Our family was put through complete hell from the front desk manager Sara. It was absolutely embarrassing and overall sad experience with this hotel. Please check your receipts and company policies before staying as Sara will make up her own policies and question everything you are doing at the hotel. She asked why we needed the room we booked, why we were there and questions about our stay that were NONE of her business. Very unprofessional and rude. She also failed to mention there was construction going on , on the floor above us and we had to hear loud banging from late at night and they started again at 7am. I would definitely consider a nice hotel in the area but definitely not there. Absolutely horrible. Sara made up her own prices and incidental fees to charge. Reconsider before booking here!!!!!

Sara Smith. the front desk manager is AWFUL. the absolute worst excuse for a manager or hotel employee. she double charges for rooms, will tell you ABSOLUTELY no visitors allowed (which is not true), and will ask WHY you are booking. That is NONE of her business. she s been fired from other hotels in town before. Not to mention they started construction at 7:00 in the morning right about the room. i cannot believe they keep this sorry excuse of an employee working for their company.

The rooms were good and neat. Ample parking space. The staffs are courteous. The location is easy to access. Breakfast options are good. The induction bases are good for providing adequate heat to prepare some quick dishes. Wifi speed is decent. Pay and wash machines are available in the common area. Have some readymade food items available near the front desk which can be quickly reheated through the oven or stove. No daily complimentary drinking water. You have to purchase or refill your water jugs from a common water dispenser. McD is nearby.Rooms: Good and clean.Walkability: McD is in Very reachable distance.Food & drinks: We visited during winter. There were some happy hours timed between 5 to 6.30 PM for drinks with some offers.

My kids and I stayed here last night and we were WOW d!Customer service was fantastic, rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was absolutely delicious! We re a vegan and vegetarian family and my youngest has a dairy allergy and we were pleasantly surprised at all the great options!Will definitely be returning next time we are here visiting family!:)Rooms: Clean, luxurious, and comfortable.Food & drinks: Lots of different options! Great oatmeal bar, yummy hot breakfast items, variety of pastries, and almond milk available as a dairy free option! Vegan/ vegetarian friendly for sure

Stayed at the residence inn in Forsyth, IL. Hands down the worse experience I ve had in a while at a hotel. The heat does not go above 75 anywhere in the hotel so my 8 month old baby was cold all night had to get more blankets. Was too cold in the room to shower. Then my sofa bed had a real life license plate from a car in it smh. I was told by staff that eventually the rooms get warm never did it was 25 degrees outside. If you care more about art on the wall than staying warm this is the spot for you.Rooms: Need to fix the heaters to go above 75 degrees that is a huge negative in my opinion this is the Midwest it gets cold here.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Took a bit to get response from the front desk, but otherwise, staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is having to walk through the cloud of cigarette smoke when exiting the back door where housekeepers were smoking. It definitely influenced the amount of tip we left. They need to move away from the door.Noteworthy details: It is at the end of a one way street and backs to a Home Depot. There are a lot of fast food options as well as full service restaurants near-by.

Rooms were ok even though there was some malfunctions inside our room. Their also wasn't anywhere to plug our phone charges without a phob.When we left, we noticed our car was hit in front of the entrance while it was parked.We asked if they had cameras? No we don't sorry. What decent place doesn't have security cameras for their customers. Now we have to eat it. I wouldn't risk your vehicles. There were some questionable elements in the parking lot when we arrived.

Insurance Company booked a reservation for us for 12 days while our house was being repaired from storm damage, when we arrived we received a key for the 3rd floor, and before going in we asked for first floor, was told there would be a 20 minute wait, after 45 minutes the manager came out to our car and said the insurance credit card was declined and we lost our reservation and now all their rooms were booked, when told this we were puzzled and said we could call the insurance company and he said it didn't matter we weren't getting a room regardless what the insurance company said. Horrible customer service and I would never stay in this hotel again!

So this is a tough one overall the hotel was very good except for one person at the front desk the staff was super friendly courteous and accommodating. We only had two snafus the door was locked and I had my sister's key to the room. It was pouring rain it was 3:00 in the afternoon and the door should not have been locked the woman at the front desk stood there and watched my sister standing in the pouring rain instead of opening the door to let her in a lovely guest let her in even though she look like a wet rat and the woman at the front desk said you should have come in this door. That would have meant from the only open parking space my sister would have had to walk halfway around the building in the pouring rain. The other snafu was we had asked for a room to be cleaned on our third day there and for extra towels housekeeping didn't change the sheets they didn't empty the trash and they didn't leave any extra towels. But the lovely lady at the front desk that afternoon was very accommodating and sent us up clean towels and when we checked out a day and a half later we still had over overflowing trash cans

The room was amazing and very up to date. We had a lot of space to spread out after our wedding. The bathroom was also spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was seamless. We had one question about charges and the manager was very nice and did his best to explain. The breakfast was adequate. We did not have a chance to use the fire pit or pool but both looked nice. I have a lot of family in Decatur, this will be the hotel we stay in during extended visits from now on.

