I called Jake this morning after seeing good reviews and how geographically close he is to me (I'm new to the area). I had what I thought was just a slow leak in a tire, so I told him it was no rush. He said he was busy, but didn't want me to be driving on a potentially bad tire, so he said to come in at 1:00 and he'd squeeze me in. I got there right at 1:00, he took my car right away, and less than 30 minutes later, I was on my way with a permanent patch in my tire (which would have definitely been completely flat by tomorrow had Jake not made time for me today). He is a super nice, genuine man who seems to really care about making sure everyone gets his best work in a timely manner. I would trust him with any other work my car may need.

I had a good experience with Jake. I appreciate that he's by appointment so I know my car will be looked at the day I drop it off. Jake worked efficiently and charged very fairly.

I got a nail in my tire dropping my daughter off at college for the first time. I got stood up at another appointment to repair my tire as I was leaving town...so I called Jake, and he said bring it by. He took a look, removed the nail, and patched the tire...all in short order. He also helped make sure that a customer was getting the right service and right tire, while connecting with them. Highly recommend!Service: Tires

My family & I have been going to Jake for yrs. He's great bc he's honest. He'll tell you if you don't need anything done on your car & will never try to scam you. Prices are good too. Go to Jake if you want an honest & reputable mechanic!

We are from southern Illinois and recently visited our daughter and son-in-law who live in Evanston. Late afternoon the day before we were planning to head home, we discovered one of our tires was very low on air and we could not inflate it. We called Jake at 4:40 pm knowing his business was going to close in 20 minutes. Jake agreed to not only look at our tire, he also removed the screw and patched the tire which kept him at work about an hour past closing time. Jake was so kind and told us he had a soft spot for people in a bind. What a lifesaver! I would wholeheartedly recommend Jake for your automotive needs.

I Never meat some one so rude and unprofessional, He make me feel so uncomfortable was talking only about money he was telling me he would charge his mother for his services if she came to his shop!!! Made absolutly no sense, was putting his voice up I can't believe he was talking to me like that. Dirty unprofessional, uneducated Man.

I am a foreigner. I visited Jakes Auto two times in 2020 and one in today. Two of them including today's case were because of my misunderstanding about vehicle functions. They were honest, spending time to teach me about the car.When there was acually a problem in my car, they were very professtional. And the price was very reasonable. I could feel their honesty.I like Jakes Auto. I will remember this place.

I am extremely pleased with Jake's Auto. I worked with Rick (Manager) over the phone to coordinate A/C work on my daughter's car and found him to be very professional and honest. They had to purge and reload the refrigerant and did not charge me for new refrigerant since they recycled what they took out. Actual cost came in well under original estimate.Highly recommend them!

Jake is an honest and conscientious mechanic. He saved my son from buying a really dangerous car. We live nearby, he always remembers us and waves if his head isn't under a car hood. I have taken my cars here for a long time, and he has always done a great job. In the summer his son worked there,and it feels like a family place. Rick, though not related does a good job too. As Jake keeps his faith, you have to get your car before three on Fridays, but I admire that too.

Jack is the best mechanic ever - he is honest, reliable and does a great job with cars. There were some issues occurred with my car's electronic which he diagnosed for me completely free of charge!

I took my car here because my mother suggested. I had to get my brakes replaced and they did that. Then about a year and a half later they were grinding and squeeking again. They had to replace calipers. Now less than a half year later, my breaks are grinding and squeaking again. 1500 down the drain and now im going somewhere else and god knows how much ill have to spend. I feel drained and taken advantage of. Thanks for nothin Jake.

Jack is a very qualified mechanic hard to find such a great guy. Once you come to him you won't go anywhere else. Very reasonable and fair price.

UNPROFESSIONAL... I had a flat tire with a nail in it.,I spoke to Rick the evening before and the morning that I went, he didn't tell me that it would be a few hours before he could actually put just a plug and a patch on it., I asked him why didn't you tell me that when I called and was driving this morning, he said, "you didn't ask"... The place was empty
