We brought our Infinity G37 in for transmission repair. Stan and his crew went above and beyond to fix the car right. Very friendly, quick in responding and they really care. I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back for future repairs!

Stan is the man!!! I brought my car in last Summer to have a new transmission installed. Stan was very upfront and honest from the beginning. He let me know about a credit card that was available to help since it was a big expense. Yesterday I brought my car in because the check engine light was on and it was stalling on me. I assumed it was the transmission. Stan let me know it was not the transmission, but still took the time to look and diagnose the issue. It is so nice having a local, reliable mechanic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Plus, he is funny as hell and nice to talk to!! Thank you Stan and AAMCO Glen Ellyn!!

Our Transmission was slipping and had become unsafe to drive, we stretched it out as long as we could knowing we might have to throw down 3 - $4000 for a new one. Dropped it off thinking it would be a week before we saw it again. Much to our surprise recieved a call that afternoon that it was finished! And just under $1000!!! I'm sure another shop would have just sold it as a total rebuild or replacement but because these guys are honest committed to their work they see things others will overlook. Thanks guys so much!

The owner Stan helped us from the second we entered. Very friendly and professional. He test drove our car and knew right away what was wrong. He gave us a fair price to fix our car and we agreed. Our car drives like new again.

While traveling through, our transmission went out. Stan and his crew took great care of us. He kept us informed on that status of our vehicle. They did a great job fixing our van in a reasonable time and at a good price.

Stan is the man. Really, I believed my Trans was going and he said no its the Barrings. Change them and I have a brand new car drives just like she came off the assembly line and my car is 2009 Mercury Maquis.

Omg! I had my waterpump changed there and three years later I needed to replace it! They charged $770 and the new one was half that. I called twice and they never returned my call.

Stan, is probably one of the best mechanics/managers, person I have had the pleasure to meet and get to know. Stan is professional and easy to talk too. He explained the problem with my truck s transmission and provided two options that allowed me to replace my transmission. Stan was able to complete this in an expeditious manner. Stan then diagnosed another problem with my truck. Stan was able to replace my radiator in an expeditious manner again. Stan allowed me to put money, worth while, in my 2005 Ford F150 with less then 100,000 miles and continue driving my 17 year old truck. A big thank you to Stan and his mechanic.

All of my experiences with Stan and his team have been positive my car gets fixed at a decent time and extremely timely. Stan is very knowledgeable and I always walk away confident my car is in good hands. I ve been to this Aamco a number of times at this point. I had to replace a transmission a couple of years ago and they took care of it at a decent price. I ve had no problems. I recently went back in with starter problems, once again taken care of within the day. The initial problem was solved, but still was having trouble starting. Stan and his team took it right back, diagnosed the problem, and I m driving the car just fine now. In all, fantastic experience.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Stan diagnosed my Check Engine Light for a transmission-related issue that other shops could not fix. He corrected the problem in no time and there was no charge, thanks to an online coupon. Stan is extremely knowledgeable and excellent with customers. He even took time to explain issues that a transmission fluid change can cause and why. He is simply the very best! I HIGHLY recommend this shop, especially for problems that other auto repair shops cannot solve. Two thumbs up for "Stan the Man!"

Stan Malik is the go to guy for all your car needs! He was able to order our transmission and have it replaced within 3 days. Mind you it was New Years Eve! Out of all the other shops we had called, he was able to provide us with the longest warranty and best price! Couple weeks later we had to return to Stan to ask about a separate issue with loud noises as we accelerated. He was able to diagnose the two bad wheel bearings, bad tie rod ends, and replaced both abs sensors. Car runs beautifully now! I highly recommend AAMCO of Glen Ellyn for any car related issues. Stan I personally thank you for everything and it s been a pleasure sharing stories with you!Service: Transmission

Just used AAmco Glen Ellyn for the first time after my mechanic missed a diagnosis, costing me 1900.00 and not even coming close to fixing my problem. btw he's not my mechanic any longer. Stopped at AAmco, immediately 2 techs took my car for a test drive, 10 mins after they returned they pulled the drive shaft showed me the part that was not functioning properly, had reasonable availability to replace parts needed, unlike my guy who only would go to the dealer for brand new 2x the cost of AAmco. Stan, as others have called him, IS THE Man. and a shout out to James who diagnosed my problem in 20 mins, my guy? still scratching his head. And at the end Stan went out of his way to get my cost out the door, within my budget. Do I recommend this shop. Yes. Will I go back. Yes. They earned it!Services: Transmission, Oil change

