Originally went to Discount Tires on North Ave. In Melrose Park ( Really Bad Experience Sells Person though I was an Idiot!!! Sadly Mistaken). So I got a refund and went to Pep Boys in Forest Park. Ralph was such a Beautiful person. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did I purchase a full set of tires with warranty and wheel alignment. I stayed and waited for the work to be completed. Ralph you are awesome. I would definitely recommend going by to see them. Tell Ralph I said hello

Experience was fine except for a terrible wait time AFTER I set up an appointment and arrived on time. I was told that a tire change would take an hour. When I came back an hour later, I was told it would take ANOTHER hour. When I came back after that hour, I sat and waited for a third hour. The office had my phone number from the beginning and never called to update that the car would be taking longer or to explain why. Won t be returning.

Great service. They were able to find a nail in a tire that a car dealership could not. They were short staffed but did their best and got me out in an acceptable amount of time. The manager and mechanic were both friendly and helpful.

Estimated 1 hr, come back in 1 hr and they say another hour, come back another hour and they say 20 more minutes, come back in 20 and they say a little more and still waitingI just stopped askingDon t tell me 1 hour if it s going to be 3, just be honestAlso your empty little store stinks and I don t like sitting here

Mixed experiences here. Recent oil change was great. Last visit, they didn't communicate when car was done and when I get back, they hadn't accomplished anything with various excuses. I would have expected a phone call at min.

Got ripped off for the cost of a $300 4-month-old tire because during the original install they didn't put the insurance on it. Typical subpar performance.

Dont even bother bringing your vehicle here. Brought my van in for brake service, they had it on the lift and failed to perform the work needed, despite the obvious need for new brakes. Decided to give them a second chance for a leaking tire and according to the counter guy, my van does not fit in their garage even though they have worked on it before. Despite all of this decided to try again for my personal vehicle with a tire leak. Was told by the counter that there was no time for me that day because of 6 cars ahead of me, at the time there was one car in their garage and multiple technicians. You d have more luck at any other shop.

Went in 4 new tires to take advantage on the current tire sale along with getting a much needed wheel alignment. Totally satisfied. The total job time was about 2 hours Matt provided exceptional customer service. Mechanic did a great job. And the one employee,who got me 4 valve caps for the tires,after I realized the mechanic forgot to include them, I appreciate him as well.

Don t go to this place. Take an appt for an oil change day before. Show up for appt and say they can t do it. Didn t even call to say that they couldn t do it. Very unreliable and the guy handling behind the desk was a lazy terd. Would suggest going somewhere else, even if you have an appt they might not take you!

Bought 4 Kumho Tires from this location and when I return I feel appreciated. Ultra clean, friendly and COVid practice in place. Free alignment, rotation and road hazard as long as I keep the tires. Unfortunately they could not repair the screw hole as it is too close to the shoulder edge. Road hazard covers the replacement -minus tread depth, otherwise would have been a free patch. So... on to another location with the tire in-stock.

The Boys from Pep were great! Helpful, knowledgeable and understanding. My car has been aligned nicely, oil changed. Better pricing than a dealership for sure!

I made an appointment online and had asked for both an oil change and diagnostics. I picked up my car and the check engine light was still on. The mechanic said It just needed an oil change. I asked him if he could look at it as I had requested. He said and he said we don t do diagnostics here, you d have to go to another shop. Drive it around and the check engine light will come off. Essentially the guy, working at an auto shop, lied and told me to drive around with my car that needed repairs? With no assistance?I have been driving it around and it s having the same issue, check engine light is absolutely still on. Don t go here if you want to know what s wrong with your car.

My experience today was not what I expected from Pep Boys. I chose them for a flat tire repair because I could schedule an appointment at 10am. After airing my tire to get to Pep Boys, they advise I need to leave my car and it will be all day because they are short staffed. I get staffing can happen. Pep Boys just needs to manage their process. Shut down appointments until you can handle what a customer needs. I drove to Firestone.

I had went to another shop for an alignment, and it was WAY off. I brought it to Pep Boys in Forest Park and was blown away at how quickly the job was done. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Now my 17 year old cars rolls down the road perfectly straight. I couldn't be happier. I will be coming back again!

Find somewhere else to go! I had been there several weeks in a row and they never told me I needed brakes. Then my axle boot was cracked possibly from having to get towed, when they told me I had pads, shoes, rotars and drums front and back that needed to be replaced! They also replaced my battery 1 month ago. Needed another just yesterday!

Yesterday I stopped by to request a quote for 2 tires. I was so tired and stressed because I had left home and finally made it to work and had a flat. Thank God for Matt. He really helped me. I returned today and the service was awesome, quick, and staff friendly and I'm so thankful. Plan to utilize Pep Boys in Forest Park for any service needs now. Thanks definitely a satisfied customer

Went into this location for an alignment and Alex and his staff were amazing and told me my car was in good condition and told me he can still adjust it so the alignment is close to perfect. 10/10 service! Going to recommend to friends and family

What a great place! I came in on a Friday morning, no appointment, because of a flat tire. They squeezed me in amidst a full schedule, and had me out the door in no time. Very very generous!

Awful customer service. Bought tires from here a few months ago. One now has a slow leak, likely a nail so I took it to be plugged. In and out - 10 minute job. I very politely explained I was there to have my tire looked at for a slow leak. Guy walks out to the desk, no smile, no greeting, sipping a coffee. Stares me in my face as I explain and plainly says okay and keeps staring. Doesn t start to explain the process, how long I might be waiting, cost - just stares. So I say to him - well, that s why I m here. I d like it repaired. He then asks me if I can leave my car. I ask him what that looks like and he says, I have appointments ahead of you, you can t just walk in I explained I understood that but I m clearly just asking how long the wait is. He tells me nearly 3 hours. Tires were under warranty but I d rather pay someone who is polite to fix it for me. I will NEVER buy anything else from this store again. Awful customer service and just plain rude.

Booked an appointment for an oil change. I was told right off the bay that my car only takes synthetic (twice the price) when I insisted that it takes conventional oil the tech relented that it did indeed accept conventional. The included inspection found that air filters needed changing. Fair enough. 3 hours later I was informed they didn't have the parts for the filter change. Why on earth was I even given the option for the filter change in the first place and/or forced to wait that long if they didn't have parts on site?!? Absolute waste of time, will not be going back here since they can't communicate the easiest and most obvious things and don't value your time.

Noticed a nail in my tire right before leaving for a holiday weekend trip and they helped me get back on the road ASAP. Super helpful staff and they got the job done right and were able to do it faster than they originally said so I was very happy about that.

Normally I receive decent service from the forest park location but today I scheduled an appointment for ac/heat services only to be turned away and told that they don t offer that service- the tech can t do that and to go somewhere else. Why is it being offered as a service on the website for this location then ? The decent thing would have been to call your customer and let them know that it wouldn t be available before I came all the way here.

Had issue with brakes that was under warranty and Alex took care of the warranty service. I was ready with an hour. No more issues and brakes work great!
