They did an amazing job. They got me the best deal for my tires and alignment and I am going back to have some more work done on my car. They won t try and sell you something you don t need and they tell you if you have more time on a part or not. I am very impressed with this company and they have my business anytime I need something. Thank you everyone at CarX Tire&Auto

I went here to get a wheel alignment for 89 dollars as they advertised. Now my vehicle is fairly new(2020) with less than 80k miles. After they look at it they said that I needed new struts and shocks. Took it to 2 other privately owned shops and they both said they were perfectly fine.....along with the dealer diagnostic which I just had done the previous week. I feel they were just trying to turn 100 into 1400 real quick.UPDATETook it back to the dealership the next day and they did the wheel alignment with no issue at all. Also said that my shocks and struts are perfectly fine and it is very likely that this shop was just trying to make some extra money because they don't make much of a profit off of just a wheel alignment.UpdateThanks for getting back with me 2 weeks later. I'm sorry I never received any video showing me anything. They just gave me a paper saying shocks and struts are bad and it cost 1500 for new ones. I went 2 other places and they said shocks and struts were fine and I've had no issues at all since. My vehicle is less than 5 years old and definitely shouldn't have an issue like that already

Adriana\The Guys!I'm an old/returning customer to the Granite City store. Very glad to see a change of staff at this store! Wow-whatta difference Adriana has made after just two returning visits! My mind is at peace again having someone who cares enough to do a good job on my auto!I look forward to going back to this store for most of my non-dealer car needs!Good job Adriana & Guys!

If you want to get robbed blind this is the spot they tried to charge over $1000 to replace a bolt. I brought my truck in because of grinding to the point I could not break. I initially thought it was a back caliper. I took it in the shop to get a second opinion and I didn t feel like doing it myself.They told me the back caliper need to be replaced and the calipers lines was twisted and those needed to be replaced as well. They also tried to say I need a new tire I had no issues with prior and tried to charge me over $1000. I told them I did not want the tire changed they said just to change caliper and the twisted line it will be $763 with out warranty. After seeing that the caliper was only $65 and this job only took a couple hours I just took my truck back.I ended up changing the caliper myself seen there was no twisted lines anywhere and after changing the caliper I still had the same issue.After further investigation I noticed the issue was coming from the front passenger side. I seen that a bolt had fell out the front caliper which caused it be loose and grind on the rim when i brake. After replacing the bolt the issue immediately stopped.Not only did they make a issue up they never told me the actual cause of the problem. They tried to initially charge me $1000 just to change a bolt. If you want to be robbed for your hard working money come here. I will be going to corporate.

Other than taking longer than originally quoted. They did an awesome job. Got the tires I needed in a short time. And got everything changed out and made sure everything was good to go and safe. They were all friendly and had great attitudes. Very helpful. If I lived there, they'd have another full time customer.

Whet to car X at 5 o'clock? They close at 530 and I had a slow leak in my tire. They said all their technicians are gone. What kind of technician do you need to repair a tire? Lost me as a customer bot over $1200 with tires. In that place, never going back there again.

Derrick and Sean were very kind to me upon arrival and listening to my concerns about my vehicle. They got my vehicle done the same day I dropped it off and the cost was reasonable for what I had done to it. I want to thank them and anyone else involved in making my vehicle safe to drive. After popping a tire on a Friday night, CarX was able to get me in first thing the next day to get a new set of tires. I couldn t have had a better experience, and Derrick was one of the friendliest individuals I ve ever worked with in the customer service industry. Derrick gave excellent customer service as well as the mechanics. He made sure all was working properly the next day and was upfront on issues and cost. Went in the day before Easter with a busted tire. I went in knowing that my tires were old so I decide to just replace all 4 of them at the same time. The pricing was reasonable and comparable with 4 tires coming in at just under $1k with a 2 year warranty. They provided financing options as well with 6 months no interest which is nice. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I was in and out with my new tires in a little over an hour. Nothing bad to say about this shop, I'll definitely consider it in the future for my car repair needs!Service: Auto tire replacement

I've been trusting Derrick and his team at the Granite location for almost 3 years. My best compliment is Derrick is honest. He and his team do what they're great at; and have told me a few times that my car troubles are outside of their scope & should take to a specialist. They didn't "experiment" and cost me hundreds before telling me. He was just straight-up.I've never been disappointed in the 20+ visits over the years for my 3 cars.

No other shops in Granite City compare to Car-X. Period. Derrick & his staff always make sure my car is SAFE to drive (unlike other shops I've been to in GC). They explain everything thoroughly. The service is always complete in a timely manner. The professionalism & positive attitudes at Car-X led me to believe that they really care about their customers. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I definitely would.

Went to them to quote me (verbal) on repair of exhaust and broken engine mounts. I told Derrick the next day I would repair mounts myself and just give me a written estimate for exhaust work. He said they don't do that. I've never heard of that before by any repair shop. Written estimates are protection for consumers against " surprise" added costs. I don't trust repair shops that do this. Beware

The manager, Derrick, and his team are consistently professional and pleasant. They checked my battery and determined there was no need for replacement. Derrick and his guys are great. Took my vehicle in to get new tires and they found some items that were not safe to continue driving the vehicle. The took care of dealing with the Fleet maintenance authorization and got me all fixed up!! I went in here this morning in tears. Two engine warning lights on, no appointment. Derrick and the other employee (David?) took a look underneath my vehicle and pointed out a transmission leak. Advised me to go to dealership. Topped off my empty oil for no charge. They're honest and you won't leave there more upset or stressed than when you came in. Great customer service as well as honest explanation of the issues.Services: Transmission, Oil change

Excellent service!!!! Following a holiday weekend they were the only ones able to get me in to get my car fixed and even stayed late on a Saturday to complete the work!! The manager Derrick is so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly!!!! Sean was super helpful and knowledgeable and friendly as well!! Would highly recommend them for anything!
