I took my van here a few months ago because all the other places I took it two couldn't get my temporary plates off one of the other mechanics wanted to weld it a different mechanic told me to drill it but they couldn't get it they didn't know they were stumped and I was worried about getting a ticket LOL so I stopped by at Genoa Automotive repair and Doug said oh that's easy we'll take it off from the inside I said okay how much you think that will cost he's like 20 bucks I was so happy!!! I've been going to him ever since extremely acknowledgable and honest does really good work he's done some other jobs for me and I have been very happy with his work I would recommend them to anybody and I will keep taking my vehicles there so happy to have an honest and a knowledgeable mechanic I'm sorry I hope he never retires very nice people!

There s no other place to take your car. You just can t beat an honest knowledgeable mechanic. Had to take my vehicle there 5 times before they actually fixed the problem with my a/c. They damaged my bumper and the a/c works just not like it was prior. However, ever since they worked on my car, I have been hearing weird noises and it's not working like it used to. Didn't have any problems other than the a/c. Car used to run like a dream. Now I have to take it and have it checked out. Will not take it back to Genoa Auto repair. I wouldn't use them for anything. If I could give them a negative rating, I would.Service: A/C installation & repair

When the brakes on my car stopped working, I had to have it towed to the nearest garage: Genoa Automotive Repair. It was a Friday, and I was told I wouldn't be hearing from them until their first opening the following Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, and I heard nothing. On Thursday, mid-afternoon, I realized they weren't going to call me, so I made the call myself. The man I spoke with presumed to tell me that he'd have to replace my fuel lines as well to get to my brake lines and was going to charge me over $1000 for the repairs. He wouldn't give me an exact price, only that it would be over 1000. He was also unable to tell me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, implying he hadn't even looked at it properly yet, despite my appointment being the day before and him having my car for several days. The only thing actually wrong with my car was a small leak in the brake line that was clearly visible as plain as day to anyone who could look underneath the car. I didn't appreciate the obvious scam and rudeness over the phone, so I took my car elsewhere. I highly recommend anyone reading this avoid giving this irreputable mechanic any of their business.

Our community stands above the rest. I wouldn t trade it for anything in the world. And it is because of businesses like Genoa Automotive repair. Amidst a family tragedy, GAR catered to me like I was a member of their own family. You couldn t ask for more but they give it anyway. Thank you so much for taking good care of me and my suburban.

The best most honest people in the area. Don't be fooled by those repair shops that advertise great rates, or those that just opened advertising their the best. Nothing tops years of quality service.

I'm not sure how their work is because I never made it in. They were very rude on the phone and could not give me any basic information. I will be searching elsewhere for my car repair.
