I had my Kia Forte Xl repaired there. They kept telling me the light on my dash was from my gas cap. Well I finally had money to get further repairs and the light on my dash was not because the gas cap was bad. It was because of the emissions control damaged at the time of the accident. Not only did I have to wait a few weeks for repairs they only fixed part of the problem and fixed the others things poorly. I would never go to them again.

UPDATE: Still no car with proper parts. The template reply to these negative reviews is a facade and the actual Gerber employees taking care of the car have been unhelpful. I suggest going anywhere else.Gerber Collision has had my dad's car for going on 9 weeks now and have done a poor job so far. They replaced a side fender with a cheap plastic alternative unlike the original and still have more work to do. No rental car has been offered and they've been difficult to work with.

To be honest I didn't want to take my vehicle there. Insurance company said it was the recommended shop in our area. 1st, I took vehicle to get looked at, i was told they didn't have time. I looked online and there many time slots available. I figured out how to submit info online through website. But staff didn't make me aware that there was an online option. Simple dent in rear quarter panel and broken taillight has taken 15 days to repair. I would not recommend.

The female answering the phone was quite fiesty when we questioned why our car is taking a month and half rather than the 2 week estimate. Nothing but excuses and takes way too long to fix with no communication. Just attitude. Calling my insurance to see what can be done moving it NEVER AGAINServices: Transmission, Body & TrimServices: Transmission, Body & Trim

Poor customer service and communication. Parts take much longer than if you ordered them yourself. Avoid at all costs.

Customer service was not very impressive I had my car repaired there after hitting a deer by suggestion of insurance. The repair was done in a timely manor a couple body items that should have been replaced were not that still have deer hair in them. They had also agreed to have the pin stripping done on the replaced panels of my vehicle but after multiple calls with promised return calls it has been weeks with no avail

Thanks to Shane and Kelly! My car looks new again- what a beautiful job on the repairs! They even washed it THOROUGHLY, put some elbow grease into a couple marks on my mirrors, AND cleaned my dash, etc... none of which were part of the repairs! Plus, Kelly stayed late so we would not have to wait for Shane, who was helping another customer. A great experience from beginning to end...I highly recommend Gates!

Very professional and courteous. Explained process throughly. This is the second time I have used Gates for repairs. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company. The work was done in a quick but quality manner. Wouldn t go anywhere else for collision repair. Shout out to Shayne and Kelly specifically, I would name the techs who did the work but didn t have the privilege to meet them.

I have been waiting patiently, or maybe not, for repairs to be made to my car after hitting two geese on March 25th, 2022. Have called the insurance company and Gerber, and Ryan never calls me back.

I have had great experiences until now. My car got hit in a parking lot. Brought it to Gerber to fix. They forced a wrong size bumper on breaking my taillight. They didn't tell me now the light is not functioning. Instead of taking ownership for the mistake it's now on me. I'll never return. When Shayne and Gates left so did the quality service. Unhappy.

Through and through flawless job on all the repairs and painting. Finished repairs a day ahead of schedule. Daily update by text or phone call. My vehicle was clean like off the show room floor. Minor body damage repair and paint. Very short wait time to get in. They texted daily updates on progress, and completed work a day ahead of schedual. Excellent workmanship and very professional and courteous staff. Would recommend them any time.

I took my wifes car to Gates in order to have some minor repairs done that were covered by warranty. Shayne took care of all the paper work before I dropped the car off so after a few signatures I was driving away in my free Gates loaner car. A few days later I picked up the car and was happy with the work performed, overall the experince was great. You will not find better customer service or quality of work anywhere in the Freeport area.

The whole staff at Gates is wonderful. They are quick to give you a quote and worked with my insurance so I didn't have to hassel with them at all. The manager Shayne rented a car from Enterprise for me while mine was being worked on.I have had other repairs done with them as well and they worked to keep the repairs to what is absolutley neccessary when you are on a limited budget. They don't make up things that are wrong with your car so they can make extra money on you or your insurance company. I can't say enough good things about them.

At first I was very impressed with the Gates Auto in Watertown, then my car got sent to the Freeport location. This is where communication literally didn't happen, I had to call and see when the parts were coming in, when my car would be ready. When they said my car was being shipped and I came to pick it up it was actually still at the Freeport location. 2 more days for parts....still waiting.
