I live in the city, but work has me in all parts of the greater Chicago area. My truck threw its serpentine belt. Called the shop around 1pm to see if they could help. They said they would look at it and see what was wrong.A quick inspection found the tensioner broke. Said they could get the parts and fix it. Two hours later my truck was fixed and I was heading back home.Great customer service and efficient turn around. Very impressed with their accommodations to fix my vehicle quickly and at a fair cost.

This is my second visit. The first time I needed shocks and struts and most recently needed a new ballast for one of my headlights. These guys are absolutely great and very trustworthy. They keep you in the loop regarding the progress of your repair and the prices have always been more than reasonable compared to other shops. On top of everything they are really nice people. Can t recommend these guys enough.Service: Electrical repair

I ve been bringing my car here now for a few years. It started with just needed new breaks, had them done and they lasted like 4 years and it was so reasonably priced. When I needed breaks again I brought it back and learned my car needed quite a bit more work. They were honest about what needed to be done asap vs the things the also needed to be done but would be fine to hold off on. Always 100% satisfied with their work and they are very fair priced.

I stopped in performance Auto for the first time and talked with Craig the owner asked he could look and give me an estimate for brakes and rotorsFor my daughter's car. He gave me an estimate .The next day I dropped the car off and picked it up next day.Service was pleasant work performedWas high quality and price was lowerThan estimate. Look forward to bringing my other viechals to them.

I arrived two days prior to service to set up an appointment. I had the job quoted (I actually had the part as well) for a camshaft sensor replacement. Agreed to the price. On the day of the appointment I dropped off at around 8:30AM and the vehicle was completed just after lunch on the same day. This is not the first time I've used Performance Auto for my vehicle. They are straight forward, courteous, and understand no one wants to spend more than they have to. Professional, prompt and honest!They actually call you when they say they would, unlikely now days. The service clerk was kinda edgy but not worth complaining for, just thought I d toss that out there. They discounted a percentage from my bill because the job wasn t as difficult as they thought it would be. Would definitely do repeat business!

I have used Performance Auto several times and have never been disappointed. Friendly service and top notch work. If you have a $500 job, they don t try and sell you a $1000 job. Over the past several months my truck has received exceptional repair service from water pump to fuel system restoration. It's an F-150 w/276k that runs better than when it was born in 2015! I have a Mercedes and I went to my local Mercedes dealer for mechanical work on my transmission. Mercedes quoted me $6000, I spoke to Craig and his team did the work in 24hrs for half the cost. I brought my car in for new tires and they were very helpful. As a single woman not knowing much about car parts and pieces I was pleasantly surprised that they took the time to explain things and didn t try and up sell. Pricing is very reasonable and as far as I can tell they seem to try and work within your budget by doing the most needed repairs first. (This I overheard several times while eavesdropping while waiting in the shop)Since then I have had my brakes done and again OUTSTANDING service! I highly recommend that you bring your car in if your looking for a permanent place for all of your car needs.Thanks guys at Elk Grove Performance Auto

By far one of the best mechanic shop experience for me. I walked in for my app and was greeted by Craig and attended to right away !I was told in detial what was wrong with my car which I thought was nice.Their pricing is VERY reasonable & service is incredible.( 10 / 10 )

Probably best place i have ever been. Very professional and at same time friendly staff. Owner of the place Craig is absolutely amazing. They are the best!! I took my Jeep Cherokee to be looked at and they got everything fixed within in a few hours! Their prices are excellent with excellent service! I definitely recommend this place! They work on all kinds of cars and take appointments super fast! Love this place!

Had to leave my car at Performance Auto Center after an unfortunate breakdown traveling through Elk Grove. Although I took a chance blindly dropping off my car on a Friday evening, the folks at Performance were prompt in contacting me and communicated well through the whole process. There has always been anxiety around getting my vehicle serviced for any reason. Craig and his team have not only effectively eliminated this dread but created a sense of calm and excitement to actually bring my car in!I trust Craig and his entire team to do what is best for me and my needs. The entire team is incredibly kind, caring and knowledgeable! My car has 130k miles and to date I have had my oil changed, my gas cap replaced and my brakes replaced.I am so grateful and thankful that Craig and his team offer their services at a price I can afford. They are the very best and I highly recommend their genuine customer service and their expert services!
