After years of oil changes at Valvoline they have broken the clips to my skid plate. After 15 minutes of struggling to replace it, while assuring me it was totally fine, they finally zip-tied it back on. When I questioned them on this they acted like it was totally normal to zip-tie parts of your car together. Now I have to find the parts and replace them before I lose my skid plate on the highway.Find somewhere else, between that nonsense and the constant pressure of up-sellling and the long lines this place just isn't worth it anymore.12/16/22 Update - On their request I took my car back in on 11/21/22 where I waited over an hour to be told they would order the clips but I still haven't heard back.1/31/23 Update - Still haven't heard back from anyone at Valvoline about the clips they said they would order.9/2/23 Update - Never heard back from this location, I assume they don't care even though they promised to help me get the parts ordered and installed. Untrustworthy company.

Stopped here for an oil change after Walmarts wait time was 5 hours. Haven t ever been here before that. There was a slight wait, about 30-40 minutes, but it was a Saturday, so that s expected. The young man Shawn was super nice and stopped by each car to update us on the wait times and progress of the car in front. They stayed true to first come first serve and kept an eye on who was in line first regardless of the lane and we appreciated that. Ryleigh and Shawn helped us and honored a coupon and offered to get our tires rotated along with the oil change, which really needed done anyway, so it was super convenient. They tell you other things that need done on your vehicle but never pressure you to get them done. It s still good to know. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful and really helped get our truck up to speed. Overall, I d Recommend this place to anyone!

Go to any other location if at all possible. I've tried to get a simple oil change at this location for some days now. Each day I drive up and sit in my car in a long line, watching as not one car gets sent out or brought into the bay. My recommendation: go to Valvoline Express Care if you don't have a day to waste. Fastest, smoothest oil change I've had in the area, and with great service. Drop the "Instant" from your company name, fellas.

I brought my Jeep Wrangler with low mileage to this location. Whilst in the location, I noticed employees laughing a little bit and motioning as if "whatever" to each other. Afterward, I heard a little rattle, but the weather got cold, so I put it up to being cold. About a week later, it still hasn't gone away, and I checked under the hood. One piece of information; I paid for an air filter, which they said was dirty and showed me it. They replaced it. After replacing, they didn't put the screws back in or even latch down all the clamps. There are 2 screws and 4 clamps. My engine coolant is also very low, well below the minimum line. After running the engine. They said 1 week ago it was fine, there are no leaks.

Try to use work credit card to pay for oil change and work car, it was declined because of how it was scanned by the the worker at the Valvoline store. Paid for this with my personal card and proceeded to call my office. After getting my work card unlocked 5 minutes later went back to the store to have them refund my personal card and charge my work card correctly and was told that they could not do this I would just have to get reimbursed through my work. Couldn't do something as simple as reimbursed a charge and then charge it on the credit card this was too much for an assistant manager. This complete lack of any customer service will keep me from ever patronizing the story ever again.

Currently sitting for for 26minutes while 3 cars who came after me go in. Told the female who obviously shouldnt be working at an oil change that I ONLY NEEDED AIR. Im directly in front of an air pump. Told the girl AGAIN when ahe came out that I only needed air. Still nothing. Then a male came out to talk to the people behind me and I told him that 3 cars went through and ALL I WANT IS AIR FROM THE PUMP IN FRONT OF MY CAR. He looks like I just spoke Chinese and says sorry.

UPDATE: Sadly this place is going down hill. I have noticed the last couple times i have been here the price has gone up and the service has gone down.. the guy doing my bill spoke quiteand fast. I had to stop him several times to tell him i can not hear him and he was speaking to fast. He didn't seem to care. The only thing he wanted me to do was pay for extra services. But at $108 for a small car oil change seems too high for me.. they didn't check my lights or tires and didn't even ask. This is the last time i will be going back..If you need a fast oil change with a smile this is the place to go. Super fast and a great staff. They always ask how I am doing and go the extra mile for you. They had a line around the corner the last time I went and they told me it would take 20 min before they could even get started. . I was and out in less them 15. I have been taking my service van there for a while now. I usually do my own vehicles my self but they are so fast and do such a great job not to mention the price is great fall everything they do. I am going to start taking them there now.

I was refused an oil change in Bethalto Illinois because I refused to switch to synthetic oil! I ve been using conventional oil for 8 years and I have been going to this location for many, many years! I was told by a very young, arrogant manager, I see you ve gotten conventional oil but I m not giving you conventional oil! He was so rude, hateful and so very arrogant! I immediately contacted customer service who has let upper management know but it s a weekend so I won t hear anything till the weekday , but I m definitely following through with a complaint because this is completely unacceptable and it says in my chart that I have opted out of synthetic oil, but he blatantly disregarded this! My car is a 2013, I will not switch to synthetic when I ve been using conventional oil this whole time and I should not be forced to do so! I was in complete shock at this managers behaviors, it was like I was being scolded from a child! I went to Wood River Illinois location and a guy named Dave took great care of me and was so very respectful!! Thank you Dave!! This manager needs to be held accountable, I wish I would have gotten his name but I was to upset, but that s ok cause they know what manager was working on 9/22/23!!

