Arrived about 12 hours into appointment window, loads not ready but has been assigned a trailer but have not started loading it yet. Guard was very nice good directions. Parked up, they have until 0400 to get load ready, so we will see how it goes. Will update when I get my load. Update load was ready several hours before drop dead time, night guard was extremely friendly. Would return

absolutely the worst place you could work for in the quad cities, ESPECIALLY THE MICRO LAB. I wouldn t even go if you re desperate. But if you decide to go STAY AWAY FROM OLIVIYA!!!!!!!!! Also if you breast feed they make you pump in bathrooms, my daughter caught E. coli from it. After MANY documents and concerns and drs notes I was told the bathroom was the only spot. One workers in particular will go out of her way to make sure she hates her life and yours as well. She talks about lighting that place on fire choking her boss, and purposely does shady stuff. They ll straight up set you up for failure and talk about you with you right there. And the only thing Monica will say is deal with it or put ear plugs in. I have like 20 pages of or written documents since I ve started and this place needs a huge ADUIT!!!!! In unexpected one too. GOODLUCK TO YOUR JOB!

I remember this Tyson. This is the Tyson where they always have a train blocking the entrance/exit doing some sort of train car swap on their forked tracks where it goes back and forth as it drops and hooks train cars yet never clears the way for trucks and other vehicles coming and going from this plant. Newcomers to this plant will think the train is going one way and almost done once they see one of the ends, yet it stops in place and then starts going the other way, and then stops and goes the other way again, and continues that back and forth movement for an unnecessary amount of time.

Beware the yard dog driver Rev!! I happened to arrive while they were experiencing a system issue and they could not check anyone out, there were approximately 15 trucks in front of me waiting to get out. I cleaned and dropped my empty, staged in front of my full load, which I had permission to do from security, as they were going to call me when their system came back online. The yard dog pulled up next to where I was parked and laid on his horn. I got out of my truck, and walked over to speak with him. Rev informed me that he needed the spot I was in and I had to move. I informed rev that I had permission from security to post up there while we waited for the system to come back online, and that there was nowhere else I could go, as there were already two rows of trucks staged, waiting to get out. He then spun the wheel as hard as he could, slammed on the gas, and took off, barely missing taking me out completely, the trailer he was pulling was inches from my face! Had I not back peddled he would have run me over, there s not a doubt in my mind that was his goal. I then disconnected and went back to the check in area to speak with security about what had just occurred, and to get a supervisor s name (Gabriel), who promised to tell Rev s supervisor . Come here at your own risk, they employ some really unstable people!!

Arrived on time for drop and hook. Tandems will need to be to the rear and trailer will be inspected at guard shack. Better to use automated trailer wash on site than pre-wash. Our load wasn't ready though and we were directed to overnight bobtail parking off grounds. NO FACILITIES including not one trash can to be found anywhere. There is a port-a-john hidden to the left of the office building ( fleet shop) within walking distance of parking. There is a major rail line next to overnight area and it is busy, but the trains goes by quickly. Note: if you stay overnight DO NOT park at the Shell station down the road, we were told that theft is rampant there. The staff is nice and directions are clear. But we did have to take our 10 hour break because our load wasn't done. The guard shack is decorated quite interestingly, a rock garden with gnomes and metal giant tulips. This reflects the all female guards " touch"as far as we saw which was a pleasant surprise. On a final note for you drivers that have CB's, the chatter is most friendly and you can tell that the regular drivers at this plant absolutely are professional and interested in doing the best job they can. Along with if the food is good at the cantina!

Very unprofessional towards drivers. Expect to be loaded 80,000 lbs and to go a few times on scale because they only shift load they don't take any weight out. And also they work with tql broker who abuse driver end their equipment. I was stuck for 3 days because they didn't want to take some weight or just take me from load.

The only reason I am giving four stars is for the girl at the guard shack. I would give five stars, but the yard guy had an attitude problem. The girl at the guard shack was very polite, professional, and good attitude on the other hand the yard guy he was a real JA he acted like I was his son or something by yelling. He s lucky I was in a good mood. I just let them be otherwise I would ve had to bring it to his attention that he don t need to be talking to me like that he needs to take some classes on communication terrible guy. I don t understand why Tyson puts up with them kind of people.

Friendly staff, already had my trailer loaded and ready to go. Open trailer doors and slide tandems to the back. For the wash bay. You must wear boots or close shoes.

A company that tries to stay open in a blizzard...need I say more? Money hungry. You'll make great money if you don't want to have a life, they say they hardly work Saturdays but really they work almost every Saturday. You don't get a regular shift you work till you're done so again if you want no life go to tyson's. Can't keep their bandsaws in proper working order, change the hours to let people have the ability to get out of there earlier, still work half the night. Maybe a call to OSHA will get their machines in properly working order. Lie to workers about a 6 hour Saturday to get you in...same hours. This place sucks. Stay away.

