Just left from B & G Auto Repair, and can we say the service was out of this world. Traveling back home to Michigan from our thanksgiving break and the windshield wiper went out. This amazing shop only ones open on a Sunday, was able to drive and get us a part and still fix it and a timely matter for us to get back on the road. You guys are amazing thank you.

4 get the rest!! B & G is the best! If you want expertise and great customer service look no further!! They know what they are doing when it comes to rust removal and painting. The car looks show room ready!! I can t thank B & G enough. The work was done in a timely manner. They are excellent and highly recommended!!

Don t get your car fixed from them and don t buy a car from them it s been about 4 years I dealt with alverdis and it started with my timing chain I brought brand new parts they worked on that next thing you know I need a new engine, talked to him about it he tried to tell me he can give me a new engine for 6k I chose to get a Impala from him instead and traded my brand new truck that at first he told me was worth 1500 of the deposit but then let my suv get destroyed in the rain with all my kids stuff in it all my purses everything was worth a lot of money then change it to it being worth 500 after he caused the damages to my suv I was paying on a car ( impala) that was worth 5k off back n to find out he upped the price of it but luckily when I got into a accident they paid it off I went back to him for my Kia it worked well but the thing about it is that he switched up the numbers, I missed two months and I sent him 800 for the two months I missed but he tried to tell me I owed over a stack how when I paid faithfully each month since I got it we agreed to monthly payments and he started coming up with late fees after .communication was bad as hell come the next month after I paid the 800$ my car get towed for no reason when I paid faithfully the whole year just for him to swear I missed 90days and I got receipts what make it worse I said forget the car I want my stuff out the car they want to charge me to get my stuff out and bring them the keys funny right moral of the story is don t go to them for no car all they want is money literally and god don t like ugly sir

I helped my friend select B&G Auto to do rust remediation, fender repair, and painting on her 1998 Lincoln Town Car. I read the company reviews before we made our decision. I thought B&G s responses to some criticisms were credible and rational. We decided to give them a try and I am very happy we did. It was a very pleasant experience. A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!! The staff was friendly and professional, and the owner was very accessible. The finished product was all I had hoped for. The car now looks AMAZING! The work was completed as scheduled and I will certainly be doing more business with B&G Auto!

They are thieves, they straight up stolen 15 hundred dollars from me, the secretary at the front desk, the owner and the workers are in on it. And they're very bad at lying . My Yukon has a toggle switch on the dash board that was there before I bought it, I didn't know how it worked, I left it on and it drained my battery so I took it to BG AUTO and the owner right out the gate said 1,500 with out even looking at the truck and they supposedly charge 100$ a hour for electrical work but the owner automatically says 1,500. They keep my truck two weeks didn't touch it, call me to come pick it up, one day later I was out with my family having fun we come back to the truck it wouldn't start now we're stuck. Next day I take my truck back to BG AUTO they printed out a piece of paper telling me to just turn the toggle switch off because it drains your battery. They knew that before looking at it because I told them to check that first thing they all played a part in this scam the whole crew. I have the piece of paper they've given me and the receipt for 1,500 for them to tell me to just flip the switch off. Can someone please help me get my money back. Or at least stop these people they're heartless without morals they shouldn't be considered a business just horrible nasty people.Service: Electrical repair

I called here the day before Easter right before they closed. I was panicked because my car was pouring power steering flood I am not from here I live 6 hours away when we talked they quoted me 440 to replace the part w a new one and I agreed. I drove up there still panicked the had the part I thought was messed up delivered but when they looked at it it didn't need to be replaced just a hose needed to be put back on. I was only charged a fraction barley anything. They are honest people and in today's day and age it's rare I would 100% recommend them everyone was friendly. The entire staff was awesome.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Worst experience in my life, gave them my car and my money. spent 2000 in rentals because they won t even start working on my car. It s been three weeks and they haven t even reached out in the slightest way. Every time they give me a due date they push it back another week. At this point they re just taking money to use on other people vehicles because there is noooo way it takes three weeks to start a job. Don t even get me started on how bad they are at answering phones.

