This is the place to go for an honest mechanic who is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Gary and his wife Kim are such good people and they truly care about their customers. He helped me work through a bad situation recently and kept persisting until the job was done. He works hard and charges fair prices for outstanding work. I'm proud to say this business is in my town and encourage everyone to give them a try if you haven't already. Thank you Gary for all that you did to help me. I appreciate you and Kim.

I don t post a lot about shops but if anyone around farmer city Lincoln or anywhere needs a good reliable mechanic call or message this man he worked hard told me that my wheel bearing went out he stayed after hours just to make sure we had our vehicle back and for $60 a hr he has 30 years knowledge very good work and had me taken care of all in a day thanks Gary everyone go see this man support your local shops

I was just three hours from getting home from a road trip when I blew a wheel bearing on the interstate. I limped my vehicle to t he DaysInn and got a room for the night. Upon my research I found Meier Automotive on google maps and went there when they opened @ 7:30 the next morning. The sign said "OPEN" as promised. Explained my situation to "Gary" and he took over and he got me rolling again in few hours, at a reasonable cost. Thank You Gary! I highly recommend Meier Automotive if you find yourself stranded with vehicle issues near Farmer City, IL. Gary makes stranded motorists top priority to get them on their way ASAP. Thank you, Gary, for being one of the good guys out yet!!

On the way home from my dad's funeral. I had a loud noise come from the front end. The wheel bearing was shot. I was 8 hours from home. They fixed it right away. My son and his bandmate were driving from Oregon back to Maryland after their band went "on tour" all across the country for a couple of months. Of course, a mother worries about all that driving. When my son called yesterday and said there was a problem with their van, I was concerned. They happened to pull off the highway in Farmer City, Illinois and I'm so glad they did, because Gary Meier went above and beyond to get the lug nuts they needed - and thanks to Mrs. Meier who went to a couple of stores to find lug nuts that would fit the wheels. Gary did an excellent job of fixing the problem, making sure the van was safe to drive and giving them advice. THANK YOU, Mr. Meier for your honesty and professionalism. It warms my heart to know that there are good people in the world. God bless you and your family. Have a wonderful Christmas.

I went with Meier initially because I was unemployed and needed an economical option to replace a motor in our Buick. It started off well but there were issues with the first motor, not sure if on him or the manufacturer. After over a year and over 7000.00, i was forced to take my care back unfinished because he simply didn't want to work on it anymore. He eventually got a new replacement motor installed but tried to force me to sign a release of liability/ gag order but we refused. After refusing that he still didn't complete the work- motor break in procedures were not completed which invalidates the warranty. He quit working on it because the first replacement motor failed and the manufacturer didn't warranty the labor, so he got stuck with it. I offered to pay half as a good faith gesture, bad idea. He then turned around and forced us to pic up the car by preparing to institute a storage fee and transport fees to storage. So now i have a incomplete install in our family vehicle. I advice people to think long and hard about where you take your vehicle for repairs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Meier Automotive is a helpful shop with very respectful staff. They have worked on my vehicle many times through their 16 years of business. Excellent service while going through Leroy Illinois I noticed my ford f350 brakes where making a grinding noise I called shops all around and nobody would help me they would tell me they where backed up 2 weeks out then I called meier automotive and since I am a hotshot driver I explained to them my situation and they got me in first thing the next morning and everything was quick service I would recommend it to anybody going through there or lives there very nice people thank you Mr. Meiers and Mrs.Meiers for going all out and helping us get back on the road again may God bless you both.Santiago from south texasService: Brakes

Gary does great work I took my truck there to have the oil pan gasket replaced the staff is friendly and I was able to make my appointment easily and they fixed my truck in a timely manner the prices are much more honest then you would get from a chain franchiseI love that it is a US citizen operated and family-owned business
