This place is ridiculous with gas prices compared to other gas stations in the area. They re charging $4.49 a gallon, i commute through Roger s Park to get to Lake Shore drive. There s a BP on Sheridan & Howard who was also charging $4.15 a gallon! I highly recommend NOT giving them (Shell) your business! Shameful.

Warren Auto service, is extremely friendly and very generous to its customers. Warren is always willing to go the extra mile for your satisfaction and to help you out. I couldn t ask for a better mechanic shop.

I've used them for service a couple times and they are just not great customer service wise. No issues with car service, just not friendly folks.

Empathy and reassurance!!Less than two weeks after I acquired my "new" car (a 2011 Prius), I had a rude awakening when a noisy start told me the catalytic converter thieves had been at work overnight. I left the car at Warren's, where they installed a new catalytic converter, and assured me the thieves would not be back for this one, as they have no interest in after-market parts. Nonetheless, I asked them to install a shield, which they did with their usual competence and courtesy. I've trusted Warren with my cars for 25 years, and would not go anywhere else.

their air pump doesn t have a card option to pay with. I know this is not their problem, but I had less than $2 in my bank account and no change it cash to speak of. There were no other air pumps within almost a mile and my tire was unsafe to drive on. I explained to the guy with curly hair and glasses that my tire was unsafe to drive on and that since I had no cash on me and their machine doesn t take cards, could I use my Apple Pay or debit card to pay for a dollar im quarters. The guy proceed to tell me; very condescendingly that they can t do that and maybe jewel or Trader Joe s can help me. I told him I can t get a $1 cash back and since they have a service station. Would he consider giving me enough air just to make it to the free pump a mile away. He replied oh yes absolutely! I can fill your tire for $5 . I was just awestruck. I m well aware that my financial difficulties aren t their problem, but I wasn t asking for free. Considering f that I patronize this station multiple times per week, one would like to think they could cut me some slack, especially when my tire wasn t safe to drive on. So I walked next door, per his instruction, to Trader Joe s and they were more that amazing and traded me a $1 in quarters for $1 on debit,. While I was doing that, the guy ran out of the station (as another car pulled in needing air) and was about to start yelling at me for my car being there. I will NEVER buy fuel there EVER again.

Reviewing Warren's auto service shop (not just the gas station per se): I really value this shop and trust the mechanics here. They are very straightforward, reliable, efficient, professional and also personal - they explain clearly what is wrong and what needs to be done. Also will tell you honestly what does NOT need to be done! I'm bringing my 2016 Subaru Impreza here for service in the future, not to the dealership. Recently they dealt with a problem and called me promptly to tell me the car was ready - SOONER than expected! I really appreciate Warren's!

I'll sometimes get gas here despite the high price just out of appreciation for how good and fair their mechanics are. Been taking our cars here for 8+ years and they somehow always manage to fix things for less than the estimate. They explain options clearly, get your permission before starting extra repairs, have never tried to upsell me, and haven't ever messed anything up. What more could you want?

Warren s Auto Service is the best car repair shop in town. All of the employees at Warren s are very nice and all are very knowledgeable about cars. Warren s is a completely honest shop and, does not sell services or parts you do not need, like some other shops. Not to mention Warren s is locally and family owned. 10/10 would recommend for car service and gas!

It's unfortunate that Mini Coopers don't make seats that have replaceable parts. The mechanics at Warren's did a great job of quickly identifying the problem with my passenger seat and giving me a quote/estimate on the price. Although their conclusion was pretty much the same as my conclusion (a broken wire), they quickly readjusted the price for the check-up. I really appreciate their understanding and efficient service!

Nicest, most trust worthy folks you can find. They are always honest about what my car needs and what can wait if necessary. Warren always asks about our family (and we compare notes about raising our boys) every time I go in. I m never going anywhere else.

We have always had outstanding experiences with Warren Shell. Not only top-notch service, but done with integrity and neighborliness. You'll never get an up-sell with them, and if your car doesn't need the work, they'll tell you. I don't say this often at all, but you can trust this business!

Not only is the staff kind and knowledgable, they never rush you into auto repair decisions(HondaCRV). They take cars in for repair as soon as possible and genuinely want to help you out. Warren a mechanic randomly helped me with a dent on a rental and even let my kids get involved in the car cleaning . Amazing!

Somebody you can TRUST !What incredible, kind service, from true professionals. Never for a minute did I feel I was being gouged or taken advantage of. Being an owner of 4 very old vehicles, one with over 150k in miles, the others 200, 250k, I feel I can say this with certainty. Every step of my car repairs were explained in detail. A very special place for your car.

