The most honest shop there is. Went here for a 2nd opinion when 1st shop wanted $7k to fix my Hyundai Entourage. Eric was able to identify and fix the problem for 7% of the 1st quote.Also felt honored that my mini-van was being fixed along side some elite cars that I could never afford.Would highly recommend if you want your car fixed and for the price you should be charged.Definitely only taking my cars here to be repaired or maintained.Thank you Eric and team.

Eric and his team can quickly diagnose Pretty much any vehicle quickly and for a very fair price. I have been in the car for a long time and it s hard to find a trusted mechanic, Anytime we get a European or something that has been modified somehow are able to get an efficient solution to fix our problems! They are definitely our go to mechanics in the area. I refer all of my friends and family through them.! Keep up the good work

I have been a long time customer of Herbst high performance. I will forever be a customer. I have had multiple vehicles serviced here and have never had a problem. The employees are well educated and courteous. The work is always done well and always taken care of in a timely manner. All work is explained and outlined before they begin. And I ve never been over charged or feel as if they re over priced. It s worth every penny for a great job well done. Also, Eric is the best mechanic around. We've brought multiple vehicles to Eric. We know the work will be done RIGHT. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust nowadays, especially one who won't try and take advantage of you. Eric and the guys at HHP make sure every aspect is covered, and they take the time to explain it all. We won't take our vehicles anywhere else.

100% recommend it, they are super professional the staff is really friendly and the work they have done to my car is excellent, they have changed and entire engine, changed a bunch of things and my car feels like brand new. Really good and professional job

Eric is fantastic to work with. Highly recommend this shop. Truly honest, fair pricing, very accommodating, man of his words. Not many shops will offer this type of service. Most are just out for the $$$This will be my second vehicle here in the last 3 months and I ve already recommended family and friends to do business here for their repair needs. Will for sure be back here for any future auto repairs.

First of all went there because I m new to the neighborhood. I had to bring my pick up truck garage kept in to get some bolts tighten and torque down and that. A h**** immediately asked me in front of his sales rep tool person. What year is my truck and I told him and he immediately said it was a rust bucket and didn t even come out to look at the condition of my truck. The owner or whoever he was with a complete jerk I just turned around and left and then when I look outside, he s got vehicles laying around in his parking lot that are way older than my truck. No big deal. If he doesn t want my business, he doesn t want my business. I got it done elsewhere. It just upset me so bad I had to write a review he will never get any business of mine and I recommend anyone that goes to this place take your money else where.

I ve taken all 4 of my families cars to Herbst for over 6 yrs. This was prior to us moving out to Arizona in July of 2021. Eric is a very talented & knowledgeable mechanic. He s always been fair, honest and upfront with the services that need to be performed. His quotes have always been thorough and the service has been done in a timely fashion. His work speaks for itself and you will realize that after using his services. The 4.9 rating from his customers is a pretty good indication as well.Unfortunately, our move to AZ has put me on another search for a good local mechanic. I just brought one of our cars in to a new mechanic yesterday. I won t get into details, but this is the 3rd mechanic we ve tried in the two years since we ve been out here and that s exactly why I m writing this review You don t truly appreciate the value of a good, honest mechanic until you no longer have one. I ve had nothing but positive experiences with Herbst High Performance and I highly recommend trying them out.BTW I have 2 families that I recommended to Herbst years ago and they continue to use him today. Also, my Employer from Elgin continues to bring their vehicles there as well (25 miles away).

I don't trust anyone else with my vehicles. Eric and the team can take care of anything automotive. Whenever I stop by, there's always high-end cars being serviced. I doubt Bentley and Ferrari owners would take their cars to someone they didn't find reliable!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Eric, an experienced mechanic at Herbst High Performance. From the moment I met him, I could tell that he was knowledgeable and capable. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my car and provided me with a detailed explanation of the repair process. He was able to fix the problem quickly and efficiently, and also provide me with some advice about general maintenance. I was very impressed with the quality of his workmanship, as he took the time to explain everything to me in detail. He also took the time to answer any questions I had, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience working with Eric/Team and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and reliable mechanic.

Eric and the boys have worked on my Maserati Ghibli, Mercedes E350, and now our Mercedes SL550. Every time the things that needed to be done were done professionally and in a timely manner. I have NEVER had to bring a car back because something was done incorrectly. I STRONGLY recommend Eric and his team for any of your auto needs. I've given Eric my trust, which is easy given his line of work. That said, he's work on two of my 911 turbos.. the guy is a mechanical genius when it comes to sorting out the bugs, setting up suspension, and does what he says he's going to do without you feeling taken advantage of... I should comment that I live a good 45 min away from the shop and go out of my way to have them work on my cars b/c trust means that much to me. My 2008 VW GTI was in bad shape after 250k of back and forth to work. Eric performed a complete once over and determined on my first visit approximately $4800.00 to get her up to par with complete suspension, engine tune up,belts and way more than I can list. I couldn t have been happier!! Quick turnaround and WAY better service and prices than dealer I had been using !(I m not a mechanic).On 04-26-23 My not so smart self went to a quick lube for an oil change then, walked out with a stripped oil plug!! Which the lube shops denies!!! Brought to Herbst got new oil pan, oil cooler with hoses!!! My car purrs like never before!! My 2008 Mercedes S550 needed a front drive shaft, they ended up breaking my oil pan, more$$, took weeks for that part to come. They don t call you and update you about your service or prices, it s kind of dishonest. A month later, the drive shaft noise came back, and I was out of thousands. The bill was outrageous. If you look at the parking lot, there s dozens of foreign vehicles just sitting waiting for service, your choice . I wouldn t get a oil change here. This was during pandemic and they were relatively new shop so maybe they are better now, me personally I can t afford to find out if that s true

Great value. Honest. Experienced on Mercedes-Benz maintenance and specific performance software to get the job done right. After referral from a meticulous friend, I finally stopped taking my 2005 to the dealership. I trust and highly recommended Eric and the experts at Herbst High Performance. I was referred Eric and his shop by a serious Porsche enthusiast very glad he made the introduction as they now are my go to shop, even though they are ~40 miles away! Eric and his team are extremely knowledgeable, take pride in their craft and the work, and provide great communication. Facing a number of health issues myself, I know first hand the importance of having a good doctor you can trust. I also know the necessity there is in having a qualified mechanic one can trust. Especially if you value your car as I do. Eric and his crew over at Herbst High Performance are just that. They are straight shooters, who advise you as to what you need done, then get it done. All at a fair, competitive price. Unlike the dealers and most Independent shops they are not reluctant to thoroughly explain your car's situation to you and see you through the repair process. Been going to Eric for over eight years whether it's a Porsche Cayenne or a Pontiac Vibe. It's hard to find a great mechanic, but Herbst and his boys are the best. Great communication throughout process and very fast service. Easy to work with. Very honest and will tell you exactly what the car needs with a written quote/write-up too. Also gives options on parts (good, better, best). Does amazing alignments now as well and has free loaner if needed! One stop shop!! Much love.