I gave this company 3 stars because of how quick and efficient their work is. The only reason that I didn't give them one star was because of this quick and efficient work ethic. I would have given them one star because of the unsanitary and unkept conditions of the entire building. For starters, the building is far in the back area where it seems a bit sketchy, as if someone might get hurt and no one would know about it. Then, the chairs and floor are so nasty inside of the waiting area, that I am quite uncomfortable when I have to sit in there and wait for my car to get prepared. I also gave them three stars because they are the only ones that are actually open and stay fully staffed. There are many auto repair shops around my house, but this is the only one that is consistent with their workers and their times.

Went to have my power Steering worked on just to find out it was more to my problem. B&G Auto repair told me what was wrong, what caused the issue, gave me a great repair price, and got the work done in a timely fashion. I was extremely pleased with the price and quality of work that I had them repair another problem. I am very satisfied and recommend everyone here for service. I rather do a little traveling to have my car fix right the first time, instead of an alley mechanics patch work!!!!

Highly don t recommend! I came for a USED battery and they called me and said it would be $280 and then called me days later to say my car was done but they did not tell me they were going to put a new alternator too which made the ending price $730!! No one called me and said my alternator was broken too they just added the part and the pricing is ridiculous for a Jeep Patriot. Very unprofessional and expensive. I can t help but feel ripped off but it s okay I WILL NEVER RETURN TO GET ANY WORK THERE AGAIN! Also don t be fooled by any voice on the phone cause all the workers look like CRACKHEADS Probably areService: General repairs & maintenance

Visiting this shop was both a blessing and an awesome experience. My son's car was having brake issues and I needed a shop after 6 pm. I googled shops in my area and found this one. Verdy and his team agreed to see me and take a look at the car. While talking to him, I explained that my own car was also having issues. He took care of both of them in less a week and below the costs that I had anticipated. I could not be happier. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for fast and reliable service.

Received amazing service. Car was making a loud noise, brought it in and the mechanics spotted the issue immediately. I was able to get in what my opinion was a fair quote and my car was ready sooner than I expected. Overall I was more than satisfied with my service my car sounds great and rides smooth. I'll definitely be returning for more work needed.

Finally I found a trustworthy mechanic. I'm beyond ecstatic that I came across this place. My car was having issues Saturday night and I was so concerned that I wouldn't find a place opened on Sunday so that I can have my car back for work on Monday. Low and behold I found this hidden gem. When I brought my car in, the owner Verdy was very accommodating. He was very straight to the point and listened to all of my concerns. The problem was fixed and anything he was not sure of he actually researched to give me a legit answer (unlike mechanics that will make up answers to pacify their customers). Simply put, he was thorough. The most important aspect was the cost which was very reasonable. He offers a warranty on the repair, has a loyalty program for oil changes and I can even get my license plate sticker there. I will be bringing my car here from now for any and everything.

waited a while to write a review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't speaking too soon. New in the area and was nervous bringing my car to someone I had no clue how they were. Brought my crv in for check engine and brake issues and now my car is running great. Very honest and thorough. Glad I found a new mechanic if I ever have issues. Will recommend

Went there to get my steering shaft replaced, and was satisfied with the service I received with that part. While getting in my car to leave I noticed my ESC (Electronic Stability Control) light came on, I was very confused as it wasn't on when I initially took it in. I contacted the owner Mr. Verdi, and made him aware of the situation, he told me to bring my car back the next day (Sunday)so he can have a look. While looking at my car it was discovered the brake sensor was snapped and he took full responsibility for the mechanics mistake, no questions asked, he purchased the piece and had it put on. My issue was resolved and I am a happy camper. I was looking to give a 4.5 because of this but as I see the rating system is measured it while stars, I felt it was more adequate to give them a 5 instead of 4, as the good outweighed the bad. Thank you sir.

