What a PHENOMENAL seamless experience, once on-site for #expresspickup! In my thirty-six years of life and 4 other experiences buying cars this was one of the best. Israel Delgado was our salesman and was incredible, efficient, expedient and #topnotch customer service from start to end. They sent us a Lyft pickup from Lakeview, Chicago to Glencoe, absolutely amazing customer service! Thank you!

I was fortunate enough to work with Brynn who definitely knew their stuff. They were friendly and professional and up-front with what I could expect to receive for my car. (I was also realistic.). The process was fast all around with everyone being friendly and competent. It's not my first time selling a car to this Carmax and since I had such a good experience a few years ago, I came back. 10/10 would recommend!!

Selling my car was simple and quick. Brynn got me a quote quickly and answered my questions that day and on a follow-up call. When I came in to sell the car, I was also immediately and competently taken care of. My only constructive criticism is that I would have liked to have had the business office team explain their process and the expected amount of time when I initiated the sale, as it took longer than I expected.

It was very simple all I needed was my car title and ID to sell my car. They made me an offer in 45 minutes, I accepted offer and got a check on the spot. I felt I got a fair amount of money in the amount of $550 for my Nissan Sentra 2013 which was not running with transmission problems

I came before my appointment and they got me in early!. Everything went pretty smoothly and fast. The salesman I had was generally great! The only reason I put 4 (wish I could put 4.5) was because when I said no to warranty I was made to feel sorta ashamed. I get it needs to be offered but it is ultimately buyers choice and that feeling was uncomfortable and made the experience not a 5 star review.

Let's try this for a second maybe a third time. My review keeps disappearing hmmm.Okay so Jerry is the best salesman IMO second to none. We have dealt with him on multiple occasions and he is also helpful with whatever we ask.The building itself is nice and clean with a good location right near the highway. Now some of the other employees are just rude and sit on a computer pretending to work. we bought our F150 recently from this location and while Jerry was easy to work with some of the other interactions were ridiculous. I had my kids with me also and not gonna talk about Covid restrictions but it was not a positive time here. I will recommend Jerry but that's it for this spot. If my review disappears again then CarMax doesn't like to hear honest unfiltered reviews.

We purchased 2 cars through Rod over the last 4 months and have nothing but positive things to say about our salesperson, Rod and the manager, Nathan. Rod and Nathan made what is often a stressful, time-consuming process easy, straightforward and dare-I-say... enjoyable?We knew exactly what we wanted for each vehicle, and Rod helped us locate and get them shipped to the Glencoe store so we could test drive them before purchasing. We never felt pressured into buy, and that was a first for us at a dealership. Everyone we came in contact with during the processes was incredibly nice and helpful.We will be back to the Glencoe CarMax the next time we need to purchase a car. Thank you, Rod!!

Good experience. My sales consultant was helpful and down to earth. He made the process quite easy. I had a plan and knew mostly what I wanted. I do wish he would have questioned me more. Instead, he just did everything I planned. If you know what you want, they will help make it happen.

Goodness, what a joy to come through Carmax this afternoon. I worked with Brynn, who was fabulous. The whole experience (getting an appraisal for my car) took 20 minutes max, out the door. The number I was given was fair. So now...I have to do some soul searching. But I wanted to say THANK YOU to Carmax and Brynn--this was a five star experience all the way. Who says customer service is a thing of the past?!

Winston Bolt is the man! We reserved a car for test drive and it was ready for us when we arrived. Bolt told us to take it for a spin and get a good feel for it. We noticed it had a smoky smell and mentioned this to Bolt, he said to take it home, get the interior detailed, and send them the bill to reimburse us. This is what we did and it helped greatly! Once we were back at the showroom the offer had been confirmed on our trade in and they got right to business! Very easy process, would recommend!

I am the kind of person that will say something when service or a product is bad. I figure that when service is good I should also comment. First of all my car wasvav2001. Yes 23 years old. I took care of it. When I decided it was time to give up driving I needed to sell my car. I went on line and got a bat quote from German for $1700. I wasn't impressed . 2 other on line offers from others came in. On was for $515 and the other was for $305. I knew my car with only z7780000 miles and no rust or dents was worth more. About 4 weeks later I figured I would try farmed again. I figured the value was only going to go down. This timer d the offer was for $2500. I made an appointment saw and brought the car in. The whole visit at car max took under an hour and a half. They gave me a check for the full $2500. They reduced nothing . Everyone I talked v with was courteous and professional and everyone of them smiled and were pleasant to talk with. Needlss to say I was impressed and Very happy. I recommend carmax to anyone that needdvt

We came in to sell a car and got a very fair offer. We needed to come back with a revised title for sale. Three weeks later and only 20 miles more on the car (which was stored in a garage) the offer was 20% less. The reason was they mistakenly thought the car was 4 wheel drive, not 2 wheel drive initially. Our contention is that this drivetrain information is in the VIN. We were very disappointed in the management for not splitting the difference.

