I will never be back. I spent over $1200 getting new brakes all around. My back left brake is now sticking and worn more because it wasn't even lubed during install. Big parts mark up and well over $100/hr for labor. Horrible service and bad business. Now I have to have this fixed somewhere else. AVOID THIS PLACE. Can't even install brakes correctly...

Just got all 4 tires, front brakes done. The person who did my tire rotation last year completely jacked my lug nuts up, Genoa Motors repair was able to fix all the issues and I couldn't be happier!! Great work done and great people and even better was a great price.

Heading to Chicago from Rockford when I discovered a nail in my right rear tire. Stopped in for the first time after seeing this shop multiple times on my way back and forth, and always thought to stop in and find a good shop. Well, I certainly enjoyed being welcomed to be helped by Mike the owner. Told him what I needed to have done, and got his shop mechanic Mike (same name as his) to get right on it. Definitely will be back to have my van worked on. Thanks Mike.

Have come to Genoa Motors twice now, and have had such a great experience! This time, Mike realized after the fact that the discount forgot to come off. He immediately paid back the difference before I could leave the shop. Grateful for their honesty and great work! Will keep coming back!!

Real helpful group of guys. Mike is honest and very welcoming. The tech I had for my vehicle walked me through what was wrong and explained. Good prices as well. Also Windy the Dog is a massive plus! 5/5 Stars.

My husband has been taking his truck there for years for maintenance and also repairs. We've never had a bad experience. Always fair pricing and typically able to get you in quickly. It's a nice bonus that they have a loaner car available to use as well. We will continue to give them our business.

Great shop serving the local community and beyond. I recently needed a vehicle serviced and they were able to fit me into their schedule due to a cancelation. Super thankful for the prompt service and excellent knowledge base of this shop. Highly recommended

Need a skidsteer tire reset on the rim. Al Brown wasn't able to figure it out. Larry the mechanic didn't give up and got the bead to set with no leaks! Owner was very accommodating and pleasant. Thanks for getting us back in the cab before the snow hits!! 5 STAR service!

I had a radiator that developed a severe leak and needed replacing. Mike ordered a perfect replacement and when asked if they could also perform an oil change while it was in the shop, they did that as well. I plan on using GMAR for all my future local automotive repair needs and highly recommend this shop as well. Do NOT come here. Transmission leaked after a flush, the sealant used didn't take and turned to putty. Larry, the mechanic was great and took the time to show and explain things, but the owner is a nut case. Some people may have good experiences, but they did not have the owner calling them on the phone screaming.There was an issue with the return of the loaner car, as I, a 17 year old, said I could try and get it back after work after I get off at 4pm, but my mom was picking me up. My mom had said we couldn't return it until 9am the next day. I did not know that she had called and said that. He called at 5pm, and after being told that as my mom had said, the loaner car could not be returned, he began to scream at me over the phone. My mom took the phone and began yelling at him for screaming at me, where things only escalated and he began to curse at her, vice versa.When we came in the next day to look at my van as expected, the owner was not there and it was Larry. He was great, I would take my vehicle to be looked at from him again if he changed shops. He offered to put the van up to show that it had been fixed, explained the new transmission sealant they used, and we were mid conversation with him when Mike stormed in and he began to scream. He demanded we leave the property, and when we said that we wanted to see the van first, he called the cops and demanded we be trespassed. The cops came, the situation was explained, and while we were outside, Larry came out to talk. He was very kind, explained what was done, put cardboard under the van and let it run to show that the leak had been fixed.Another thing: The owner claimed to the cops that I told him I had no card, and that was why I paid in cash. That was a lie. When I called, I asked him how I should pay and he told me I needed to pay cash. I strongly urge you not to pay cash, as now I am out $730 and for a horrible experience, I wish I had paid on card.Tldr: Horrible experience, do not bring your car here and take your business elsewhere.

Got a flat tire and my mom called to see if they could fix it quick. The owner knows her so it was on the house. They got it fixed up and ready in less than a half hour. Great service, very quick

I have been trying to call Genoa Motors auto repair and reaching out to them on their website for the past 2 days, trying to get my car in to have it checked out for engine noise. When I try to call, I get a recording that confirms I'm calling Genoa Motors Auto repair, then it rings about eight times, and hangs up. I've tried calling them numerous times this morning already, and I get the same thing every time. I have also tried twice to contact them through their website, and I get an email acknowledging that they got my email, but no one has reached back out to me. I don't know if they're having trouble with their phone system, or if there's something else going on, but that's very poor service, in my opinion. I have never brought my car here before, but I read a lot of the customer reviews and decided to give them a try, especially since they're less than a mile from my house. I have no choice but to take my business elsewhere at this point, because I need a working vehicle. I'm extremely disappointed, to say the least.

New tires - forgot to align and balance - wore through to the cords in 6 months - huge safety issue!! They replaced these at no charge...but 9 months later I took it to another shop. 3 of 4 were installed with the "inside" facing out. And all 4 were manufactured in 2017. All tires were cupping, asymmetrical, and had uneven wear...after 9 months. Krissy reached out and was great. But after some miscommunication and harsh words from the management, I decided to keep this review on here lieu of a detail job. This is just my experience. I was pleased with Genoa Motors Auto Repair's trouble-shooting ability, correct repairs and fair pricing. I was further impressed when they made a temporary repair to allow me to use my vehicle on vacation while the permanent replacement part was on order. Friendly local shop, quick to work to gain your business. Reasonable rates and fast turnaround on their work. I'm always happy to support small local businesses but these guys really earned it. Maverick and Galaxy are always happy to see me.

I meant to write this review a while back, but hey, better late than never. I was looking for my first car and I found this place, and boy am I happy I did. Not only was the experience enjoyable, but the car I got had problems with the breaks and tire, they replaced them with no extra charge. The warranty is /amazing/ and I love it, though I haven't had to use it yet, thankfully.
