Fabian, John, and the entire team at Gerber Collision and Glass are excellent. They got the parts and did the repairs in less time than quoted. They also drove me home after I dropped my car and then delivered my car because I could not pick it before the weekend. High quality repairs and amazing customer service!

Too bad I can t give this business 0 stars! have been several times NEVER WITHOUT ISSUES!They don t answer the phone. They send updates that are inaccurate. The last two times I was there I asked that they also have Gerber fix the crack in my windshield and both times I ve picked it up the crack is still in my windshield. My keys were lost at the shop and then coincidentally my car was stolen two months later from in front of my house without forced entry. Bill, the manager, should be fired. He is rude and unprofessional. I will never go there again and will pass on my experience with everyone.Service: Body & Trim

They went out of their way to do an excellent job, especially Fabian, in replacing the banged up front bumper cover on our Honda Civic. The part was a long time coming, but then they jumped on it and got the car back to us within a day. They also tidied up and rubbed out several other spots, which they didn't have to do, so the car looked really great when my fiancee picked it up.We are very happy with their service!Service: Body & Trim

Accidents are not a planned events in one's life...They happen on their own schedule and mosty wreck a havoc on your car and your life.We recently had an incident and needed a place to fix our 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Someone hit our car dead-on the back-passenger tire, ruining the rim, as well at mechanical parts. We picked Gerber on Green Bay as they are a direct shop for our insurance.I was greeted by Rachel, and also helped by Matt (the manager). It took them only a few working days to get the parts and fix the car! They handled all the communication with our insurance company. They even went above and beyond, by dropping off the car with my son, as we had to go out of town.Overall - very recommended. Friendly and highly professional service.I hope not to need them again, alas, with the nature of accidents, as I postulated - In the next event I will most definitely give them my businessServices: Steering & suspension repair, Painting, Body & Trim

Speeding car on Lake Shore Drive spun out and hit my Honda Fit Sport, smashed left front quadrant, tore off front bumper. I was thinking it was totalled. My ins, State Farm, recommended Gerber. Took 3 wks but they frequently updated me on progress, answered questions, were polite, helpful, patient. Got my car back today and I could not be more pleased! They did a fabulous job! Highly recommend them.

In November, I rear ended a pickup truck in my Subaru. I absolutely loved my car and they have since changed the body of the car for the worse, so I wanted the vehicle restored to its original condition. I had the car towed to Gerber in Evanston. It took the adjuster about a week to approve the work and took another 2 months to get the car back. My main concern wasn't getting it back quickly, but rather getting it back perfect - and they did exactly that. They had the car detailed, filled with gas, and restored to even better condition than before the accident. I couldn't tell the car was even in a collision.Five stars to you guys at Gerber!!! You have one happy customer!!!

I had to get a windshield chip fixed and decided to work with Gerber Collision due to its national branding and guarantee if the the repair didn't hold up. However, when the windshield cracked from the repair site 2 months later, I called Gerber to have the windshield replaced. They stated that the repair would cost around $420, including the reimbursement. When I reached out to a competitor, they quoted a replacement of $315. I called Gerber back to see if they would match due to their competitive pricing and make the situation right, they said that the price would not change. If I had to describe the repair, it would be over-priced and poor-quality. I hope this helps others not make the same mistake I did.Service: Auto glass repair

I waited a whole week before I wrote my review because initially I was very annoyed so here it goes. I contacted Gerber Collision online, it was very simple and received an estimate for repair and paint. I stated that I did not need a paint job just wanted to replace the bumper, they gave me a new estimate and everything was fine. I contacted them on Saturday and told them when I would drop my car off. Thursday evening I came in and there was a young girl who greeted me, she was very professional but can't say the same for the older lady who would not allow me to finish my sentence. She insisted that I would not get my car back until Monday but the mechanic clearly stated my car would be ready Friday, once that was cleared, things were set. The not so nice older lady calls let's me know that the wrong part was order and I can pick up my car. I walked in the young lady was there greeted me in a professional manner again, but that other lady is shoving the key in my face and proceeds to tell me what she stated on the phone and that they will call me to reschedule, remind you I have yet to get a word out...Not even a hello. Today is Friday and no call. I was referred there and the person ranted about their work. I personally liked the mechanic John I believe that was his name and the younger lady but the older lady whose desk is to the left of the entrance really needs to work on her customer service.

