It's always disheartening when associates assume you don't know what you're doing while you're in an auto parts store. Some associates really need better training. Also, actively listening to the customer is so helpful. I know a fair amount about cars and I try not to bother already busy associates unless I truly need their help. Being given the courtesy of at least seeing that I am capable, not just assuming I'm ignorant, would go a long way.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Barry: we use the Freeport location, in-person & by phone, often. Barry is not only knowledgeable but always friendly and patient. For us, service at this location is always a factor in choosing Autozone over other auto parts stores.

Though I usually go to O'Reilly's, I went to AutoZone the other night like 10 minutes before closing and the two employees there both went out of their way to take a look at what I had going on and try and find me a solution. I stopped them after they should have been closed for 5 minutes because they seem like they were going to stay there until they figured it out. Good people that night 5 stars for them

Went there to get a Diagnostic check on my vehicle. Which was very quickly done they had the part in stock And the special tool to remove and replace that part. Quick service professional service help, And very knowledgeable about their product

I was looking for a hitch to add to my hrv. I called and Barry helped me with which one will work best. It had to be ordered. This was a short notice buy. He kept up on tracking and kept me informed. And part arrived before I needed it. This isn t the first time I have called upon this store for pressing parts and/or general car questions. I live in the Winnebago area and like the Freeport store better. I ve never experienced any rude or unhelpful workers.Thank you for helping me get the right parts and on time.

I havee a 2016 Buick Enclave that needed brake lights replaced, Barry K came to my rescue and replaced the lights in the cold without any complaints, I tried to pay him or tip him but he refused, Barry is a great staff member and he represents auto zone well with great customer service Thank you Barry from the Carters

The guys there were so nice and helpful! I originally came in for jumper cables just in case i needed them but when i went to start my car to leave, it was dead. They tested my battery, AND replaced it for me. They took so much time out of their work day to help me.These guys are getting fresh baked cookies!

When I walked in there this morning to purchase a gas cap I didn't see a sign anywhere that said a mask was required but I did bring mine in with me Even though I am a fully vaccinated individual. then when I got up to the counter I asked if they still required that I wear it and the man behind the counter that I assume is the manager said very rudely yes. So I put it on even though he was standing 2' from me and had no mask covering his face whatsoever. I am only giving a 3 star rating because the other gentleman that actually helped me with my purchase was very nice.

Went there looking for a 36mm socket and the guy who helped me and very polite and did the best he could to get me what I needed. Unfortunately they did not have the socket I needed (36mm and low profile) but I was happy with the service I received.

This winter I ve had quite a few hurdles with battery, engine, and other issues. The staff here have not only been helpful in diagnosing, but willingly brave the cold outside to check out and even make quick simple fixes to my car. That kind of customer service goes a long way for a returning customer.

I was 100 miles from home and my car wouldn't start because the battery went out. I got it jumped so I was able to get the car to Auto Zone. The kindly employee changed the battery for me for free. I've never changed a car battery and was in a bad spot, with my autistic son rather upset at the situation. The old battery had some corrosion that made the change a bit difficult, but Auto Zone got it done. Thank you so much, Freeport Auto Zone, for the professional, kind, and quick battery replacement!

Went here for a new car battery. Even with a broken foot one of the clerks by the name of Trey went above and beyond to replace it for me then and there. Extremely polite and dedicated service. Thank you Trey!!!!!

Tried to return Trans Fluid and got a return on a merchandised card then I found the original receipt in my car in the parking lot, and they refused to get the return back on the card, never shopping here again waste of my time, would not recommend

I needed wipers for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Went to Freeport's Autozone and had them within 3 minutes. The guy was even willing to install them for me in the cold winter! Thanks much to Autozone Freeport!

I love the people who work at this Auto Zone! Maybe I've just been really lucky, but these guys have been enormously helpful in diagnosing an issue. Their prices are on par with Walmart's in a lot of places, but the extra buck or two on some things is well worth their quality help.
