Caught a blade in my tire, got here 2 minutes before they closed. The store manager - Aris and one of the techs - Blake, didn t even take a second before having me pull in and plug the hole in my tire and making sure there were no others. These 2 gentlemen are the definition of professionalism and client service. They easily could have turned me away and said they were closed. But chose to help instead. I d give them 10 stars if I could!

The best people work at this Pep Boys at 18024 s. Halsted in Homewood. I brought my Range Rover here for a break job. After inspection, I am told that I needed rotors and drums, and break pads. I was skeptical at first, because of the price. I know that Range Rover parts and labor are expensive. But afterwards, they gave me some discount to make it affordable for me. I am satisfied after the work is completed and Bryant at the front desk is an exceptional customer service person. The whole team are exceptional. I will continue to patronize this company for any car service repair in the future. Great people

I was stuck with a flat tire 300 miles from home. Hunter and Allen stepped up and seriously took care of me. They were polite and friendly and made sure I was on my way quickly. A joy to work with, I highly recommend these guys.

Lord...Do not get any services done at this location, if I could give them a zero that the example of professionalism that they do not offer. I have had many experiences trying to give them a chance to come up with a solution gor all the service order on different vehicles I taken to have work performed abd I must say from the smallest issue to charging me money for something I never asked to be fixed..Their customer service truly sucks, they tell you they will address the multiple issues and then you come back it's a different manager promising that the experience will be different to find that they all operate at the compactly of working their is fun time/a joke verses business.No one dies what they says. The on-going giving them a chance always resulted to another unresolved issues.At times I feel like I take my vehicles in just to come out with another issue. They have owned every complaint but refuses to resolve. The actual head courters who take the complaint also don't follow up..Be careful if you live in this area ..I encourage you to save yourself some unresolved grief because this place is horrible backed up with lies and no real customer service in store or from the cooperate office. I was charged ove one thousand dollars for something I didn't ask for left the store and in 3 mins I was stranded in the middle of the expressway.Before I picked up my vehicle, I called and repeatedly ask did they test drive was they 99% sure that all the inspections was done and they risked my life with telling me a lie.Then they take my car across the streets themselves and now I'm waiting and missing out on business, I used this vehicle for transportation purposes and it's been out of my possession now over 3 months enabling me to make a living for me and my family. I guess no one cares because it's not them. Three weeks ago I speak with the new store manager with a I will call you back and no call back..I'm the only one doing all the calling. Now I'm going to attorney generals office and the better business bureau because this is just unfair on every aspect. There is so much more that I can speak about this company PepBoys and the most important is they care less about their clients.

Great service! Got me in same day to put on some new tires! Like the complimentary inspection report with the picture! That way you know exactly what was looked at and inspected! Allen and everybody at the front desk were very pleasant and gave great customer service!!

Sales rep was nice and helpful. Waiting area clean and resourceful. Had an alignment done, but had to bring it back 2xs to get it right. Their Master Technician, Brian, fixed the issue with no questions. I'm happy with the service. Most places would argue with you and give you a run around. I will shop there again!

This place is awesome! A different location had to cancel my tire appointment last minute due to them not having the tires I needed and this location came to the rescue. I called them and they were able to get me in same day & located the tires I wanted. Aris was great! He helped me out so much & was friendly towards all customers there and the staff. Will definitely return again!

Allen, Zac and one other young man were truly exceptional!!!! They were friendly and respectful. They didn t try to get me to buy something I didn t want or need. I m more than pleased with the service I received.

Great they gave me a estimate time it would take and was done before.. positive pleasant Allen who walked me through everything. Gave me a quote etc..enjoy the comfortable waiting area came back to check make sure I was Ok...Best experience

Please be aware when taking your car here & make sure BRYAN M does not work on your car cause he ll mess it up!. I took my car here 11/04/2023 for a WHEEL ALIGNMENT, they ended up doing the wheel alignment with along a few other things I didn t ask for, including my coolant exchange which they didn t even call to say they were gonna change it when I always have my dad do it. I went on vacation and when I got back half of my heater was working and half wasn t, so I took my car on 12/08/23 & they told me that it ll be over $1.5k because they ll have to remove my middle council, my car was perfectly find before I left on vacation. Fast forward to mid January I realized my steering wheel was a little tilted as I was driving straight, but I didn t think anything of it cause I hardly drive my car. I took my car to the mechanic s I take my car to on 02/22/24 & when the mechanic called me he stated that THEY DIDNT DO THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT PROPERLY & it was messing with my car!!!! I was driving my car with my baby for 2 months while this was messed up. Luckily I had warranty and took it to the location in Lansing and they fixed it for me.

I took my vehicle in for the 1st time in November of 2023 they performed a tune-up and another issue. The engine light came back on, I took my vehicle back in on Saturday 03/24/24 they said it was the gas cap they replaced the cap I took my vehicle home engine light came back on vehicle wouldn't start I had it towed back to Pepboys they checked it said it was the battery I informed them I just brought the battery brand new in August 2023 with 3yrs. warranty I went and got another battery put in and my vehicle on Saturday 3/24/24 on Sunday 03/25/24 my vehicle stop again. It's not my battery. Pepboys doesn't know the problem they removed my gas cap that wasn't the problem. They has very poor service in fixing vehicles. Now my truck is just sitting in my driveway not working.

There was a slow leak in one of my tires. Come to find out a 2in nail was in it! When I went to Firestone they said the tire had to be replaced because it was bald (tires are only 1yr old and are rotated each oil change) cost me $250 for a new tire and they had my car for over 24 hours.A week later my OTHER tire had a nail UGGHHHH! PEP BOYS fixed it at no charge and had my car back to me within 2 hours. I am so grateful for Johnny W and Desmond Y for fixing my Jeep, Diana!! We are both very grateful. Pep Boys on spees dial from now on and will be recommending as well! Thanks Fellas!!!

