My brake caliper got stuck on my drive and after searching on Google, I found this place. Customer service was fantastic and they were able to get my issue fixed within a couple of hours (and for a decent price too!) My trip was saved and I am so grateful they were able to help me in my time of need.

If you're looking to pay for a shop to do a job so that you can go home and actually do it yourself then this is an excellent place to bring your car. Brought my car in with a list of 5 things I requested to do, they did 2 of these 5 things, one of which was replacing the valve cover gasket. They removed the old gasket but did not reinstall a new one. This led to large amounts of oil pooling in my spark plug wells and caused my engine to misfire. Of the other 3 things I asked them to do they provided no explanation as to why those weren't done aside from "Probably needs to be replaced." Yeah that's why I brought it to you.

My daughter had an issue with her car and brought it in to get fixed, well when it was said to be finished they didn't even fix it properly, and what they did touch was slapped together. Now she has to spend more money on her car to try to get the problem fixed the second time.My daughter also has called and left messages etc but her calls were never returned.I don't know what's going on but we won't be returning here.This world is expensive enough then to have to pay for the same problem twice. I wish people would actually take pride in their work and know people are expecting it to be done right when it's said to be done.

This guy was born to be a mechanic. He doesn't take breaks he does everything himself. Never told me to fix something that didn't need to be done. I won't go somewhere else.

John is great! He does quality work and he doesn't over charge. He takes his time explaining what the issue is, what caused it and how to fix it. I won't go any where else and recommend him over and over.

He has had my car at his shop since last Friday 11/10/2023and I still haven't got my car back and today is Tuesday 11/14/2023 he keeps having excuses as to why my car isn't done and all it needs is new fuel injectors my battery charged and new oil and a filterService: BatteryService: Battery

This place is fantastic. I described problem my car was having to owner and he told me exactly what was wrong with it and how much it would cost to fix it. Outstanding that I was able to drive in at 3 PM and car ready at 4:15. No sitting around half the day or having to go in early. They schedule appointments rather than just drop it off for the day. Fixed perfect and cost was very reasonable. When they say Usav they truly mean it. I'd recommend this auto shop to anybody. If in or near Herrin and need car repair this is THE place to go.

We put our elderly family members car in 3 months ago and we called every week to check on it and this guy didn't even try to work on it but he did pay the tow bill to take it somewhere else.

It isn't hard to find a mechanic that CAN do good work. It is VERY hard to find a mechanic that consistently does great work. I do most of the work on my own vehicles, so I don't trust lot of mechanics. I have full confidence in Jon at Usav with every single problem on every vehicle I've brought him. I am constantly recommending friends and customers to him. If you don't want a padded bill, if you want to be told exactly what is wrong and feel comfortable in the work being done on your vehicle you need to come here. Professional, friendly, a great place reasonably priced with the best in providing high quality service. They're not out to get you and won't give you what you won't or don't need. An honest place, the best service and best cost with a great respect to their customers. My place I've returned to for anything my car. You won't be disappointed in this place.

Got my vehicle in pretty quick. Does very good service at a very reasonable price. Worked on my VW TDI when other shops didn't want to mess with it. Shows you the parts that were replaced. Very honest.Will definitely be going back!

It's quality controlled by one man doing all of the work at a reasonable price. So, you can expect the same quality every time. The owner is transparent and gives you all parts as proof that they needed the work provided. He's a very knowledgeable and nice fella!

John is the best. Honesty, is the best ingredient for great business. Excellent customer service and unmatched professionalism. Do I have to say anything else. I choose to take all my vehicles to Usav and I higly recommend it.

The mechanic who works there is a great guy doesn't give you b.s. when it come to your vehicle and offers cheaper and better services than roughly about 90% of other shops around

He does his work so cheap I thought he would do a bad job. But then he didn't. He did an amazing job and took the time to explain everything he did and why. Addressed every question with a competency that was very impressive. I will take all my vehicles to him in the future
