Joe and James, the brothers who run this shop, earned our business years ago when my wife stopped in because of some engine issue that started as she was driving near their station. They diagnosed it quickly, found that it was a minor item, fixed it, and told her no charge. We've been their faithful customers ever since and they always do excellent work at reasonable prices.

A part of the underbelly of my car was dragging/scraping on the pavement when I was driving. I took the car to James at Skokie Auto Service. Within 1hr I got a call that the car was ready to be picked up. The repair must have been very easy because they didn t even charge me (it was a plastic clip holding a metal part that needed to be replaced).These guys are definitely honest mechanics, and good people for helping me out with the quick repair. Usually I do not submit reviews on companies I associate with because I expect great service. However, the quality of service , professionalism and communication were strong reasons for me to take a time out and give the highest praise to Skokie Auto Service Inc as they are all above reproach. I highly recommend them for any auto service needed, honest , efficient and ponctuel. Anyone who lives in Evanston, Skokie, and Chicago, go see Joe and James at Skokie Auto Service for auto repair. They get the job done in reasonable time and you will never come back twice for the same problem.i have been with them for 8 years and I only have good things to say about them. Best of all they are honest and very hard working. Try them and you will see why I talk so highly of these guys, truly they are the best!!

Mechanics at Skokie Auto Service are very honest and know what they're doing. They also do a thorough job and a gives you an update so you always know what's happening. Totally trustworthy and wouldn't take my cars elsewhere!

I have been to this location several times for repairs over the last few years and have always been very pleased with the work that has been done as well as the customer service. They have been honest and never have tried to convince me to do repairs that I did not want to do. I highly recommend Skokie auto service for your auto care needs.See James or joe

I was able to schedule on short notice, and James stuck with me on a persistent issue with my car and saw it through until it was fixed. I ended up paying a lot less than what I thought it would be. Nice guy who fixed my minor repair for $20 on the spot without a wait. I knew it was a minor repair but could not drive with the plastic engine shield dragging on the street. I tried 2 shops before stopping here. The owner quickly stopped what he was doing and took care of me. I appreciate the help and allowed me to get to work on time.
