Can t say enough good things about this service department. My Service Writer TJ Burke is very thorough and always keeps me informed. Work quality is excellent . Highly recommend this dealership.

Stopped by for a quick oil change. They also offered free multi point inspection and tire rotation. There were some issues observed by the team which was reported to me via text with link detailing the issue observed by the team with pictures and an estimate for the fix. I was able to decline without even speaking to any one at the comfort of waiting area. Kyle Miller was very professional and courteous. Overall, it was a positive experience.

This review is about a recent visit I had with Ray Chevrolet Service.I brought my vehicle to the service department for a visual inspection. After inspection the service report read that I needed oil pan gasket replacement. I asked if the advisor saw the oil leak or a photo. No. Service wanted to replace my entire oil pan for a total cost of $1,200.00 with three hours worth of labor.Following the diagnosis I visited two other mechanic shops. Both different mechanics performed a visual inspection. Both concurred the pan didn t need to be replaced. The second stated the oil gasket was leaking. They allowed me to walk under the vehicle and see the leak. They stated the oil gasket needed to be replaced not the pan. The repair was completed in one hour. The gasket cost $160.00. Since the repair it has not leaked; they performed a follow up visual inspection after installation.Ray Chevrolet will turnkey vehicle parts and charge obscene prices for repairs that may not need to be done.I d use discretion having this dealer complete repairs on your vehicle.I am not happy they were more than willing to take $1,000.00 for an entire oil pan gasket assembly unit that didn t need to be replaced.Additionally, every time I visit the dealership the sales department manager tries to purchase my vehicle. This time the sales manager and a second sales assistant didn t even acknowledge me while I watched them walk around my vehicle in the parking lot five feet away from them. They called me while I still at Ray s service department. On several separate occasions sales has offered me a less than desirable price for my used vehicle in hopes I will trade it for a more expensive inflated vehicle that is of less quality. If they gave me what I wanted for my vehicle then maybe I d consider. They low ball me every time.

The Service Writers were great. My oil change did cost me $230! I know it's the Camaro 2SS LT1 engine needing 10 quarts, but damn. We used the GM Full Synthetic that they purchase in 55 gallon barrel bulk. Not much worried about price. There is no where to park. They let what appears to be young kids drive your vehicle in and out of the garage. Scarey! They did not check and add air to the tires even though the dash clearly says tires low. They didn't run the car through the car wash even though I asked and lifetime washes came with the purchase of the car from there dealership. There may just be to many negatives to go back.

When in with check engine light on. Need cam/crankshaft correlation set. Truck was returned without check engine light, 48 hours later I went to have emissions tested, failed, check engine was still signaling to emissions but was not lit up on dash. Was told bulb burned out. Returned to service for repair, they could not get it passed emissions. Wanted to start replacing parts to try and fix, parts they want to change are only 18 months old in truck. Truck returned to me with no resolution and still failing emissions. Frustrating.

The service center has been great. They are very attentive and do a good job of keeping you informed of progress. There is a nice lounge with TV, WiFi and coffee. Loaners are available and my car is always spotless when I get it back.

Second visit, even nicer than the first. The people are polite, the facility is clean and organized, our salesperson, Ryan Golden, was everything you could ask for and more. Will be a loyal customer thanks to him.

Everyone here is amazingly nice. They kept me informed with what's going on the car with accessories being installed on the car. They even worked around my schedule and made it work out very well. Keep up the good work there guys!!!

I own an old Suzuki, the brand has been out of the US market since 2012. There is very few places that keep working on Suzuki cars. And Ray Chevrolet is not only one of them, but also the best of them by any standard. They provide loaner car because Suzuki parts usually take longer time to order, and they still give me reasonable price even though they know I don't have other place to go.I am satisfied and will recommend their service.