Let me first state that I am not into writing reviews but felt strongly compelled to do so due to the car situation we are still experiencing for almost 2 months now. We have called a few times last week and no call back. I have had good experiences in the past years on 2 cars and have even made referrals that turned out good. When it is time to pay up they will call until you are reached to get paid and pick the car up. (Please note that the only time calls were not answered was b/c we were at work) However with the current car situation, we have been calling and calling and texting about the car and all we get is different dates of when the car will be ready or no call back or that the owner is out of town on several occasions (almost 2 months now). We hardly ever speak to Verde at all but his 2 assistants that are not mechanics, really, smh. The car had to be returned several times and all towing fees were paid by us and our insurance even dropped the road side assistance service due to the repeat towing. Verde never offered to pay due or help with any fees and we have been ok with that but still. Because it is still under warranty it has been returned all times but sadly not working properly. We have been patient and are now compelled to contact the BBB, FTC, Gov consumer complaints and any other agency and or lawyer if need be. I will be more than happy to edit this rating once this situation is rectified. I hate that Black owned businesses have to be this way. I really did not want to have to even do this review but for almost 2 months of getting bogus run arounds of no call backs and excuses,come on Verde. I could say way more but this is long enough. We want our car back up and running and want the truth and to speak to the owner, the one who issues the bill and collects the money, not non mechanics who understandably have no real answers.All the while we have been way nice in this situation, Verde and his staff know this,whereas anyone else would have been blown up and rightfully so.

B and G Auto is a scam! They list the wrong address on their website on purpose (they are NOT located in South Holland). They also push Easypay to customers with a 134% interest rate, in violation of Illinois 36% cap. And they funnel this money through their shell company Freeman Industries Inc., which is the fake company they use to collect your money and keep B and G Auto Center name clean, BUT THEY ARE THE SAME COMPANY!!! They are fraudulent and a predatory lender working in violation of Illinois state predatory lending act, signed by Governor Pritzker in 2021.

I always have a wonderful experience at B&G Auto Repair. They are very efficient, inexpensive and they do not hold your car. Meaning they get straight to work and get the job done. On top of that every one at the shop provide great customer service experience.

This is THE best repair shop I have ever patronized. When my car broke down on the side of the road B&G arranged for my tow. They explained every repair my car needed in layman's terms. They are reasonably priced and I was contacted by the owner to answer a question I had.

Did a horrible job on my aunts car. Messed up the starter to her car and she asked them to look at it. They said they would tow the car and look at it. Not only did they charge her for the tow after the fact, the mechanic wasn t even there to look at it but they still charged her the inspection fee. The job they did on her ball joint wasn t even done correctly. They charged 1500 for work when her car was more messed up than when she originally bought it in. Nothing but crooks here.

They are a rip-off, they would give you one price before service is performed on your vehicle then change it once service is completed, a higher amount. Just giving a head-ups, but they my just work for you try them at your own risk as I did. Poor service and junk

REVIEWER: JOHN H. MOOREVeridy, owner of B & G Auto Service, started to service my 1998 Chevy Blazer in May 2009. The vehicle mileage was 281,000. The Blazer's mileage is presently 332,000 miles. The service work performed by B & G Auto has included problems associated with "check engine light" and: wheel bearings, transmission, steering gear, ball joints, air conditioning and catalytic converter.The reasons that I have continued to have my vehicle serviced at B & G Auto: . The technicians are knowledable; . An explanation of the repairs and the charge was provided prior to the work being done; . I have found that the cost for the repair work is competitive with other repair facilities.I feel that it has been more economical for me to have my vehicle repaired at B & G Auto than to purchase a new car.

They robed me. Just went to enquire what's wrong with my vehicle they never said they gonna charge $45 just to see the vehicle and gave me very high price to fix the vehicle. They threatened me and took 45$ from me just to see the vehicle and never ever go here again .. such a useless place just build to rob people money .

Horrible customer service. They ve recently moved. The guy who gave me the address is extremely rude. I m asking him questions and he talking over me when I m telling him what I see because I don t see a B&G sign. It s 4 repair shops I m just trying to get to the right one. After that he hung up. Then called me back and I m still trying to tell him what I see. After getting frustrated with the 3 phone conversations I decided to take my car elsewhere. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

Never got a chance to be served I wanted an oil changed they said they didn't do them anymore it was petty. I had other work to be done on my car also. Went somewhere else. Also I had three others in my family who needed work their cars too. Sorry never got the chance.