Absolutely horrible! We had to get a wash out which was fine since there was one on site but the first male night guard was unprofessional telling us we had to go back again because we went up too far without closing the doors. Our trailer was ready upon arrival and took forever to find since the trailers aren t organized and packed like sardines together. They didn t distribute the weight properly which put us 1,400 pounds over on the drives. Had to go pay $13 for a cat scale 10 miles away to get a ticket for the second female guard to give her supervisor showing what it was over on. Dropped the trailer and waited 3 hours for them to call after redistributing the pallets. Fully loaded trailer but at least it s legal now. The yard guy moving the trailers was nice and helped pull the trailer out for us and the female guard was polite and professional. Overall they are on the black list and we won t be returning. After reading other reviews it seems like this is a VERY common occurrence! We ended up spending 12 hours there.

Other than the guard at check in being somewhat new and inexperienced they unloaded me fairly fast. Seems to have enough room to maneuver in most places. Looks like more of a drop/hook operation. I was bringing in plastic bags for packing so needed to live unload to keep trailer. Overall not so bad.

I was very satisfied with my contact with the two Tyson employees namedNIESHA and Cait. They were both professional very informative even though I am seasoned with picking up at Tyson's they impressed me a lot with their knowledge. I was able to get in and out quicker and that is important to me as a driver. To me it's rare that employees smile and engaging conversation and they were completely the opposite they were engaging in conversation and let me know the best place to eat locally as well as the closest weight CAT scales and places where I can get to fuel

Pretty quick in and out. Load was ready a full day early. Nice staff and easy backing on the lots. Has O/N parking and a washout on site.

Overweight by 2300 lbs on gross waited over 24 hours to be told the load was ready yesterday because we were told to quit asking they would call us we were not the only driver in same circumstances. As well as this not being the 1st or 2nd but 3rd time this has happened to us personally. This is an ongoing issue with the loaders and lack of communication between the supervisors and guards totally ridiculous and that detention pay does not cover my time nor the load we were taken off of because of us not being able to be on time. Get it together Tyson this is not common practice DO BETTER

Believe the reviews. Supposed to be a drop and hook. Day and a 1/2 window for pickup. Received notification that trailer was ready at 2200, went to pick up the next day(few hours later) & BOLs NOT READY after dang near 10 hrs. But it s corporate America and big money what do you expect . Black girl at desk is kind of rude fyi, works the morning/afternoon shift

On behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ and his great Holy Spirit we wanted to say thank you to Tyson fresh meats for providing the food necessary for God to feed this nation. We're very thankful for the lady at the security and also for the yard dog who prepared our trailer for us without even having to ask. What an amazing group of men and women that come to this facility and work every single day to help feed this nation. Thank you every one of you from truck 63643 GG. You are amazing.

Easy check in at guard shack, and check out. Trailer wash on site. Do not pre wash your trailer before coming here. Guard was very nice, and treated us with respect.

If you pick the right time(usually evening to late night) you can be in n out quickly. The loaders know how to PROPERLY load a 40,000+ lbs. Security is efficient as well.

While the people are very kind, professional, and polite; this Tyson is in worse shape than most. It is currently several days behind schedule (anywhere from two to five) on all of its loads. The problems can only be attributed to simple poor planning by Tyson Corporate attendant to the launch of a new facility.

I just don t understand why they wait till the last minute of your 24 hour long appointment to have your load ready. If you got it ready at the beginning of the appointment like most places not named Tyson then the driver can start running. This making it easier on the driver and not having the risk of it getting to the customer late.

Check in with guard most slide tandems to rear open doors . Go to washout, YOU MUST Immediately turn left between trailers and scale and then right around fire hydrant. With tandems back hang right as far as you can along side scale and button hook watch your trailer clip the front line full of trailers . I did not do this, do to i drive a Pete and enjoy the look of it to not mess it up. was told by yard Hostler that next time I must do as instructed and not safely avoid all objects. i feel that safety should out rule yard flow due to the condition. But thats just me. Truck stop at ex10 off 88 Hillsdale IL.

This is a wholesale chicken plant. When drivers arrive they will check in at the guard shack then proceed to the washout dock where they will need to walk inside and pay $20 for a washout; you must have cash. You will then proceed to the drop trailers lot where you will drop your trailer then bobtail out of the facility. You cannot stay on property while waiting to be loaded. You may park outside the facility in a bobtail area or proceed to the nearest truck stop which is 6 miles away. Wait times may vary but typical wait time is approximately 6-8 hours if you're lucky. Better bring a lunch!!!

Guard was rude to Prime driver. Talking unprofessional and condescending bc they give us multiple numbers so we arent clear as to what number they want for pickup. She took it and kept calm, returning answers w yes sir.but i was disgusted at his behavior and reported him to our dispatch supervisor. Treat ppl how you'd want to be treated. There was no excuse for that way of talk. At least our load was ready so thats why you got 1 star.

Place is a dump. Don't ever send a hopper here unless you like sitting for hours on end. Most of the people don't speak English. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Takes well over 4 hrs a truck to load once your in the load out. Highly recommend avoiding this place if at all possible. One positive thing is they have a great cafeteria with good food. You will most likely be eating a meal or two here while you wait to get loaded.