I already like Valvoline, but this location in particular was great. They answer every question, are very nice, and there prices are better than the dealer & most shops. They even work on Diesel pickup trucks (I have a Ram 2500 Cummins). I hate going to most shops because my truck sits for hours before anyone looks at it no matter how early your appointment is. Valvoline gets you in & out without you even getting out of your car. Oil changes 20 minutes. Transmission & Coolant flush only 40 minutes. That s unheard of anywhere else.

These people make me feel like family/ friend pulling in there.They're funny, respectable, full of smiles and laughs, too the point where I didn't realize we were done so quickly.I found myself wanting to stay and hang out and laugh with them. I was sorry it was so fast Service: Oil change

The young lady that rang me out was very knowledgeable and helpful. The manager went to went above and beyond to get the light needed for my jeep. All I can say is that this location is one of the best and the service is top notch! I'll definitely be back! Thank you all so much!

The crew working 11/16/21 at 6:30pm was fantastic. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with all of my needs. They checked me in right as I pulled up (even though I wasn't being serviced yet), completed my car service in a timely manner, and were pleasant to be around. They did professional work, while keeping their work atmosphere enjoyable. It was fun to be a part of it as a customer. This location has always been good, but for some reason the guys working there tonight were high above and far beyond good. They were super. Guys like these are in high demand! I hope Valvoline takes great care of them financially. They deserve it!

Absolutely terrible I would recommend no one go to this place ever My wife took her 2017 Ford expedition in to get her oil changed not only did they not put full synthetic oil in it they put the the wrong wait and overfilled it by double the amount of courts it should have had so it requires six quarts and they put 12 in is what the dipstick showed with that being said I took it back to get the oil change redone and when they pulled the oil drain plug it sounded like somebody was pouring a cup of water out for about a minute straight so it seems to me that they may have put antifreeze or window washer fluid in my oil instead of actual oil because oil is not that thin so hopefully once I take the vehicle to be diagnosed by a dealer this coming week I can find out if there's any damage done to the motor and hold them responsible if need be

I had to pay a little over $300 to replace my oil pan that started leaking after I got my oil changed here. I went to get my oil changed and by the time I made it back home all of my oil was drained out and it stained my rental property's drive way.I took it back and they tried to repair it but there was still a slow leak. They tried to say it was an issue that was already there before I arrived and that there was nothing they could do about it and that I should take it to my car dealship. I did and they said it was something Vavoline did to it. I will never go back to this place again. Lesson learned

Stopped into the Edwardsville Valvoline for an oil change while doing some lastminute grocery shopping. Pulled up behind the shortest lane after being waved to do so. Got all the preliminary work done, popped the hood and patiently waited for my turn. Shortly after, I was asked to move over to the other lane and I did so. Maybe 10 minutes later, the young man who checked me in came and asked me to move back to the other lane because a gentleman in a minivan felt he was and should go first. I don't believe this gentleman was even in line before I got there and commented on this to the service tech. I told him I was not moving again and he informed he would tell his boss. Shortly after this encounter another male tech, assumed the boss, came strutting over to my vehicle. He told me he had checked the video and it showed the minivan had arrived prior to me. I told him I didn't believe so because I pulled in behind the white car now sitting next to me. He told me, and this is a direct quote, "I don't know if you are a liar or old and confused, but I'll let it go this time." SAY WHAT!!!! (My Siri, which I was setting reminders on, caught the whole conversation.) I told him that wouldn't be necessary because I would drive on through without service, after the truck in front of me was finished. Which is what I did, after pausing for them to close my car hood. $101 and some change will go to another business with more organizational skills, better management and customer service skills. Will never use this business again. GOOD customer service is dead.Services: Tires, Oil change

Andrew was the best ! They were out of my brake bulb and he went out and bought one for me ! This shop has always had amazing customer service, genuinely kind people who care about taking care of you. It s nice to go somewhere where they look like they are having fun while they work and as an added bonus they have a great sense of humor 10/10 recommend this location!Services: Brakes, Oil change

SKY HIGH PRICES! Valvoline used to be my go to oil change station, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. All they did was try to sell me stuff the whole time. Their prices for oil changes have doubled since the last time I went there, the cheapest oil change now being $75. They kept pushing these random services that costed at least $100 and they showed me my air filter and it was very dirty, but they said they didn t have a replacement, very helpful. Over not a good value anymore and not that quick. They advertise it taking 20 minutes but they don t advertise the two hours you have to wait to get this oil change. Very much has gone down hill and for this I will find some place cheaper.

I got in line around 9 am on May 7th and ten minutes later they had cars lined up for service. I didn t wait long at all. Just want to give a shout out to Caleb for all her work and attention to details. Some customers were really rude to her in that short time span and she handled it well. I will always recommend to go here because even with very few morning employees, they still got their work done. Thanks Caleb and the team!Service: Oil change
