I never share my feedback until I m sure that is necessary!I would give them 0 if I could!3 jobs done and each of them had extra charges!This guy s estimate is far from accurate.After all this years in business they should be able to get you more accurate estimates with no unexpected charges.So many mistakes with the build.With my custom headers he ended up hammering my shock towers to make clearance ( custom headers, made from scratch, with extra charges - can share invoice and pictures! )Had my R8 serviced and oil leak fixed- of course there s been extra charges.I told them to give me a favor and take a picture of everything you do but non of them has been sent.As you see I give them 2 chances alreadyIn short period of time I decided to add twin turbo to my R8 , told them to give me estimateFirst one his crew told me was $10k less from actual charges. Official estimate ended up higher but I was like, ok with all details that s ok . But it ended up a lot higher with extra charges!My bumpers were not even reinstalled .Bumpers didn t fit , as I requested to be able to have them back on!Instead of working on custom made exhaust he ended up trimming my exhaust tips.Talked to owner but this guy don t care about anything then money.! He will never take any responsibility. He offered me to split extra charges and instead refund it he offered credit for next service.I ll never go back there!!By the way, leak is still there, paid for something that wasn t fixed .If I have to , I ll share communication and estimates/invoicesTo give you examples how off his estimate is!Hiring those guys make sure you have extra money ready, it will cost a lot more than estimated!

Underground Autosports is an amazing shop! I was originally looking around for a shop to supercharge my truck but it turned into much more over time. They were one of the only ones in the area that would do it with the tune I wanted, since Toyota has a very difficult ECU to work with. I was and continue to be, a very satisfied customer. Almost 2 years later and I have had Underground do just about everything imaginable to my truck. They installed my supercharger, 10" bullet proof lift kit, 37" tires with bead locks, motorized drop steps, new headlights, tail lights, winch system, exhaust and exhaust head actuator, mesh grill, light bar, fog lights, front and rear bumpers, front and rear end Yukon gears and full wiring for the new goodies. They far exceeded my expectations. There were some items that needed adjustment or tweaks here and there, which can fully be expected when installing after market parts, but Brandon and his team were always honest, punctual and ready to help explain the issues at hand. They also did a great job of keeping me updated every step of the way throughout each mini project of making this truck what it is today. Needless to say, I also have them do my every day maintenance (oil change, brakes etc) as no job is too big or small for them. I cannot thank the Underground Autosports team enough for making my dream truck a reality!

Brandon supercharged my 2008 Miata, installed headers, full exhaust and modified the suspension. Now I go to him for regular maintenance and I've been loving it for 2 years!

Like the others said - avoid this place. I had my BMW 335is in for Cobb upgrades and they cracked the valve cover. Took a while to figure it out, but these hacks didn't own up to the damage they did. Oil all over the firewall. Huge mess. On my X5, I brought it in for some routine maintenance (before I know the valve cover was cracked) and the car was given back to me in limp mode with the dash full of alarms, but they didn't do it. Right... Cost me $2k for BMW to fix their mess. Plus, I paid for a coolant flush and BMW said there is "no way that coolant was changed in the last year." Go anywhere else and avoid the nightmare.

How do you rate lower than one star. I was trying to find a place to install a pair of headers on my car. So it's close to home and I went there. I walked down this LOOOONG hallway and I hear DING DONG so they know someone is coming in. I'm finally inside the place now and lights are on their garage is accessible. So I wait a few minutes. NOBODY COMES. I speak loudly HELLO. Nobody comes. I waited Twenty minutes and the owners dog that was laying where I was standing gets up to get me, sniffs my shoes and lays back down. I turned around and walked out. Bye bye-bye you don't get my business. After searching four other places I opted for a place out in Hampshire.

Brandon and Sean are serious enthusiasts, and their passion rubs off on everything they do around the shop. I'm on a tight performance budget so I haven't had the opportunity to engage the Underground team on any big builds, but I stop buy for parts and incidentals. These guys are just as willing to share ideas, tips and advice as if I was embarking on a 10K+ build. These guys are just awesome to work with! Highly recommended.

