Smith automotive is without a doubt the best auto repair physicality in southern Illinois. In reality it is the best repair garage in the 3 state area. Perry Smith is an absolute Rockstar as am auto mechanic who specializes in diesel engines. There is nobody with his knowledge, enthusiasm, and absolute love in what he is doing. Bring a diesel mechanic from anywhere in the country and I guarantee Perry will outshine him.

You will not find a more knowledgeable and reliable mechanic. He accepts nothing less than perfection. The depth of his knowledge is unbelievable. I would not trust my Chrysler product in any other hands. Smith's Automotive was recommended to us by Don's Auto Body in Murphysboro, IL. Smith's was swamped but the mechanic made time to troubleshoot that afternoon. We discovered that the engine Larry Stovesand Kia had swapped out 7 months ago was shot. At least we didn't have to pay to find out. Smith's didn't charge us.

Perry is very knowledgeable concerning diesel engines. Explains everything in detail so you know exactly what is wrong and what is needed to fix the problem, NO SURPRISES!!!

This mechanic is not conveniently located but is totally worth the drive their facilities are very impressive. The owner is very friendly and their head mechanic is Awesome. Definitely recommend them to a friend.

Will never call them again. Whoever the lady was that answered the phone was completely rude! Apparently we were wasting their time by asking a question. We will put money in someone else's pocket
