issue I had was when I took the RV trailer home & then drove down to Missouri, the drive was horrible. The trailer was swaying a lot & it didn t feel safe. Well when I arrived at my destination in Missouri & unhitched the trailer, I found that the trailer was not hooked up correctly. First there was a cotter pin missing from the hitch pin so the entire assembly could have came off & the trailer would have possibly hit something or had been damaged. The second thing was the sway bar hitch, the small one the sway bar hooks up to, the lock it was completely off. I went & bought the required parts need for it to be safe & the drive back home from Missouri was way better & safer. Other than that incident, which I am not pleased about, everything went well. We are happy with our purchase & hope I can hear from someone regarding the hitch issue.

Put a deposit down on trailer, scheduled a video walk through for the next day, got a call from the dealer the next morning stating oh we just can t do it today because we re going to be so busy they assured me that I had nothing to worry about, trailer had my name on it and they d be in touch the next day. Next day they call to tell me they sold it to someone else.Fast forward a year later, they do the SAME EXACT THING AGAIN. I scheduled a walkthrough, they call me that morning say we can t do it, we re too busy next day rolls around, they finally do a walk through with me, we negotiate price, agree on a number, I put a $5k non refundable deposit down, get a call an hour later, guess what. They sold it to someone else.These people are lying, manipulative, amoral crooks that would sell their own children into servitude if it meant getting ahead. Don t walk, run away from this dealer. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone ever. I hope this review keeps even one person from choosing to waste their time being lied to, deceived, and treated poorly by these amoral neanderthals.For what it s worth I was also an all cash buyer, I cannot even begin to imagine how much deeper my nightmare working with them would have ran if I trusted them with a credit app.

I will tell you what s the best about this place - Privately Owned.I canceled my deal on a Brand New 2023 Entegra Aspire 44R, only because of miss understanding with Financing Department. Do you know what happened the next day? The General Manager called us and then one of the owners of General RV.1. My problem was fixed in less than one hour2. We got a better deal3. We signed the deal from our home, just to make us feel safe.Yes, we had bad experience at the beginning, but I can insure you that being a customer of General RV is safe, only because the Owners Care about each of us. Let s be more positive and respect towards our local businesses, especially places where the owners make a change, get involved and saves your deal(s).Thank you

Great service. Go see Bill Wimberley as he gets stuff done especially when it comes to dealing with Thor Warranty which is probably the worst manufacturer as to quality control. My next RV coach will be a diesel pusher but not by Thor.

Dishonest and shady RV dealer. Do not under any circumstance attempt to do business with them. They will lie and cheat you every step of the purchase process. The least transparent dealership that I have ever dealt with in my life and I have been RVing for the past 20 years! in that time I have owned 5 different units. Dealer is looking to capitalize on the saying "a sucker is born every day". Don't let yourself be their sucker! Make sure you have any rig that you're looking at professionally inspected by an independent 3rd party and do NOT give them a deposit on anything. The deposit, no matter how significant will NOT prevent them from selling the rig to someone else.The best bet is to take your business anywhere else.

We went to General RV in Huntley IL to take a look at Class A's. We went a little reluctantly; a previous visit was not a good experience.I got to say this visit was a lot better than the previous. We met with Tessa, who drove us around the facility and showed us options in our general price range. Tessa was very personable and knowledgeable; if she didn't know an answer to a question she knew where/who did.The only reason for the 4, not a 5, star was the maintenance needed on a couple NEW campers. I'm sure all of the issues would be addressed prior to selling any of the campers.

General rv is the most amazing place to buy an RV I recommend everyone to go there. Tessa was my sales agent and she took care of us from start to finish. When stuff stopped working in the rv while I was switching between my RV she brought out space heaters to help keep my family warm. The GM personal helped with everything that went wrong he made sure I was taken care of and they made me feel like part of there family. So please stop in and talk to them about the RV they have I promise they will make you feel like family too. All around my whole experience was amazing Thank you to everyone at General Rv

My wife and I are first time travel trailer owners, and we couldn't be happier that we went to General RV to get started. Each member from Tom in sales to finance and delivery was extremely personable and a pleasure to deal with. Zero pressure to make any additional purchases during the delivery. Todd in delivery was very thorough and informative to ensure we knew exactly how everything worked. General RV will definitely be first on our list if we ever decide to upgrade in the future.