Brandon over at underground does all my performance work. My car runs like a champ. Better, Stronger Faster. If you want high performance parts and installation performed by people who understand what is needed, this is the place to go. Their recommendations always give you the best results. Their dyno tuning is amazing. I only review The Best of the Best. I drive a Challenger SRT8 and these guys know what they're doing. I only gave you the best of the best. Trust me, it'll be the best decision you made in a long time. Follow me, I'll keep your car moving fast. Share and like.

Just got Borla Exhaust installed on a AWD Hemi Charger 5.7L V8. Borla themselves had told me that this exhaust system will not work for my car. Not too many people have a AWD charger and I was feeling hopeless with the lack of information on the web. My wife got disappointed too because it was suppose to be my birthday present. I reached out to Brendan and his crew at Underground. They offered free consultation and with their help we actually discovered that Borla gave me the wrong info! The exhaust worked just fine for AWD models.The installation went fine, very pleased with the new system effect. Very convenient location in Hoffman/Schaumburg area near Woodfield. Price is right for automobile mechanical work in the US.I saw multiple mustangs and Camaros sitting around getting worked on, as well as other much more luxurious vehicles. So I felt safe with my car been there along with all of the other owners. It will always be my go to place around Schaumburg, where I can improve my cars. You can't find this level of customization or trust at a manufacturer car dealership.---Adam Yu

Came in for front crank seal and oilpan seal replacement. Some snags came up and extra parts needed to be ordered, which was expected and is totally fine, but Brandon and Shawn didn't communicate any price increase from the initial estimate so I didn't know the final price until they called and told me the car was finished, they took over a week to do the work which was a bit excessive and the only excuse was parts take time shipping. They finally call to tell me the car is buttoned up and I go to pick it up and the alignment is off, the intake manifold was thrown on sloppily and not even tightened, the steering wheel is unclocked by about 90� and the engine timing was completely off, I'm surprised the car started and even ran at all. They tried giving me a runaround about electrical issues being the reason the car ran poorly, but I got it home and Inspected the timing with a timing light, retimed the sensor that they told me was failing, and my car ran completely fine. Scummy practices and they are nothing more than a glorified storage unit that will try to make up excuses to keep your car for unnecessary work.

I have owned a C4 Corvette for nine years. Every time I needed a diagnosis and repair for my Corvette, I took it to Underground AutoSports. They have always provided first class service. Their entire staff was always courteous and professional. They offer a wide range of services, from routine repair, custom fabrication, race preparation and complete engine builds. High praise for an unusual ask. I had an unusual request for them. Not exactly their specialty. Brandon explained he could do the work, but recommended I try the original seller first for a replacement. He actually got on the phone and helped me negotiate a deal with the seller, getting me an original replacement (AT NO COST!) instead of fixing my current setup! I will gladly take my Family business there going forward. Not the most convenient location for me either...but trust goes a long way!

My experience with Underground Autosports was very positive. I needed some work done on a Saturn Ion (not great dealer support for this vehicle any more). The work was completed quickly and professionally, it was done for the quoted price and my problem was resolved. You can't ask for more than that. While this shop excels at custom work, they can take care of every day car problems too. Highly recommended, will be having all my automotive service done there.

Had underground autosports install a turbocharger in my car, it was a premade kit that was supposed to bolt right up to the car. Was estimated to cost around $1100 (12 hours) not including the tuning, which I wasn't planning on having them do. As expected, some things needed adjusting; however, I got charged nearly four times the original estimate! On the night I received my car, they told me it was safe enough to drive.. meanwhile, about 2 hours later my car refused to start and transmission fluid was leaking all over the ground- one of the sensors was loose, and the transmission dipstick was installed incorrectly. I have asked them to fix the dipstick, but they refuse to do so without asking me for more money. For 4,000 dollars, I would have expected a flawless installation, especially since there was hardly any fabrication needed aside from the downpipe. I feel like I should have listened to what other people told me about this shop. I will not be returning and I definitely wouldn't recommend this shop.

