Car X in Hanover Park has really upped its game new management new techs all super knowledgeable came in nervous left a lifetime customer been 2 weeks now waited to see if repairs were done well and no issues at all with my engine replacement!!! Love this place come give this place a second chance if you had a bad experience and if you haven t been here before it s the perfect time to start they do everything from tires and oil to full engines and transmissions!!!Thank you Car X!!

I called and got in right away during the frigid cold snap last week. I was able to get a new battery and get in and out quickly. Jose was very helpful even with all that was going on (no heat in the garage and broken pipe in the washroom). Definitely recommend!

Amazing service, they were all ready to close. After I pulled in asking for help. Luis turned on the lights and went straight to helping me. I can not say how much I appreciate it. We all need help sometimes at the last minute so glad I can to Carx Hanover Park tire shop. Thank you again Luis!!

Very rude and unprofessional staff today around 1 PM. I visited their location to fix my car tire. The guy on service desk told me that he cannot fix my car tire because of wrinkles. he said if I wanna fix the tire, then I should go to discount tire or if I wanna replace the price is 130 each. He was very dismissive of me. When I went to a different place they Repaired the same tire that he refused to touch. I would never recommend this to anyone even if they had a brand new car and just wanted routine maintenance.

Came in today to get two front tires replaced and an oil change with my Dad. Jose was very kind and helped us over the phone and in person. Jose answered all of our questions and was very assuring that that the car was in good hands. My Dad and I really appreciated his help. Thank you!

Total scam. Shop was closed for a long time and thought I would give it a try. Printed $29.99 coupon for conventional oil change and tire rotation. Received confirmation message to my phone. Showed up at the shop and the attendant said I didn't have an appointment. Then kept trying to upsell me to full synthetic. Showed him the coupon and he said ok. Put everything in the system then said it would be $54. I said how did it go from $29.99 to $54. He said that I came in with only 4qt of oil and he was putting in 5qt. The coupon says 5qt of oil. So I know he is just trying to scam me. $24 for taxes and his pocket. I will NEVER go back here again. I hope it closes for good now.

Called for an appointment the guy that answered was great and was able to answer my questions! brought my truck for oil change the guys did and amazing job! definitely my go to place from now on! prices are reasonable as well

This happened years ago and I didn t know this forum existed. Otherwise I would have used it. I went to Car X on Irving Park just west of Barrington Rd in Hanover Park for an oil change. The kindly elder gentleman talks me into purchasing a 3 oil change package for $109 (like I said, this was years ago) instead of the $55 for a single oil change. One oil change done and I have two remaining. A couple months later, I return to get an oil change. I show the counter guy my paid for receipt and he says fine but there is a $39.99 surcharge on each of the next two. I start arguing with him. I m fully paid. You can t just add a surcharge. He wouldn t budge. The gentleman who helped me on the last visit was not there that day. I needed an oil change so I told him that I would surrender my receipt if they did an oil change even though I would be shafted out of my 3rd one. Everytime I drive by, I think of how they did not honor my purchase. Not a good way to run a business by selling a product and then not delivering. I called and wrote Car X corporate and not surprisingly, never heard back.

This guys are complete beginners. I came with tire that were losing air and I told them it may be a valve. They checked the tire and didn t find anything but my sensor was showing low pressure so they decided to calibrate it took 100$ from me and didn t help me at all. The next day I see same issue again and I went to a different shop and I was damn right it was tire valve that was losing air and I successfully changed it for 20$. DO NOT RECOMMEND at all if that issue was a real issue for them imagine what they can do to your car if it would need some real repair work. Stay safe out there folks!

Great service, they fit me in the same day for wheels alignment, when it turned out I need to change the tires as well, they waited for me until I brought my tires from my house and they stayed afterhours to do the job! I never worry about getting the best information needed on what needs to be fixed and this time wasn t any different. Mike was amazing to work with regarding everything that needed to be fixed to make sure my car was running its best. He took the time to explain and breakdown everything being done and shows he actually cares about his customers. My dad has actually been coming here & that s how I found out about this location. Excellent customer service, especially by Luis. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of right away & they treat all their customers with the same care and respect whether they re new customers or returning customers. I arrived at the facility and was greeted. The place is nice and clean. I had a few questions about my car and both guys I spoke to were very knowledgeable. Javier Garcia was especially helpful. I like that they send you a report via text to let you know any issues going on with your car. I recommend this place for any of your car needs. I truly appreciate the help.Service: Oil change

I ve tried at least 8 different shops in the area that would take care of my car and for whatever weird reason they wouldn t do what I would ask. Javier and his team here do a great job on my cars with no hesitations, very personable, and always take care of my cars. Great place to be and I definitely plan on coming back here going forward as they always exceed expectations. I ve been here around 5-6 times with both of my cars just in the past month and every time I have came, I left feeling better than how I felt pulling in. 6/5 stars. Great service.

Javier was great. Had a very high estimate from another company and he worked with me and my budget. Cant say enough good things about the service and repairs. Their hourly rate is one of the lowest around. Came in for an alignment without an alignment. Luis took car of the car in under 45 min. Great price, lower than other shops. The Benz runs smooth now. Highly recommend.

Zeke, the new manager, was so helpful and welcoming. I had visited this car X location for the first time today, I have recently moved and was very nervous to go to a new auto repair shop for a variety of reasons! He proved his trustworthiness, dependability, and competence through our conversation and also the work that him and his team did on my car. I sent my car to car X to Repair on April 26 with the squealing noise issue and the manager J charged me $1700 to repair. After one month, as of May 25, my car was not fixed at all, the same issue happen again and for safety reasons I cannot drive my car. I tried reach out several times to manager J but he said they have no capability to fix the issue and they refused to issue me a full refund, as a first time Car X customer, I am completely unsatisfied with this result and I trying to resolve this issue with him, however, he refused, all he told me is to reach out to their corporate office and talk to their customer service. I ended up to call several times at their corporate office and all went directly to voicemail. What a scam place and what a horrible experience. Took my money, keep in your pocket without fixing my car? I have no car to drive to work and I lost my time and my money. Car X, 1655 Irving park road, Hanover park, I need my money back!!! Guys, stay away from this place!!!!