It was a very nice hotel! Clean everything! Really nice people running it! They make the rooms so that if you want to stay for a long time, you can! They have a kitchen with a full refrigerator, a small dishwasher, a stove top, cupboards with dishes and silverware in the drawers! The bathroom only has a shower, but I like showers and the bed was huge! Outside of the rooms, they have an exercise room and a inside swimming pool and even a basketball half court! We never stay anywhere except at a Marriott hotel! To me, they are as close as I can get to home! They also gave us a breakfast that was really AWESOME! They had everything anyone could possibly ever want! I had scrambled eggs and sausage and Canadian bacon and fruit and yogurt and orange juice! I was full for about 4 hours! Thank you so much Marriott for making our stay exceptionally great! I would give them 5,000 stars, if I could!

Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and modern. But the bath wasn't up to standard. The size and quality was fine. But the shower was an open concept with half glass and the rest open. Water splashed out onto the floor outside. But most annoying was the bath exhaust - sounded like a noisy residential bath fan, except there was no way to shut it off and was too noisy to keep the bathroom door open. Acceptable breakfast buffet.

The residence inn is pretty nice! The rooms were spacious and clean. Everyone who worked their from the front desk clerk to the breakfast Stewart seemed genuine and affable. My only grips is that it took awhile for my room to warm up but other then that my stay was perfect! Note: I stayed in a king one bedroom suite.

OK- We've never stayed here before, but we gave it a try after we found other hotels at this exit full. We are so glad we did. We didn't have a reservation on a Monday evening. The ladies at the front desk were very accommodating. We ended up with a 1 bedroom suite on the end of a hallway. It was huge! Plenty of room for my son and I, and it would have been perfect for one more person, as well. Nice living area with a full kitchen. (Small dishwasher, full size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave and a nice size sink. It was fully appointed with dishes, pots and pans. Large bedroom with a King bed. Sectional pull out couch. Large desk. Kitchen table with 2 chairs. Large bathroom with a full size tub and spacious counter. Very reasonable price for the size of the room. Great location with access to lots of shopping and dining. We may not get back to Decatur for a while, but we will definitely try the Residence Inn brand again! We loved it!

Clean spacious beautiful rooms with full kitchen complete with dishes! Staff very friendly, the breakfast was good with real eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Gym and indoor pool to help work breakfast off. We stayed in several hotels on our road trip and this was by far the best and least expensive! Almost forgot the bed was so comfortable.

Just checked in and ask Amber one question on possible late check out. She was rude and condescending. If she doesn t like customer service jobs, she should not work there. Hopefully we will receive better service in the morning.

We had a family wedding event Friday night and quite a few decided to stay at this Marriott. The staff was very pleasant and very accomodating of our large family. They opened the pool early so we could all be together and have fun. Thanks to the crew!!

I gave it a 4 star because whoever took my call in the morning didn't bother to tell me that the hot breakfast was cancelled and didn't tell me the pool was 1 hour increments and by reservation only(even to paid guests). Other then that, great price for the room, very clean and we'll kept. Would stay at again.

Hotel staff here are super friendly, and the ladies in the kitchen treat guests like family. They host evening mixers early in the week with refreshments and snacks. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and features of my Suite. Flat-screen TV was on a swivel base so you could enjoy HBO in bed, kitchen, or living areas. Outlets have USB ports for charging your devices, and led spotlights bedside for easy reading. I stayed here almost 2 weeks for work and honestly felt like it was home away from home.

Have a suite that is perfect and affordable. The receptionist was pleasant and knowledgeable about area restaurants. Far from highway so no road noise. Bed comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again when in area.

This is a beautiful, clean hotel. It has an upscale contemporary feel. The pool was perfect for our kids and the outdoor firepit was SO nice to relax by in the evenings. Customer service was fabulous. Brandon greeted us and made sure our room was all that we needed it to be. We want to come back to the area just to stay in this hotel again!

Very clean, quiet place. Perfect for families. Only a couple small complaints. Pool was chilly, but it was 10 degrees outside so whatever, hot tub was perfect. There was a dirty towel behind the door in our room, but no big deal, it happens. Other than that it was perfect. Definitely stay here again when in town!