I m very disappointed. Do not leave your car unattended during the appraisal, you have to watch what they re doing. In my case the check engine light and track off control light magically appeared after I left the car with them for 30 minutes.They loosened up the gas cap in my car first, that triggered the check engine and track off light to turn on simulating that there is something wrong with my car to give me the lowest possible offer.It took a lot of arguing to make them turn off both the check engine and truck off light in my car.

Buying the car was great. No complaints about the buying process. But, a week later I found oil leaking (a puddle in my driveway) and my heated seats broke. Since then I have been trying for a week to reach their service department and have had no luck. I have left 3 messages and called multiple times and have not spoken to a single person. I am hoping that once I get ahold of the service department it will be a quick fix.

We arrived for our appointment and were taken care of right away. Frem helped us out in the large room and I don't know her name but the young lady from the business office was wonderful. She took all the information necessary and we were out the door with our check in about 40 minutes.

I purchased my vehicle on October 12th, 2023 at the Glencoe, IL location. The sales lady who assisted us was extreme annoying, cocky, and rude. The car I wanted to look at didn't have certain features I wanted so when I asked about other cars on the lot and if I could test drive the vehicle I ended up purchasing, she asked me if I had intentions on buying at all. It was odd to me that she'd ask that. Who would want to hang out at CarMax to test drive cars all night? Just a stupid question in my opinion. She was irate that I didn't go for the more expensive vehicle but I was adamant that the car I buy must have a sunroof. When I traded in my vehicle for the new one, she asked me how much I had left on paying my old car. I said I owed a bit under $5000 and she was like "If you're telling the truth". Why would I lie? My previous car is from CarMax so it's easy for y'all to look up my information. She was a stupid person and made my experience frustrating. I asked her if the Chevy Trax was good in snowy weather. She said yes. Well, on 12/31/23 we had snow in Chicago and I can tell you that the car is NOT good in snowy weather. It slips and slides everywhere. How can you have a sales person selling cars with no knowledge on the vehicle they're selling? Now I'm stuck with a car that isn't good for snow. Thanks!

I would never buy a car any other way. The experience was great. My Sales Consultant, Rod Smith, made the entire process smooth. He was kind, knowledgeable and patient, I asked a lot of questions...:), even calling after the purchase of my vehicle and getting a return call. Everyone I encountered, from the paperwork person, Adrianna, to the guy who helped change my plates, Jalen, and Zack in the service department, was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend CarMax in Glencoe if you want to purchase a car with ease. Ask for Rod Smith. You will be well taken care of.

Do Not ever go tho this Location most especially if you are trading in or getting your car appraised. They are a total ripoff, These carmax dealerships are going out of business sooner or later for sure!!!

This is the worst place to buy a car. I recently purchased my car. In august, 2 days having it the check engine light came on some features in my car weren t working. Took them 20 days to get my car in the shop. When they called for the diagnosis of my car. I called management to return or trade the car because i didn t want to deal with anymore issues that can possibly come up. Which is unfortunate considering this is my dream car. And they said the warranty was over while the car was in there care. I spoke to HR and they seemed to call the dealership to get things settled (which they didn t do anything). I come pick up the car it had a flat tire they failed to noticed. Initially they were gonna check the tire for nails or holes before sending me on my way (They didn t do that At all) they filled up my tire. Sent me back on my way. Next morning FLAT. Took my car back to them and they said the rim was cracked and which was cracked in there care. (I don t know how that could possibly happen) Imagine if the tire went flat on the express way. They didn t want to discount the car or do anything in this situation. I went to pick up my car AGAIN.The next day after receiving the car another code came up saying oil is low. Which I don t understand how. A week later I m driving on my way to work and my car completely turns off. I had to get it towed back to my house. Management seems to only care for a paycheck which is pretty messed up considering that someone s life can be at cost for issues they fail to check in vehicles they sale. Do not recommend buying from this dealership or CarMax in general.

After visiting several dealerships, i went to Carmax because of the no hassle price, i was pleasantly surprised with their selection. It was easy to walk through the lot or online and make the selection, show up, test drive and out with a new car. The process couldn't be any more simple and stress-free.
