I had the pleasure of connecting with an exceptional car service expert, Jason Cain, through a Facebook group, and I can t praise his assistance enough. Not only was he incredibly kind and patient, but his expertise in car repairs was outstanding. Despite not knowing me personally, he treated me like a valued customer and went above and beyond to understand the problem thoroughly.His knowledge and experience in car repairs were evident as he provided clear and detailed instructions on how to diagnose and fix the issue. He patiently guided me through the process, explaining each step with great clarity. Absolutely 100% recommend. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else from here on out. Jason is extremely knowledgeable, kind and straight to the point. The whole staff is great. Had my car towed there bc something blew with the transmission and fearing the worst, it turned out to be the best case scenario. He made me new transmission lines in the shop and fixed the fittings that were messed up from a previous mechanic. Honest, great prices and solid customer service. These guys are great and honest!I get appointments right away I go in the door and Jeannie greets me with a smile and very cheerful attitude. What's the most important thing to me is there honesty I Had a headlight out I took it to the dealer ship where I bought my car And they told me I needed a new Head Light $500 A friend told me about Higgins transmission and all it was a light bulb.I've been going to them every sense i don't take my car anywhere else and Jason Is theBest!!Before I meet Jason I took my car to the dealership they got me for $300 for Something I didn't even need l never go to a dealership for maintenance. Try this place you Won't Be sorry !!!

I have been taking my cars to Higgins Transmissions for years and they have always been professional, dependable, and most importantly honest and fair. I was about to get my car repaired at another auto shop but was surprised with how much the quote was. I sent Higgins the quote I received and explained to them what happened to my car and I saved over a thousand dollars and the car ran like a champ after their head mechanic Jason fixed it.Their customer service is awesome as they do a great job of communicating to me what is wrong with my car and they go above and beyond to get my car back to me when I need it.They are a family owned business and they truly care about taking good care of their customers. I have referred a number of my family and friends and some have left their long time mechanics for the type of professionalism and service they receive at Higgins Trans.

My Landscaping and Snow Plow business owns over 20 vehicles. Higgins has maintained and repaired all my vehicles for over 10 years. If we are down a vehicle Higgins is our first call to get it repaired correctly the first time. They are always fair and honest. Jason and his Mom, Jeannie and Dad, Bernie are a great family business and I could not keep all my trucks maintained and on the road without them.

Multiple visits to another repair shop, an estimate from Mike Anderson Chevy for over $1400 to fix the problem . . . Higgins transmission fixed my problem for under $250 and in one visit. I felt taken advantage of by the other mechanics as well as my own car dealer. I was absolutely taken good care of by Jeannie and her team. I highly recommend this shop and I will use them again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I thought this place would be great based on the reviews but I was disappointed. The heat in my car stopped working and I took it here to repair it and not only did they not fix the problem, but my car reeked of coolant after they charged me $700 to replace the thermostat and water pump. Then I took it to the dealer to find out what was going on, because obviously I wasn't happy with the results at Higgins. The Chevrolet dealer told me the water pump would need to be replaced again because the part was no good. While the malfunctioning part itself might not have been Higgins' fault, the dealer also told me that the mechanics at Higgins reused bolts that were very obviously for one time only use and this caused the coolant leaks and the malfunctioning water pump. Higgins refunded me for the part but refused to refund me the $100+ or so they charged for labor. I don't think I should have to pay for labor for shoddy workmanship. They insisted they could not refund me for labor because I took it somewhere else to get a second look instead of giving them a second chance. They also insisted it was okay for them to reuse the bolts because they resealed them, but clearly it wasn't because it made the problems worse, caused leaks, and the dealer identified the issues they caused quickly and obviously. I will not be going back.

My transmission needed a complete rebuild. They were fantastic! They went above and beyond and had my van repaired in a timely fashion. Very nice people to work with. I will definitely use their services again. Thank You!

There's nothing worse than when you think that something might be wrong with your car, especially your transmission. You realize that the mechanic could tell you that your timewarp-converter was broken, and you'd just have to hand over your credit card.I know a bit about cars, but transmissions are their own thing.When I changed my fluid, it looked questionable to me, so I bought it to Higgins for a look. They pulled the codes, drove it, looked at the fluid that I took out of my car, and then did the one thing that you never expect to hear:They told me that my transmission was all good.It takes a great mechanic to get your car working every single time.It takes a better mechanic to know that your car is working fine, and they don't need to work on it.Thanks, Higgin's Transmission.I hope we won't see each other for a while, but when I need someone to look at my trans again, you're my guy.Service: Transmission

I have a lot of experience with car shops as my father owned one back in the day. This shop is everything a repair shop should be. Reliable, honest and fair priced. These are things that most repair shops lack. I recommend this shop to a friend last night and have many other times. Go here if you want your car fixed the first time and done right.

I've been taking my car here for the past 8 years and im happy to have a mechanic that I trust. I was recently in to change my breaks and replce my tires and I was able to get in pretty quickly. Service was excellent and JC found a great deal for me for my new tires. My car runs like a champ with my new tires and new brakes. Have a 2012 Chevy Suburban, was burning about 5 quarts of oil in a month. Brought it into Firestone to have fixed. They charged me $900 to replace high pressure oil sensor and some manifold gaskets. The suburban still burned tons of oil, again 5 quarts in a month. I spoke with friend who knows the head mechanic at Higgins. Brought in the suburban and he fixed it for $250, PCV valve. Firestone should have never replaced either of the 2 items that they replaced. Thanks a bunch JC! Suburban runs great!

This is my go to neighborhood mechanic for many years. I actually have never had to use them for a transmission issue but they have done several coolant systems, brakes, and basic maintenance. Always honest and very fair. Best thing is they never upsell you on items you don't really need.

Took in my 2006 Monte Carlo Super Sport needing a complete transmission rebuild. Jason worked on my car and did a absolutely fantastic job. Will recommend over and over to others.