Initially I came to the Homewood, Ill store in need of wheel mounting and balancing. The associates initially did the mounting and balancing of my wheels and tires, but incorrectly installed the wheel weights on one wheel (Front Driver Side). The incorrectly installed set of weights rubbed on the back of the caliper causing a noise. I returned in need of the one wheel's weights replaced. Upon my return I waited 3 hours in the lobby. After waiting 3 hrs my vehicle finally returned with no change in wheel weights and the same noise on the same wheel. I told the associate who worked there to return it to the garage to have the weights re-placed as they were not changed at all. Once the vehicle was returned to the garage the manager came fourth asking if my wheels were balanced. I stated to him that nothing was changed and that I still had an issue with the weights. I explained to him that this was unacceptable to release the vehicle in this state. He asked me to leave based on my apparent unhappiness of the job done to my vehicle.After this I asked the associate still in my car, to exit the vehicle and let me leave. Suddenly I was stormed by associates telling me to get the f out and to leave. One associate even ran up aggressively with intention to harm me, over mere words and disappointment.Upon my departure I then realized that they did not change the wheel weights that had an issue, but they changed the wrong wheels weights (RIGHT SIDE). So now I have two wheels with the same unresolved issue.NO. Never go there.

I have been trying to have my car looked at for 3 days by this company. I called the Matteson, IL location they said they were backed up and told me to come back the next day. I went in 12/10 and they told me they can t service me for a 120 point inspection and again to come back the next day. I find an online appointment for Homewood, IL for 3:30 12/11. I was told by Aris their manager that I d be seen and could pick up my vehicle by 5 pm. Expect a call. By 6 no call. I call at 7 because it should be ready and online it s saying my vehicle is being processed. It never moved from where I parked it at. They felt my door unlocked for over five hours as well and I believe I wasn t prioritized because my service wasn t a high ticket item. I asked why wasn t I informed that I wouldn t be looked at hours ago, Zach stated because I said I could leave it overnight which I never said. I have been inconvenienced for 3 days and my time continues to be wasted. This is unacceptable and it seems like a pattern across locations.(Exact message I left the corporate office) I also will be calling in the morning.

Aris and his crew were fantastic today. I was returning from an appointment when my tire pressure sensor warned me that needed to get help. I ended up at Pep Boys and they graciously changed my tire outside because it was FLAT, FLAT. Sensing I was overwhelmed, they did what was needed, got it done and sent me on my way. Free of charge! I was amazed and grateful. Anytime you need help, Pep Boys in Homewood is you place! 5 stars for sure.took care of things and sent me on my way

Excellent customer service!!Excellent!! Example: Passing by this particular location unbeknownst to me ran over something that punctured my tire. Fortunately I was able to coast into the lot right next to their automobile service area. 5:40pm the store closes at 6pm however the technician went out of his way to help me and my family. Plugged the tire and we were on our way. Offered to pay the gentleman, his response was pay it forward. Help another total stranger and keep your blessings going. He wouldn't take any form of payment!! Wow... Speechless!!A customer for life!!! IndeedTHANK YOU!!! Saved the day!!!

My service rep was excellent to work with. Courteous and accommodating. Was a little frustrating that I had to make sure they charged me the discounted advertised pricing, but the rep that took care of me was a pleasure to deal with.

UPDATE: So I had another mechanic look at my car. The OBD stopped working becuz something Pep Boys did caused fuses to blow. So now the OBD works & a diagnostic was performed. I am appalled at the findings: the camshaft positioning sensor showed up as bad. The mechanic removed the part only to find out that Pep Boys mechanic broke the part and tried to cover it up by gluing it together. And, they did not bolt the cable from the alternator to the battery. This is blatant irresponsibility. Filing a lawsuit!!!The My car had no obvious problems besides brakes which were replaced. They said I needed an alternator so I allowed the replacement. As soon as I turn on my car my engine light is on when I had no warning lights prior to that repair. I called them immediately before I even left the lot. They agreed to check it but I had to make another appt becuz I had no way to leave the vehicle overnight. I've paid over $1600 for tires, brakes & alternator in 1 month and now this check engine light issue which after googling the possible cause could be mechanic failure to install properly. Also took the car for 2 diagnostics and now also the OBD isn't working. Your shop was the last who had your mechanic hands on my car So warning definitely has been improperly repaired!!!

Clearly Pepboys is short staffed, but they are still taking in more work. Jobs are rushed and simple things are missed due to technicians hurrying to get to the next vehicle. To make it worse they explain nothing to you when you pick up your car... pay the bill and get out of the way type of experience. Save the time and go somewhere else even if you have to pay a little more!

I had the pleasure of stopping by Homewood Pep Boys on Feb. 1st. Not only was the place clean it was not full of costumers. I was greeted and treated kindly by staff. My issues was address without them trying to dig into my pockets. Thanks Homewood Pep Boys!!

Supplier sent wrong parts and pep boys installed the wrong parts on my vehicle. Because they were installed, I can't get a refund and pep boys takes no accountantability. I'm not a professional. That's why thought to pay a "professional company." Also making the car unsafe to drive. Thanks allot

Eris took care of me today. His customer service skills were excellent. He clearly explained what repairs I needed. Although, I didn t get all the recommended work done. I did appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I will definitely return to have future repairs on my vehicle done! Service was great. I wish more repair shops were run this way!

One employee was extremely rude to my wife, called her sweet heart, two employees argued openly over scale of discount after not doing the work they said they would do the day before. We're obviously never going back.