so I purchased two cars on black Friday 2018 - Nov of 2019 I had to bring my 15 Impala into service for check engine lite on - shop provided me a rental, shop then let me know the part my vehicle needed was on back order, well here I am 5+ months later and still part on back order - so i contact dealer to possible work a trade in - they tell me my 15 impala is only worth 3000.00 because it's not running ~~ HA the book value for my impala is well over 8900.00 - shop offers me 3K ? why they say because it's not running -- well it's under warranty right - yes --offering me 5K less than vehicle is worth - rip off - shop also damaged my vehicle in the time it's been there (damaged rear bumper) --at this point I've contacted Chevrolet with my compliant -- RAY CHEVY IS ONLY LOOKING TO MAKE $$ they do not care about the issues of having my vehicle wrapped up 5++ months - Ray chevrolet has been able to bill GM every month for the loaner they have me in - yet another money maker for them -- I've purchased 5-6 cars from them over past 20 years - NEVER AGAIN - stay away from this dealership - SNAKES !!

Good service but... I had a coupon for money off an oil change. Guy says oh I can do better. Ends up giving me a rebate for a 15 dollar visa card that no one would take. Finally got it used. What a hassle. Could have had money off. Seriously was angry.

I went in early one morning and from the second I got there to second I left I had absolutely amazing service. Everyone was very friendly and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Definitely will go back.

When driving home from work, all types of warning lights appeared on the dash board. I called Ray Chevrolet to schedule a service appointment. I was close enough for an oil change, so I had asked for an Oil Change and a tire rotation. I dropped my car off on Friday night. I was called by Luis when my car was done. He stated that a wiring harness and the valve cover was replaced under warranty and the tire rotation/oil change was complete. I could pick up my car at any time. I picked up my car on Saturday evening and there was no problems. On my drive to work on Monday morning, when I had just pulled into the parking lot at work and a warning message comes on telling me that there was low oil pressure and to stop the engine. I turned off the engine and coasted into a parking space. I called the Service department shortly after 7:00 am to speak with Luis, my Service Coordinator, but he was scheduled to start later in the morning. I spoke to Liz Frohling, the Service Department Manager, and explained the situation to her. She said to check the oil level using the dip stick and call her back. During my next break, I checked the dip stick and it was bone dry. I looked under my car and noticed a nice sized puddle under my car, there was also signs of oil all over the engine compartment. I called the service department and was able to talk to Luis. He scheduled for a tow truck to pick up the car at my work and told me that I could catch a ride with the driver back to the dealership, if I wanted. When the tow truck arrived, he had my car on the bed of the truck in no time and we were driving back to Fox Lake. I work in Rockford and would have been stranded if I did not catch a ride with him. Once I got to the dealership, Luis had arranged for a free loaner car for me to use while my car was being looked at and repaired. Liz Frohling stopped by when I was talking with Luis and expressed great concern about the situation. The next day, Luis calls me and explains that when the valve cover was being replaced the mechanic did not torque all of the bolts and this caused a leak path for the oil. The engine was checked over for damage and the cover was resealed. The engine compartment was degreased and washed down. My car was also detailed inside and out. Thank you Ray Chevrolet for taking responsibility for the mistake and making it right! I have been using several dealership service departments for my repairs, based on where and what I am doing, but I think that I will be using Ray Chevrolet for all my future repair work.

I had to have a wheel alignment on my 2014 GMC 3500 Denali. I was greeted by service advisor Shelly Berg. I had a couple of questions about my truck. Shelly was not sure of the answer since my truck has a diesel engine, but another service advisor John Geary was walking by. He heard the question and stopped to answer my few questions on the diesel engine. My truck was brought into the shop to begin the work. I was shown to the waiting room. The waiting room had comfortable furniture, a large screen TV, 2 desktop computers, Wi-Fi hotspot access, coffee, water. There were some minor issues brought to my attention. Those issues were addressed. Shelley and Liz F. We're able to apply some discounts to my total bill. All in all I would use Ray Chevrolet again to address any concerns with my truck.

My appointment was scheduled for tuesday talked to them tuesdsy night to get an update...was told my car hadnt even been brought in yet...wasnt in til wednesday picked up thursday night. Staff is friendly and place is clean

Good service team. You have to be cautious cause frequently services on the invoice are not done. Also minor services are not mentioned or offered unless you request them.

Basic service is great, i would say fantastic, however like many other sometime they tell u u need this replaced or that and in fact u dont, i usually skip all of the add ons