So I didn't technically take my car in for any services, but Warren generously helped me when I was in a jam. I came back to my car after a quick trip to Trader Joe's and my car wasn't recognizing the fab. I went next door to see if someone could help. They could have easily said they were busy, but Warren stopped what he was doing to see how he could help. He walked over to check the car out, brought a portable jumper out and replaced the battery in my fab. It ended up being my fab battery and Warren didn't charge me a penny. After that experience I would say it's a safe get to say you will have a great experience with mechanics you can trust!

Warren is my guy, period, end of sentence. I had to wait a few days to get some space in his garage (always a good sign!), but once I got my car in, he over performed and undercharged for his services.I had to have an outer tie rod replaced due to road damage. Total parts and labor was 140 AND he threw in alignment at no charge.Busy, comprehensive, and efficient. Couldn't give a higher rating.

The mechanics here have always been very friendly, honest and helpful which has been so comforting to us as parents knowing there is a place close to campus that our daughter can go for car repairs, but it wasn t until this Thanksgiving week that our theory was put to the test. Warren and his team worked overtime to get her car fixed and for less than what we thought it would be!

After Warren and his team fixed a valve cover leak, I decided to get some brake work recommended (by another garage, too). Problem: somehow the locking lug nuts had gotten frozen--Warren needed to torch them off, and spent hours and hours more than the work would normally have needed. He was willing to cover the cost to replace the wheels himself, not to mention cost to remount/balance, but I thought that wasn't fair to him. The cost for the job, including a new wheel, was significantly less than what I would have expected even without the scenic tour. And they were able to do it relatively quickly--it took a while for the wheel to ship, but they were able to make my car drivable when I needed it. I was already favorably inclined, given my own experience and that of another friend whose car they maintain. But this will earn him a customer for life.

I had just gotten a full tank of gas but when I went to start my car it wouldn t start. I was about to call AAA when one of the mechanics came running out asking me to pop my hood. I wish I caught his name but I didn t, anyway, he told me my battery was dead and to go straight to get a new battery. I asked him how he knew I was having issues he said he could hear it when I was trying to start my car. I inquired if they had a battery for my car and he checked and they did. This was not a pressure sale because he didn t think they had one in stock. He checked and they happened to have one and I said do it. It was very sweet or professional if you prefer of him to immediately help me without even asking. I drive for a living and have had multiple issues over the years and have never been offered assistance the way I was at this location. Thank you so very much!!! Today is 9/8/20 at approximately 2:30 pm so for all working that day - I appreciate you and hope your employers know how awesome you are!!!!

Went in there for a quick headlight bulb replacement and retrieval of a tool I'd dropped into my engine the day before and Warren and crew were absolutely wonderful. Great service, kind, easygoing. Highly recommended.

I pulled into Warrens with a tire that was close to flat. I was hoping to just put some air in it and be on my way.Warren asked me if they could have a look at it before I filled it with air at the gas station air compressor.After they filled it up for free, they found a small screw that was lodged in the tread. He removed it and put a plug in it and told me that it would most likely out last the tire itself.I said, "how much do I owe you??" He said, "oh don't worry about it."My tire at Toyota or NTB was $300 to replace.I was so impressed that a local business, especially in the car mechanic field operates with such kindness and support.I highly recommend Warrens Shell Service for your car needs.

From my point of view and my experience, Warren Auto Service offers quality, professionalism and without a doubt punctuality. There is nothing better than being treated with at home criteria. Highly recommended. Excellent experience.

I cannot tell you how difficult it is to find a trustworthy, honest mechanic. Warren's Shell is rare. I live in another state now, and when I have to take my car in for repair and am told all the work that needs to be done, I have called Warren to verify if in fact the symptoms and diagnosis match his description/diagnosis. On numerous occasions he has saved me a ton of money and time. I drive back to IL for minor work to this day with my 2002 vehicle.

I dropped off my car for an oil change and to check on a rattling noise. It was Ready to pickup in about two hours. They Secured a heat shield that was making a rattling noise at no charge, on a Sunday.Excellent service every time.

If your automobile or truck is in need of maintaince and or repair this service station to satisfy your needs. The mechanical staff are real pros. They will provide a honest and understandable anyalysis of what repairs and parts need to be performed and utilized. The pricing is above average however one is given a solid warranty and the service goes above expectations. The outside pumping area is clean and well maintained. A bountiful selection of soft drinks and snack foods are available for purchase. I was impressed that they keep MUG Rootbeer in stock. Restrooms are clean and sanitary. Attend!!!!!!

Warren, Matt, Anthony and the crew do a great job keeping my car with 105k miles safe and affordable. I'll have mixed feelings when I get a new care and don't get to see them as often. Thank you

Wow the gang at Warren's Shell in Evanston is a great bunch of guys. Warren the owner is a certified mechanic, honest, and just a good person to boot. I get all my work done over there and always feel I'm treated fairly.

Very impressed. I needed my snow tires put on before holiday travel and even though they were very busy, they let me drop off my car and finished the change faster than expected. Professional and kind customer service.