Came in to have our freshly built supercharged motor tuned on their dyno. This was on a Friday and we had an autocross event the following day. Our build was strong but we ran into a few issues and the car was miss behaving. After some great troubleshooting they found a check valve had failed causing the crankcase to preasureize. With that fixed everything still wasn t correct so more sleuthing discover a crack in our header. I thought that this was it and our weekend was done. But that wasn t the case.The solution of welding the header was quickly floated and accepted. With these issues taken care of we could successfully be tuned. Even though this was a Friday that turned into Friday evening then into Friday night (there was a shop outing that was delayed do to the extra time required for our car) The staff was great and went up and beyond my expectations. I never felt they were rushing my project even though it was keeping them from leaving on their outing. By the time there were done our car was as close to perfect as it could get and my wife and I were able to run in the weekends autocross thaking second and third in our class.If you are looking for a shop to go the extra mile to get your car right and ready this is the place to go.i would also not hesitate having the, build out a car for us. Everyone is great, skilled and very communicative.

Called and made an appointment to have the rear fenders rolled on my Evo X. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Professional and friendly. Dropped the car off... went to grab a bite to eat and do a little shopping and they called to let me know the car was ready. Great experience. Definitely recommend.

Took in my M3 for fluid changes and boost pipe replacement. Brandon was very welcoming and super helpful explaining the job. I have taken my vehicles to Brandon and his team for 8 years. Even though it is a 30 minute commute one way, it is worth it because I know runs his company on Integrity and accuracy. I have referred many people to him over the years and have never heard anything but great satisfaction!

Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wanted to get some slight work done on my car (fender rolling) but they gave me their pure honest perspectives with pros and cons.Will definitely keep this shop in mind once I get my hands on my Ford Gran Torino

I found this place by accident but I'm so happy to have found it. It's simply amazing! The work that's done here is the stuff I've only seen on Gas Monkey and Motor Trend Channel, builds that are high end and better quality than you would expect. It really is the best kept secret in Schaumburg. Not only was I impressed by the cars I was even more impressed by the team of mechanics and management that make this place crank at what must be 1K hp!

Brandon and Perry,I've been meaning to send this out sooner, but have been very busy with both work and a recent trip. I wanted to thank you guys again for getting my Miata transitioned from "storage" to "track-ready" so quickly a couple weeks ago. Initially, I didn't think I'd have a chance to drive this year, but you guys allowed me to take advantage of a last minute opportunity. Thanks again for your prompt and friendly service.

I contacted UA to ask about having a used car evaluated before purchase. Brandon advised me that they have a standard inspection and provide a 4 page "Car Report Card" for only $90 - and they could fit me in any time. When he heard the year and model I was considering he said "Probably not worth buying or even spending the $$ for the report."Much appreciated. Thanks, UA!

Parry and Brandon operate an awsome shop, they can handle everything from a full on Road Race car conversion to topping off your A/C and they do it all with professionalism, proficiency, and a politeness rarely seen in the automotive service industry today. These guys know their cars! While I'm sure they would rather work on the new Laxus, BMW, MB, or Audi and they work wonders with modifying those platforms, but they also worked on my 1992 Thunderbird Super Coupe, not an easy car to work on and particularly so when it's a midwest car with tendencies toward rusting.I would, and have, recomended these guys shop for anything you might need done to your car without reservation!

I take my Porsche and Audi there for maintenance that I can't (or won't) trust myself to do on my own. I believe that Brandon and his crew are very personable and trustworthy and seem genuinely concerned with doing things the right way.

As others have mentioned, stay away from Underground Autosports. Quality left that building when the previous co-owner Perry departed. Total nightmare experience that ended with my "completed" Trans Am catching fire in their parking lot and needed to be towed home. This was after almost a year in their shop. This shop belongs on the evening news for their terrible practices.

They ve worked on my car twice now and have done quality work at a fair price. Very responsive to my phone calls and flexible with scheduling. I ll take my car back again despite it being 45 minutes away