If there was and award for a mechanic of the year, it would go to Stan at Aamco. I have a 2016 nissan versa note cvt transmission. Was hit by someone and long story short I found this place on Google. From my 1st phone call Stan has 100% done everything he could to walk me thru this accident and let me know what to expect. He went above and beyond to fix my car and deal with me. And I'm a hot mess. And the pricing blew my mind front end body damage to the front right of my car was literally $2000 more than a new transmission installed. If you need anything Stan is the person to go to. Aamco has made the worst experience I've had easy to deal with. I know as much about cars as Stan know about smart phones. So don't expect a tictok video any time soon. But I will tell you this EVERY TIME I called Stan answered the phone. Thank you Stan!! Thank you Aamco! I will recommend you to everyone. Like Stan says rock n roll.Service: Transmission

I could not have better things to say about this Aamco location and specifically Stan! From the moment I called in he went above and beyond to help me. Gathering pricing options and calling me back to come up with ideas. Listening and understanding that I was in a tough position and needing to get an expensive repair done! My transmission had gone out on and Stan was able to repair and rebuild it with a warranty and was able to do it in a very timely manner. He helped me get financing for my repair, 12 months no interest! It couldn t have worked out better and he was just a pleasure to do business with! I highly recommend this specific Aamco location! I have used another in the past and did not have any problems, however the experience did not compare with this one! Ask for Stan!Service: Transmission

Stan is great! As a woman you feel like you are always going to be taken advantage of but he worked with me to keep my out of pocket cost low and this did not affect the quality of work AT ALL. My car runs nd drives like when I first got it. I would recommend this AAMCO location to anyone who needs quality, quick work done on their car.Service: Transmission

They helped me a great deal! Stan assisted me with a clean up job on my trans pan from another shops ignorance. Which helped me determine the previous shop didn't service my vehicle properly. They helped me find the problem and quickly solve the solution. Which I am extremely grateful for. The previous shop had my car in multiple times, not these guys. Aamco also doesn't force any uneeded repairs either, which was great. If your looking for a place, this is it. Talk to Stan!!

This is THE place to go for transmission, or really any car related issues. They are helpful, reliable and cost effective and will do everything in their power to get you a great repair at the best price. Stan is a lifesaver (and hilarious). My family has had 3 transmissions repaired here. Hopefully we won't need another one for awhile but when we do, we'll go here.

This place was great. Took my Tahoe to another transmission place prior to calling AAMCO as a check on price. Stan "the man" took my call and confirmed the price was in the ball park over the phone. He then explained what AAMCO has to offer without being pushy. I really liked what I heard so I decided to leave the other transmission place and limp my car over to them. Within an hour they had diagnosed my issues and had a hard quote to me (with 3-year unlimited mile warranty). The transmission was done and I had my car back in 2 days unlike the the other place that said it would take about a week. Stan delivered on every promise he made. I highly recommend this place they really delivered a quality service in a very timely manner!Service: Transmission

I took my car to Stan because I wanted to go to a shop that specializes in transmissions and I trust the AAMCO brand name. Stan is truly a seasoned expert and understands the technical aspects of transmissions backwards and forwards and on top of that he truly cares about your satisfaction and his reputation as a professional. Stan gave me a ride twice in his personal vehicle in order to ensure my satisfaction. His shop uses the latest computer diagnostics. The rate he charged for rebuilding my transmission was in line with the average charge for AAMCO shops in the Chicago area, according to my research. An investment in a rebuild can extend the life of my car several years but its a big investment so I wanted to be sure it was done by an experienced professional who specializes in transmissions that I could trust and I am glad I brought it to Stan.Service: Transmission

Recently my truck did the walk of shame up the flatbed after it would not shift out of 2nd gear. The transmission had been acting up and I knew I was going to be in for a hefty bill if the issue was not related to sensors or fuses. I called around to several shops and did my online research and came across this AAMCO shop near my house. The reviews were outstanding and the stand out were the numerous mentions about their interactions with Stan. Stan is outstanding to work with and made it easy for me to give them my business. Stan kept in communication and the truck was done sooner that was expected. The shop was clean and Stan took the time to explained exactly what they did. He also showed me an exploded visual on the wall of an entire disassembled transmission and what they replaced. I would come back to Stan for future work I need done. AAMCO in Glen Ellyn is one of the best transmission shops I have ever been to. Their customer service is outstanding. Stan is one of the Manager's there and he is very detail when it comes to fixing your car. He will assess the situation and let you know the best option for you with payment and repairs. My car runs better than it ever did before so I will recommend if your experiencing any issue with your car please stop in and ask for Stan.