Gerber Evanston location did a perfect job fixing my '99 Volvo! The repairs were made in a timely matter considering how hard the parts are to get for the old vehicle. The communication was great among everyone working there. I felt prioritized and well respected. Every time I called the front desk employee knew exactly my car's status and updates.

I think it must be quite satisfying to be in a business that makes things like new again. My parked car was hit and I went to gerber for an estimate. The staff was friendly, gave me a couple of options and prepared the quote while I waited. Previously I had a bumper repaired there, and the process was seamless and easy with the car rental facility next door. The work was well done, and there is a good feeling in the office.

Gerber repaired my 2017 VW Touareg after a rear end collision three years ago. After repairs were complete I picked up the car and drove for twenty minutes when the car stalled out on a 4 lane highway. I got them to come tow the car back for further inspection. They held the car for an additional week and then returned the car to me again. A week later I got all kinds of errors and took the car into a VW repair shop to find out their were multiple electrical issues. It has been a journey but after three years and a few thousand dollars for a mechanic to discover that when Gerber fixed my rear bumper improper wiring lead to wear and eventual arching that causes the system to short and cause errors. Given the complexity of today s Cara I would recommend going with a repair shop that knows your make and model well.

I would give 0 stars if allowed. I am finally getting around to putting this review in place after almost a year. While attending Northwestern, my daughter's Rav4 was hit while parked in Evanston. Since Gerber was a nationally (we live in CO) State Farm certified repair center and the work is guaranteed we had the car repaired at this location. Work was finished in March as scheduled. My daughter thought it looked great and even noticed they chipped the left rear light casing which they promptly replaced the following weekend. Seeing it remotely via mobile phone, I thought it looked pretty good as well. We get to Evanston for my daughter's graduation in May. Go to clear out some stuff in the trunk to make room and there is 4 inches of water in the mini-trunk! I decide to deal with it when she gets the car back to Colorado. It just happens that the rear door on the other side was hit (don't ask) and so I took it to Caliber Collision to get that fixed. The left rear door was fixed, but they took a look at the Evanston repair because of the water that was in the trunk in May. I quote "Your car would have never left the shop in the condition this repair was done" and "We won't touch it". I take the car to Gerber here in Colorado and they agree to examine the repair and agree that the repair is not as required by the manufacturer and promised. On the original repair, the rear body panel was replaced but improperly spot welded to the car, it was not sealed when it was welded in place, the tire well rubber grommets were missing, the paint was bubbled around the left rear window, there was primer overspray on the roof, the paint was not blended into the rest of the car at the rear door frame, the rear carpet was moldy due to the water leaking in and there was rust build up on the interior frame.Gerber in CO replaced everything and did the repair correct. There was nothing they could do about the primer overspray on the roof which was sealed under the clear coat from the previous repair. That still bugs me. This whole process took from September until first week in November. Fortunately, we didn't need the car. This is outright fraud as the repair was paid for by State Farm and me and billed as within specifications and as required at the full price and clearly corners were cut. I would inspect any repair work beyond the surface quick look and make sure ALL the work promised was done.UPDATE: 2/13/2020Michael, the new Manager of the Evanston Gerber location called me to see what they could do to make things right given the whole process noted above. He made all the arrangements in Colorado for me with the local office and we corrected the paint issue promptly with no problems and in a very timely manner. I can't say enough about Mike's efforts to "make things right" and amending my review that the location is under new management and if Mike is attentive to my needs one year after the repairs under previous management, I can imagine he has taken strides to make sure the Evanston location does quality work in a timely manner.

Fantastic experience from my initial phone call to driving off the lot with the car like new. Everyone is friendly and wants to go the extra mile to delight a customer. Came to Gerber b/c a neighbor recommended them, and I'm happy to pass on that recommendation!

After 3 times bringing my vehicle back, the vehicle is still not driving right. The alignment, which was not even affected by the accident is still not right. They cant seem to get it right. The paint on the hood is fading less than 5 months after they painted it. Not to mention that the pearl white paint has many swirls and simply doesn't look right. I had to contact corporate to deal with the issue. Would not recommend this Gerber location to anyone!!!
